ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Chefallen. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Israeli cuisine short description revert
Hello Chefallen, you recently reverted an edit I made on the s/d of the article Israeli cuisine. The short description which you seem to favour restates the article title verbatim, which goes against MOS recommendations with respect to s/d's (Wikipedia:Short description#Writing_a_short_description). Please peruse these rules and make the appropriate edit on the article's s/d. I would suggest restoring the s/d I had written or simply leaving it blank as the title is quite self-explanatory. - Revirvlkodlaku, thanks for referring me to the SD guideline; I also surveyed a dozen or so cuisine articles, and it seems that the standard practice is to use "Culinary traditions of ..." for the s.d. (as in articles for the cuisine of Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Japan, Lebanon, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom). I think that would be an appropriate s.d. here also. RE: Talk Page Warning
I'm not here to vandalize or disrupt wikipedia - I'm just removing a category that doesn't hold true to a book's content, which The Hoax of the Twentieth Century is not anti-semitic. Wikipedia's own classification of Holocaust denial/revisionism as anti-semitic is if the author alludes to a conspiracy - this book does not contain such libel or anything about hating Jews in it's own content. - Hi @Valereee, I was replacing one jpeg file with another, thinking that the new graphic and DYK to which it related was of more global relevance. However, I now recognize that I should have been clear about my reasoning and that it was not the right place to make changes anymore. - That was two edits, one of which you modified an approved hook, the second of which you switched what was the first hook and the image. Are you saying you did both of these things for global relevance? nableezy - 01:37, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Chefallen, for the record, even a minor change to a hook in prep at minimum calls for pinging the nominator in an edit summary. The first change you made was not minor, and would require not only a ping but a much more detailed edit summary explaining why you thought changing "independent press agencies" > "some news agencies" fixed a neutrality issue. I'd recommend bringing that kind of concern up on talk first.
- The second change was about as major as it can get and absolutely would require opening a discussion at WT:DYK with a ping to nom, reviewer, and promoter. Images at DYK, because they're destined for the main page, require multiple checks and layers of protection. We don't ever just swap out images willy-nilly at DYK; probably at minimum six different people have checked an image for various things by the time it gets to the main page. Beyond that, indicating in the edit summary that the change was an image swap ignores the fact you switched the placement of the image hook. Valereee (talk) 13:50, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi. I'm seeing all over the news that some corrupt prison officials offered female soldiers to the prisoners so they could have fun with them. And i'm not talking about playing chess. Could you make an article about it or at least write a line or two in '2022 in Israel'. I don't think this is related to ARBPIA but it's important that this information be registred in Wikipedia.
