Orphaned references in Alex Blackwell (cricketer)
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Alex Blackwell (cricketer)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 06:51, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Alex Blackwell (cricketer) → Alex Blackwell – I think this is a clear case of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The other Alex Blackwell's are stubs, with a fraction of the pageviews. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:12, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support, I agree, it's a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. -- Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 20:38, 15 October 2017 (UTC)

Clean up article
editI'm new to Wiki so apologies if I got this wrong, but I'm really keen to clean up this article.
If you look at the wiki page for Ellyse Perry it's much cleaner and better organised - can we do that for Alex?
The intro section is far too long and should only contain her career highlights. Her cricket history should begin with her international career as it's the most important. Ellyse's is also listed clearly year by year when Alex's gets a bit messy.
Can we also have a table with important information as Ellyse's? Nobody will read through paragraphs to find out Alex's achievements in terms of runs etc. I think the entire article could be tightened up but I'm happy to keep all the details of matches as long as it's better organised.
There's also no mention of Alex's life post-cricket. She wrote a memoir last year, where's the mention of her book? Or the awards and achievements she won during her time playing cricket? Or her well documented passion for social justice including equality in sport. She's also a vocal supporter of the right of trans women to participate in sport, which is hugely important right now and should be amplified.
I'm happy to make these changes but I know Wikipedia is a collaborative thing, so I thought it was probably best to start a conversation and explain what I want to do first. Obviously everything I include will be referenced.
Alex is an incredible athlete who has gone on to do many other incredible things post-cricket and her wiki page should reflect that. Lottiemae (talk) 21:36, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
