  • ... that Hiyori Nitta was driven to become a voice actress because she wanted to appear in the long-running anime series Pretty Cure? Source: "新人声優 NOTEBOOK" [Rookie Voice Actor Notebook]. @Yoninah: To be honest, I really dislike this kind of hook myself and would rather focus on a different hook fact if I could. The main reason I tend to propose these kind of hooks is because many of these articles are translations of the equivalent Japanese Wikipedia article, which are mostly lacking in life details apart from these "why I want to be a voice actor" information. Sometimes these Japanese articles have other information, but they seem to be even more fanzine-y and more like trivia, which is why I rarely include them when creating articles. I really wish I could propose hooks that don't follow this format and I'm not generally a fan of them myself, but it's usually easier said than done. With that said, I'll try to look up information on her either on the Japanese page or elsewhere and see if I could find anything else of note. I have to note that in some cases, the information on the Japanese articles are sourced to offline sources that I don't have, so there's not much I can do when that happens. I'll see if I can find anything interesting, but if I can't find anything I'll just withdraw this. Not all articles are meant for DYK and even when I first nominated this I was already thinking that the hooks I proposed were starting to stretch things. Unfortunately, as the subject is still a relative newcomer, there really isn't much else information about her that I could still find. Having taken another look at her Japanese Wikipedia page, there isn't anything there that I could borrow to be used as a hook as the remaining information there is trivia that's irrelevant towards non-fans of Japanese voice acting. I'd still like to hear a second opinion on whether or not the hooks I proposed above are suitable or interesting to a broad audience, and if the response is negative, I'll just withdraw this. •   Approving ALT2, as "Pretty Cure" is not mentioned in the article. This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts for ALT2 are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I note the discussion above about the hook and see nothing else in the article more interesting. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:23, 3 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Yoninah: I think that should be okay considering the entire paragraph is sourced to the same reference, with the footnotes only being duplicated for DYK purposes. "Watch" is probably a better word than "view"; if "view" was due to repetition concerns, "watching" could probably be changed to something else.
