Ed (comic) edit

The article Ed (comic) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:22, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Egg (Game & Watch) edit

A tag has been placed on Egg (Game & Watch) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. June 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Dawn Bard (talk) 20:42, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Egg (Game & Watch)‎. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Dawn Bard (talk) 20:46, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

July 2009 edit

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:List of Game & Watch games‎. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please discuss, but don't remove comments. MuZemike 23:33, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please update your status with WP:VG edit

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Proposed deletion of A cry in the wild (series) edit

The article A cry in the wild (series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks any references to 3rd party sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 20:05, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Another gentle ping from WP:VG edit

Dear Sis and bro,

You are receiving this message because either [[Category:WikiProject Video games members]] or {{User WPVG}} is somewhere in your userspace, and you are currently listed in the "Unknown" section on the project's member list.

The member list is meant to provide a clearer picture of active membership. It is recommended that you update your status if you plan to regularly:

Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Canonsburg Lake edit

Please excuse me crashing in with this expansion—I thought this looked like a great candidate for a new article, so I spent a couple of hours putting together new sections for it and filling out the infobox. The article The three North American blizzards of 2010 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The 2010 is not over yet, so there may be fourth, fifth... The three are already presented at First North American blizzard of 2010 etc.; it's too early to summarize the whole year. Apparently the creator abadoned the attempt, anyway.

East of Borschov 19:09, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 24 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Videocart-17: Pinball Challenge, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Breakout (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disambiguation link notification for April 27 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Korean War, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Battle of Seoul (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:28, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your username edit

Your username implies that there are two people using this account. I'm amazed that in 12 years here no one has told you that this is not allowed. The rule is one person, one account. If there are two people using this account, you should probably open a new account for one of them, and then change the name of this account at WP:CHU Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:43, 1 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

March 2023 edit

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Sis and bro, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized below.
Under Wikipedia's username policy, a username should represent an individual person. It should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights, being a "bot" account - unless approved, or implying that the account has any administrative or "moderator" user rights, or any kind of "power" or "authority" over other users); nor be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of an organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company". Among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy on paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you.
Your username indicates that this account is used by two people. That's not permitted. Wikipedia accounts are for one person only. Cullen328 (talk) 01:58, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.
