Speedy deletion nomination of Swords Pavilions edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Swords Pavilions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Welcome to Wikipedia edit

Here is some information you might find useful:

May 2015 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Post-2008 Irish banking crisis, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 16:12, 1 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Post-2008 Irish banking crisis a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 16:14, 1 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • I have also undone your move of Category:Post-2008 Irish economic downturn because of the number of links broken. If you think the category should be moved, please propose the move and get discussion and consensus from other editors before making the move. —C.Fred (talk) 16:17, 1 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

A thread has been opened about you at the administrators' noticeboard for incidents edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is User:DylanMcKaneWiki and the Celtic Phoenix article. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 19:49, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

More on moving pages edit

Sometimes, moving a page is uncontroversial and can be done without consultation. However, many times page moves require discussion and reaching consensus before the move can take place. That's the case with Post-2008 Irish economic downturn. There'd been previous discussion about the date range, so moving the page was at best premature and at worst against consensus.

You can open discussion as described at WP:RM about moving the page. However, I strongly caution you against any further bold moves in areas related to the Irish economy, especially given your account's track record. —C.Fred (talk) 17:20, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

May 2015 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Post-2008 Irish banking crisis. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. You have been warned previously not to do cut-and-paste moves, because it splits the page history which has issues for attribution and copyright. It's also been suggested that you take moves through the WP:Requested moves process to get consensus. Please do not do any further cut-and-paste moves, at peril of a block or other sanction against your account.C.Fred (talk) 17:28, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Please stop your disruptive editing or you will be banned. Snappy (talk) 19:25, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is your final warning. You may be blocked from editing without further notice the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Ilac Centre. Serols (talk) 13:36, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Ilac Centre edits look like good edits to me. @Serols: Could you be more specific about what you found disruptive in the edits? I see the addition of an infobox and a nav template, both of which are useful. —C.Fred (talk) 13:57, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello DylanMcKaneWiki, sorry for my mistake and thank you C.Fred for the revert. --Serols (talk) 15:57, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
(e/c) C.Fred, I also agree that it was a good edit. However, after the revert, instead of discussing it on the Talk page, DylanMcKaneWiki logged out to continue editing, rather than discussing things with Serols. That behaviour is something that needs to be addressed... BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 16:01, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Bastun on that point, especially since the IP attempted a cut-and-paste move. —C.Fred (talk) 17:07, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

June 2015 edit

Re Post-2008 Irish banking crisis -

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 17:49, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 01:21, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unilateral changes edit

Hey. It really doesn't look good when your first action (after returning from a block) is to make a unilateral change which is demonstrably counter to the agreed consensus. That's the type of thing that'll get a fella blocked again. Just sayin. Guliolopez (talk) 17:17, 17 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Blanking/etc edit

Hiya. Welcome back after your Wikibreak. I noticed that you removed some content without explaining why. It would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If it wasn't a mistake, and you would like to discuss or explain the reason for a change, then you could consider making a note on the relevant talk page to let other editors know why you think a template or other article content isn't required. Repeatedly blanking, reverting or ignoring consensus might be interpreted by other community members as disruptive editing - just something to watch. All best. Guliolopez (talk) 23:57, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Me again. While edit-summaries are useful in the course of normal editing (so that, per my note above, you might explain the rationale for a blanking or content removal), they are especially important when making a significant naming change or move. In general, one should not "move or rename a page by copying/pasting its content" (per guideline). If any of those articles need to be moved (for whatever reason), then please consider opening a discussion on the relevant talkpage, or making a move request. That way, not only will your rationale be clear to other editors, but consensus can be built, and (perhaps most importantly), the edit history is maintained - which is fundamental to the project licence terms). Guliolopez (talk) 00:21, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Guliolopez, you should be aware that Dylan has already been informed multiple times that he should not do copy and paste moves. He's been warned about this by me and others, including admin C.Fred. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 08:50, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

August 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  [[ axg //  ]] 19:25, 3 August 2015 (UTC) Reply

Revisited edit

Hi. Again. I reverted two edits of yours today. I made these reverts for the same reasons that the community has raised before. Firstly, I reverted your reintroduction of the term "Celtic Phoenix" to a section heading of the Economy of the Republic of Ireland article. As per the discussion previously (which you might remember precipitated broad page-protection and a block for yourself), the consensus is that this term does not have sufficient purchase or common usage to support that level of weight in that article (or indeed any article). Secondly, I reverted your recent unilateral page move. For pretty much the same reason. What evidence is there that "the Great Recession of Ireland" is the appropriate WP:COMMONNAME for that topic and article? The term "Great Recession" doesn't even appear anywhere in the article body text. If you feel a move is required or appropriate, please open a thread on the talk page. Thanks. Thanks for uploading File:Blanchardstown Centre logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:24, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
