February 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Paper9oll. I noticed that you recently removed content from Geralt of Rivia without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Paper9oll (📣📝) 06:17, 26 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Geralt of Rivia, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Disambiguation link notification for March 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Mandalorian (season 2), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Variety. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

March 2021 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Viserys Targaryen into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI help 16:06, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. In regards to adding infobox for the WandaVision episodes. These are all unnecessary. Given the articles are not about the music or soundtracks, this is just an unwieldly duplication of information already covered in the prose. Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:11, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop using non-free images in articles that are very likely to be redirect edit

Olenna Tyrell has been tagged since 2017 as containing nothing but plot summary. If I hadn't been completely burned out on Game of Thrones by the end of season 7, I would have redirected it myself. Someone will, or should, eventually, though, as it's been four years and no one has ever managed to add sufficient real-world information on the topic to justify the article. (I actually did redirect it based on the consensus at AFD, but because of the BADNAC I previously informed you of my redirect appears to have been manually reverted shortly thereafter. I don't have the energy to deal with this drama at the moment.) You do not seem to have added any substantial content to the article so that it meets our inclusion criteria, but you uploaded a non-free image and added it: do you see what the problem with this is? WandaVision soundtrack template edit

Before you try to re-add the infoboxes to the soundtrack sections of WandaVision episodes and start an edit war, discuss it on Talk:WandaVision. There you can argue for including the infoboxes, other editors can voice their opinion, and we can get to a consensus on whether to include them or not. —El Millo (talk) 21:19, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

April 2021 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Wikipedia invites everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, but one or more redirects you created, such as with Power Broker (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), have been considered disruptive and/or malicious, and have been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. . --mAyLiNgOeEd (Talk to me!🗣) (See what else I did on Wikipedia!!📜) 16:41, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Power Broker (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:30, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.El Millo (talk) 23:49, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Chernobyl (miniseries) into Draft:1:23:45. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 11:44, 22 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Dune sketchbook.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Dune sketchbook.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:37, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

December 2022 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge.

Please don't do that again, like you did with the
Mission: Impossible soundtracks. If you are trying to move a page but can't because there is a redirect in the way, please ask a page mover such as myself to do it for you. Thank you. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:27, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Megamind. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:46, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Ulises1126! Your additions to Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (soundtrack) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:48, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

MCU soundtrack chronology edit

Hello. I am not sure why you mass-changed all of the recent MCU soundtrack articles' chronologies. I have reverted your edits unless you have a good reason why we should ignore the TV shows. InfiniteNexus (talk) 17:16, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because for the TV shows, they don't have a template music box or even individual articles pages for the soundtrack, to keep the chronology connected. So I preferred to keep it connected with the soundtracks that have an individual soundtrack article or at least the music section, to endure the chornologies connection. I believe that maybe we should give the television shows their own individual soundtrack articles. Perhaps in that way we could keep connected the chronology for each remate connected. Also I consider there is enough material to create a least an article for the TV series soundtracks. Ulises1126 (talk) 22:44, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the explanation. But I don't think that matters, if a certain composer's previous work was a film that didn't have a standalone soundtrack article, we would still list that film in the chronology field. It wouldn't be correct to say, for instance, the MCU soundtrack that released before Love and Thunder was Multiverse of Madness, when it was actually Ms. Marvel. As for TV soundtrack articles, the current consensus is to not create those. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:17, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand. Thank you. Still I don't understand why individual soundtracks articles for the tv shows cannot be created? I see a lot of potential in the possibility of those articles. Ulises1126 (talk) 01:18, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I personally don't have strong feelings about that, but it's not entirely up to me. You're more than welcome to ask at WT:MCU or WT:FILM, but I know there are several editors opposed to that kind of article. InfiniteNexus (talk) 23:59, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Facu-el Millo. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —El Millo (talk) 03:05, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Spider-Man: No Way Home. Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 17:49, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see you've been warned numerous times about original research. In this edit at Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, you added a form of original research called synthesis, which is combining information from multiple sources to make a claim that no individual source supports. You can't look at a handful of reviews and assume they represent the majority. We rely on reliable sources to do that for us. Per WP:FILMLEAD, "Any summary of the film's critical reception should avoid synthesis, meaning it should reflect an overall consensus explicitly summarized by one or more reliable sources." If you need help understanding this further, drop me a note on my talk page. In the meantime, please do not add these kinds of summaries to the lead sections of film articles unless you are able to tie that information directly to a reliable source. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 06:39, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! 220 of ßorg 17:03, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Typos in The Boys articles edit

In every single episode for the Boys you’ve created (at least in the five I’ve checked, I’m gonna assume the same mistakes are in the other ones) you have created several typos in the production section & created unusual pipings. For example you created a pipe for “Anthony Starr” for Antony Starr, “Chance” for Chace, multiple times Translucent was misspelled as Transucent, Campell for Campbell, Hasell for Hassell, Salguiero for Salgueiro & Capon for Capone, among several others. I am not sure if it’s some translation error or something but I wanted to make you aware of that. The name of the actor’s wiki article will be the correct spelling if you need help with that, so creating additional piping is not needed. I will be going through and fixing it when I see, but please be more careful on your editing and double check your work for typographic errors before submitting. The Big Ride (The Boys episode) edit

I really think The Big Ride (The Boys episode) is a better disambiguator than The Big Ride (The Boys) in this case simply because the article it is disambiguating against is also The Boys-focused in nature. 51.171.59.155 (talk) 02:11, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
