Speedy deletion of SITACon edit

A tag has been placed on SITACon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 03:31, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Category:Proposed Decade in which Moses leads the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt edit

Since you created this and requested deletion on the same day, it was clearly a speedy delete as G7. Having said that, based on the discussion before it was closed, I think that you would be well served to simply make sure that the information is in an article. There appeared to be a very strong case for not creating a category, no matter what the name, for this type of information. Having said that, you are free to create categories of your choosing as long as you follow WP:CAT. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:21, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please update your status with WP:VG edit

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Editcount edit

Hi Bud0011, you can download my expanded extension here. The installation is the same as at the original extension, additional you can use SpecialEditcount.css (sorry comments are german) to modify the design. Have fun with the extension, --Steevie (talk) 10:41, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Looks good. Here it is in action, if you wish to see it. :). Thank you very much, Bud0011 (talk) 23:33, 16 June 2011 (UTC).Reply
Fine, but the popup window disappears partially at the bottom when there is no space. In my testwiki or here it doesn't - it moves upwards a little instead. Should I try to find the reason? Perhaps it happens only at the context of mediawiki 1.17.0 beta 1.
By the way, i forgot to inform you about the other extension EditcountTag.php in the same folder.
It generates an extra tag to display the Editcount in a wiki-page. Usage is [[Special:Editcount/USERNAME|{{#editcount:USERNAME}}]] in any wiki-page. A second parameter allows the selection of namespaces: * for all NS and commaseparated the NS-numbers to add or subtract. For example {{#editcount:USERNAME|0,1}} or {{#editcount:USERNAME|*,-0,-1}}. --Steevie (talk) 15:44, 17 June 2011 (UTC) PS: Are you also interested in an extension to display the created articles of any user? (I only have to translate it yet) (see here)Reply
Sorry for the very long delay in responding. I am interested. :). Bud0011 (talk) 02:56, 10 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
