Overflow of your Userboxes page edit

Dear User:CanonLawJunkie. Your page User:CanonLawJunkie/Userboxes is on overflow and appears at Category:Pages_where_template_include_size_is_exceeded. As a result, the bottom of your page is not correctly displayed. Perhaps could you split this page ? Pldx1 (talk) 16:03, 1 March 2016 . Pldx1 (talk) 14:43, 11 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Photios I of Constantinople may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Re: Canonical coronation edit

Hi, from your username I am making a wild guess that you might know a thing or two on canon law :) Could you help with this article? An editor raised an issue on talk page that "canonical coronation" is in fact not found in canon law. Good sources on the topic seem very hard to find. Can you shed some light? Thanks! Renata (talk) 04:10, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your senses serve you well :) I have lots of sources, so I'll try and see what I can find. Off the complete top of my head, I think it does have to do with canon law, since there are papal bulls that order the coronation, and a bull is most certainly a type of canonical document. Canon Law Junkie §§§ Talk 07:21, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I found something! This is an actual published source that uses the term! https://books.google.com/books?id=XwSICgAAQBAJ&pg=PT101&dq=canonical+coronation&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi3m-7DutPLAhVC7D4KHRLDCoUQ6AEIJzAC#v=onepage&q=canonical%20coronation&f=false It even describes the historical background and conditions for authorization, etc.!!! Speedy deletion nomination of Obrogration edit

A tag has been placed on Obrogration requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re Suppression edit

Hi CanonLawJunkie,

You recently merged Suppression (parish) into Parish. There's a lot of instances on wikipedia, however, where other groupings (mainly Dioceses) are listed as having been suppressed, and I can't find a suitable more-general target to wikilink the concept. Do you know of one -- or would you mind creating one?

Thanks, ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 08:32, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I also cannot find a general article on suppression of juridic persons under canon law, so I had added such an article to my "to do" list. I merged the Suppression (parish) article with Parish because it was a stub, would remain a stub for the foreseeable future, and was a very specific kind of suppression. I definitely agree that a general article needs to be written. Canon Law Junkie §§§ Talk 03:06, 3 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

JPII edit

My edit summary explanation was a bit of an oversimplification, but as far as I'm aware, "reigned" is the generally accepted style. "Was" is probably best, though, to avoid confusion. Deus vult (aliquid)! Crusadestudent (talk) 18:35, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
