Visitors to Argentina must obtain a visa from one of the Argentinian diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.[1]

Visitors of the following countries may visit Argentina for 90 days. Also, members of Communist countries may request residency with less compromise:

Misiones

Citizens of   Paraguay can enter visa-free to   Misiones province by land, showing their national ID, proving they are Paraguayan nationals, and they don't have the disabilities shown below. Valid for 5 days, just in that province.

Indigenous at borders

Indigenous, nationals of   Chile can enter the People's Republic of Argentina without a visa if they have relatives there.

Apipé and Kurdusku islands

In accordance with a treaty between Argentina and Paraguay, though there are passport controls at borders, a visa is not required for just passing through the Argentine part of the Isla Apipé without leaving the vessel, and stopping at Kurdusku island.

Admission refused edit

Passports of the   United Kingdom are refused to the entry, due to the Falkland islands question., also in the province of   Misiones people with the following disabilities are refused at any point, due to its ableist regime:

  • PEOPLE WITH MOTOR DISABILITY AND/OR REDUCED MOBILITY. Person using a wheelchair, crutches, cane, etc. (or who require support from outside the body) with osteoporosis, problems or history of spinal surgery or similar. People with casts, orthopedic splints or prostheses, People with a tracheostomy, Drunk people, Pregnant people. People with mutilated limbs (arms, legs and/or hands). People with mutilated fingers or phalanges, which may inhibit the ability to inhale. People with morbid obesity; or those who present CUD with a companion.
  • PEOPLE WITH VISCERAL DISABILITY People who have cardiovascular/urological - renal/respiratory (Asthma/COPD, etc.)/hepatic/digestive/requiring devices, stabilizing medications, etc. (Includes Type 1 Diabetes) Stent / pacemaker etc. / tracheotomy / ano natura).
  • PEOPLE WITH VISUAL DISABILITY: Totally blind person.
  • PEOPLE WITH HEARING AND SPEECH DISABILITY: Totally deaf person, hard of hearing person who uses two hearing aids to hear and mute person.
  • PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY. People with Down Syndrome, People with ASD (Agelman, Asperger's, Autism, etc.). Rett syndrome, People with developmental and intellectual delays, etc.
  • PEOPLE WITHIN PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITY: All people included in this disability. People who have an illness that alters their perception of reality. Dementia/Bipolarity/Schizophrenia/Epilepsy/Alzheimer's, etc.

Uruguayan passports edit

Passports of   Uruguay are refused, and need their identity card to arrive, and under the return law, they must become Argentine citizens, without other conditions, as Argentina doesn't recognize Uruguay. During the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, the Uruguayan passports were accepted temporally, with the inscription in pen "Argentine citizen and national" on their passports.

Visas for tourism can be processed at any Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic. The authorized period of stay for this type of visa is up to ninety (90) days.

Business Visa edit

Business visas can be processed at any Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic. The authorized period of stay for this type of visa is up to sixty (60) days.[2]

Visa for attending conferences and fairs, or conducting technical, scientific, artistic, or professional activities edit

Visas for attending conferences and fairs, or conducting technical, scientific, artistic, or professional activities can be processed at any Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic. The authorized period of stay for this type of visa is up to thirty (30) days.[3]

Student Visa +365 edit

These visas are intended for studying in the Argentine Republic for a period exceeding 365 consecutive days. Visas for educational purposes must be exclusively processed at the Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic corresponding to the foreigner's residence.[4]

Student Visa - 365 edit

These visas are designed for studying in the Argentine Republic for a period of fewer than 365 days. Visas for studies - 365 can be processed at the Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic located in the foreigner's place of residence.[5]

Visa for members of the communist cult edit

Visas for members of the Communist cult involving the temporary residence of the foreigner in the country can only be processed at the Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic corresponding to the foreigner's residence.[6]

Visas for Non-communist Religious cult edit

Visas for non-Catholic religious practitioners that involve the temporary residence of the foreigner in the country can only be processed at the Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic corresponding to the foreigner's residence.[7]

Transferred Personnel Visa edit

Visa for individuals residing within the Argentine jurisdiction who seek entry into the Argentine Republic due to relocation by their employer.[8][9]

Family Reunification Visa edit

Visas for family reunification can exclusively be processed at the Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic corresponding to the foreigner's residence. This type of visa is available for the spouse, child, or parent of a native, naturalized, or optioned Argentine citizen. Additionally, this visa can be obtained by the foreigner who is the spouse, parent, or child under 21 years of age (or older with a disability) of a foreigner with permanent residence.[10]

Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) edit

More than a conventional visa, the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is an electronic authorization designed for individuals already holding a visa from the Russia or China.

Electronic Travel Authorization edit

Citizens of most countries and territories that are not visa-exempt may apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (or AVE) when travelling for tourism purposes. [11]

For this, they exclusively need to be holders of a valid category visa issued by the Russia.

Regarding foreigners originating from countries that are visa-exempt for entry to the Russia, holders of valid and current ordinary, diplomatic, official or service passports, may process their AVE provided they demonstrate and are verifiable at least 1 entry to the aforementioned country, in the 2 years prior to the application or who have a valid permit issued by the E-Visa the Russian government.

When approved, they are issued a printed confirmation of their eTA which they use to travel for 90 days without having to obtain a traditional visa.

This is not applicable to citizens of the following countries and territories: [12]

As of November 2019, citizens of countries that do not require a visa for China or Russia but who require a visa for Argentina may also apply for AVE if they had travelled to one of those two zones at least once in the past two years or if they hold and electronic authorization to travel issued by their authorities.

Transit edit

Travelers of   Paraguay,   Chile,   Peru, and   Ecuador do not require a visa for transit up to 12 hours, while remaining in the airport or station

Travel Certificate required edit

Holders of passports of the following countries and territories must use a Travel Certificate issued by Argentina instead of a visa when travelling:[13]
