  • A motion was passed to enact a 500/30 restriction on articles related to the history of Jews and antisemitism in Poland during World War II (1933–45), including the Holocaust in Poland. Article talk pages where disruption occurs may also be managed with the stated restriction.

Your signature edit

Hi. I am not sure if you know this, but I think your signature may violate policy because it inserts a linebreak at the end. Can you remove the line break from your signature? It would be greatly appreciated. This policy suggests that you can use non-breaking spaces instead. Thanks :) Aasim 13:33, 3 June 2020 (UTC) When someone replies on the next line without using a ":" you get this effect. Conversely the linebreak does no harm, coming at the end of the sig. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 15:00, 3 June 2020 (UTC).Reply
Another reply wihout a ":" after my sig render in a more useful way. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 15:00, 3 June 2020 (UTC).Reply

The signatures that do no harm are the easiest to politely crush, mind you. InedibleHulk (talk) 04:35, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Aetiology edit

How a (mis-stated) suggestion in guideline becomes policy.

  • Introduced here
  • Copied from here
  • This is the discussion about line breaks, which, the example makes clear, is talking about line breaks in mid sig.

DYK for COVID Symptom Study edit

On 10 June 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article COVID Symptom Study, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that more than 3 million people have downloaded the COVID Symptom Study app in the UK and the US? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, COVID Symptom Study), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

On the verge of quitting edit

See my talk page. I have a lot to contribute but I don't see why I should continue to donate my labor to a project where snark and drama are seemingly valued over constructive contributions. I'm probably overreacting but very frustrated right now. −−− Cactus Jack 🌵 15:33, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yep. Might as well quit. A lot of good editors already have. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.56.234.50 (talk) 07:08, 20 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

North Gate edit

Good to "see" you the other day! Next time I will try to fire up my laptop, which does have a camera. I'll try to expand the North Gate of the Royal Pavilion over the coming days; I have various sources to hand. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 15:12, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Excellent! There are some nice images on the article I included as a link, which must be public domain. I was interested that the author described John Nash's original design as two small brick buildings, not getting that this is a ground-floor plan, and that there was likely a room or rooms above, in a typical gatehouse style. Also the English Heritage listing suggest that the design may be a modification of a Nash design, rather than completely original, as the Museum piece implies. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Machinemade God albums edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Machinemade God albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
