Adimadhyantham

Hello Anish. Thanks for your work. But I'm reinserting Adimadhyantham in Malayalam films of 2011. May I request you please not to remove it. The point you raised does stand. When we maintain a list of all theatrical releases, we should stick to the rule. But in the case of Adimadhyantham, it is already out of the box. It is released in that sense of the word. And it was open to public in the IFFK (not limited to delegates). Could we not credit that as a release? Now even if it be released by Ranjith or somebody else it is not going to run for even a week. There was even better viewership in the IFFK. So, should we stick that hard to the technicalities here as the authorities at IFFK did? So if we, all of us out here are that kind of purists, that we would allow only 'official (self declared)' releases in this particular list, why dont we leave it there for a few weeks until that holy baptism happens out of the hands of Ranjith or someone else? And remember that we are arguing on the finer legal(?) issues of a true film when a film like Krishnanum Radhayum is already in the list - a top-down irregular release, which was screened only in a few leased theatres. Would you consider that a release? The point here is that this is a reference list. Somebody who would be searching for this film should find it. That's all. Towards our ambitious perfectionism in maintaining this list, we'll pull it downward the list when the new release dates are announced. Until then wouldn't it be fair enough to keep it there? WP:LOGO, WP:NFCC Image size reminder

Hi, I just re-sized a between 40 and 50 WP:NFC images that you have uploaded. I have not done going through all of them yet. Please remember in Wikipedia we prefer to use the lowest possible resolution image that conveys the message. The rule of thumb I use -

• The largest dimension must be less than 400 px
• Reduce the image to the smallest legible size - around 200-300 px.

Image upload issue

Resolved

 – Help-me request fulfilled.

I uploaded the poster for Achante Aanmakkal (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d6/Achante_Aanmakkal.jpg). If we open the image in a window, it is appearing perfectly, but within the article it is appearing with some lines on the image. Please support to correct this issue and teach me how to avoid this issue in the future.

I fixed it, by replacing it with a smaller version. You can't upload non-free images that high-resolution or they will be quickly deleted as WP:COPYRIGHT violations. A good rule of thumb for copyrighted images like movie posters and DVD covers is that the smaller of the two dimensions should be 300px. Anyway, I'm not sure why the original upload showed up as corrupt. Probably juts a transient problem. The page (http://boxofficeverdicts.blogspot.in/) have been giving box office reports since 2011. The fact that it is a blog, does not prove that it is not a reliable website. copyright violations

there are two images under discussion - screen shot from a film and an image proposed for use in the info box. for the screenshot, there is no way to make it appropriate for use in the article unless the film copyright holder releases it to a general free use license - i am not going to bother wasting my time on that one. for the infobox one that is just unclear copyright there is no reason for it to be in the article when we have appropriately licensed images that we know CAN be used. and it is not MY responsibility to fix someone elses copyright issues.-- The Red Pen of Doom 12:06, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

I think you can keep maneej's name in malayalam notable deaths...as Bombay ravi is in the list eventhough he is not a malayali, it is true that Maneej never directed any malayalam film's but waiting room had malayalam actors like Indrajith, Sona Nair. The films camera was also done by a malayali, Dishad. Art was done by sasi perumannoor. Lot of malayalam 'association' was there for his hindi film. Think about it.. Kokborok script Koloma

My name Abel Tiprasa I hail from Tripura, my mother tongue is Kokborok, and I am a web developer, and I had been working on making a script for my language and in my study I have found a numerous numbers for scripts developed by my people, but we still don't have a official script for our language, so we are currently using the "Romans script" and "the Eastern Nagari script" to read and write Kokborok. But I can't understand what makes you so much interesting about our language and why only in Kokborok script. I found you are reverting my article of "Kokborok" in "Kokborok script(Koloma)". So, let's come in conclusion, and solve this talk, you don't belong to Tripura neither you speak Kokborok, than why are you uploading such a nonsense article, remember we still don't have a official script, so please don't edit anything in Kokborok article. Abel, please note that any edits to Wikipedia must be verifiable and from a neutral point of view. This is not a place for canvassing or promotion of original ideas. From the above it seems you are yourself the developer of the script in section (9) of the Kokborok script article. Unless there is verifiable evidence that this script is accepted and used in the Kokborok speaking community this may be a case of promotion of original ideas and should be removed from Wikipedia. There is no need to personally attack other editors for their differing views or calling their views "nonsense". Please be civil and argue based on verifiable facts. Also note, there is no such thing as article ownership. Wikipedia is a community of volunteers and everyone is encouraged to add their views. You do not need to be an expert in a field. In this case, the main concern is about due process (i.e. is this fact verifiable) more than about deep insight knowledge. I may recommend referring this case to arbitration if necessary. Abel Tiprasa Dear, sir Jake I am sorry for my misbehaviour, in Anishviswa's content, but sir I would like to inform you that Kokborok still doesn't has its own Script but it is so far using the Roman script and Eastern Nagari script to read and write, and to use in some official works. But don't have a wrong idea that Kokborok don't want it's own Script, in fact we want and I and many other developers are trying to develop a script for Kokborok. So, the work is still in the progress, and I believe that One day Kokborok will have it's own Script. But here the problem is some people without knowing anything just post in web and just claim that there's one is the genuine one, and me too I found someone doing the same. So, I request Wikipedia to don't let any such as Kokborok script (Koloma) be published untill the official works are completed

Unfortunately, we can't use them anyway, per WP:NFLISTS. The addition of these non-free images raised this article to the second highest usage by an article of non-free images on the project.
