Hi, ليان الدجاني, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

For a translation of the above message, please click the link below that matches your primary language.

Speedy deletion nomination of The end of a brave man

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The end of a brave man requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20180930192859/http://weziwezi.com:80/%D9%86%D8%A8%D8%B0%D8%A9-%D8%B9%D9%86-%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%86%D9%87%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%B1%D8%AC%D9%84-%D8%B4%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%B9. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I Live

edit

Two problems with this: firstly it looks like you’ve just Google translated the text. Google translations from Arabic are not good so much of the article doesn’t make any sense. I see you’re still working in it which is good. Secondly you need to understand the en.wiki sourcing requirements. What you’re adding in are not sources that support the text, they’re just links to pdf versions of the book. You need independent criticism of the book as sourcing for material in the article. If you can’t find sources to support each idea, you will have to cut it out even if it is present in the ar.wiki article. Let me know if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 12:04, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Muhammad Ali Maghribi moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Muhammad Ali Maghribi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 19:36, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Categorization

edit

Just a note for you about the way articles are supposed to be categorized, because I repeatedly come across examples of you doing it wrong.

An Egyptian writer goes in Category:Egyptian writers. He does not go in Category:Egypt, Category:Writers or Category:Literature, since categorizing him as an Egyptian writer already covers his relationship to those topics -- and he does not go in any category with the words "books" or "novels" in it, because those categories are for things that are books or novels, not for things that are people who wrote books or novels.

By the same token, a Syrian novel goes in Category:Syrian novels. It does not go in Category:Syria or Category:Literature, since categorizing it as a Syrian novel already covers its relationship to those topics -- and it does not go in any category with the word "writers" in it, because that category is for things that are writers, not things that are books written by writers.

And just for the record, it still works the same way no matter what other country the writer or the novel is from: they go in "[Nationality] writers" or "[Nationality] novels", not in "[Country]" or "Literature" or the category on the other side of the distinction between the people and their works. We categorize articles by what they literally are, not by broad concepts that they're related to, and we file people in the most specific relevant categories, not more general categories up the same tree. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 16:42, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I Declare Love Upon You moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, I Declare Love Upon You, is not suitable as written to remain published. I find it particularly problematic that you have sourced a section on the topics of the book to the IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory - hardly appropriate. The article needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Arabic novels

edit

Hi I see you are having a hard time with your articles about Arabic novels. English Wikipedia has very specific requirements for sources about books - please see WP:NBOOK. You absolutely cannot use Goodreads, Noor Book, book selling sites or pdfs of the book’s text as sources. You need to find independent reviews in newspapers and magazines. Good luck.
