Hello, I'm Black Falcon (talk · contribs · count · logs). Leave me a message.

About meEdit

Since becoming an active editor in late 2006, I have started 126 articles and made more than 47,000 edits. I became an administrator in June 2007, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page.

I am interested primarily in topics related to Africa, academia, politics, protected areas, and the Sri Lankan Civil War, although I will write about virtually any topic that catches my interest.

I can translate text from German to English and am willing to do so at request, subject to my availability.

Awards and barnstars

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar. Miguel de Cervantes once said, "Diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness, its opposite, never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes."

"Diligence is the mother of good luck." - Benjamin Franklin.  Brendon ishere 15:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Incredible Assistance. Thank you for your assistance in making WikiAfrica as good as it possibly can be! Islig 08:23, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar. You've made so many sensible contributions to article space and Wikipedia discussions, as well as your numerous level-headed administrative actions, that this seems the best description of you. With appreciation, BencherliteTalk 18:58, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

The 50 DYK Medal. I extend this unfortunately belated congratulations on passing the 50 DYK mark. In the past year, I have seen many of your DYK articles, covering people, places, boats and even trees around the world, including Australia, Europe, the Western Hemisphere and, most notably, Africa. We have an embarrassing gap of articles regarding the African continent, and the excellent articles you have created covering Liberia and Mozambique have been vital additions to fill a very big hole that exists in our encyclopedia. Thanks for all of your contributions, and I look forward to more of your articles helping you reach the rapidly approaching 100 mark. Congratulations on this well-earned award. Alansohn (talk) 18:14, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
