Strange edit

Hi Radom1967, I'm a little confused by your edit to the Berlin article: Special:Diff/868781226/868781356. It seems to be a pointless edit that adds a space to the end of a paragraph. Could you explain? Thanks. --IamNotU (talk) 13:33, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Washington, D.C.

Hey, Radom - thanks for updating those stats - 2011 had become pretty stale. When you make updates like that though, please read the entire sentence (paragraph!) that you're updating to make sure that the single thing you're changing still makes sense in context. In this case you'd brought some figures up to 2018 but left standing the part that described DC's ranking - as of 2011. I'm sure that's the problem that the other editor identified when they reverted you (however inartfully it was expressed in the edit summary). Also it's almost always helpful to preview your edits before you publish them - you probably would have caught that syntax problem I wound up fixing for you. Anyhow, thanks for the new info, and I hope this is helpful. JohnInDC (talk) 14:16, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

Citations

Hi Radom1967, I noticed you changed the GDP figure for Berlin in this edit: [1]. Although the figure is correct, you didn't provide a reliable source, or update the existing one, leaving it with a broken reference, and you didn't update the rest of the sentence, which stated it was "an increase of about 5.4%". I see that you did basically the same thing back in February with this edit: [2]. Please try to be more careful about providing citations, thanks... --IamNotU (talk) 21:06, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Italian average wage in 2018 was higher than the Spanish one. Go to the related article.List of countries by average wage, this is the last official data published by OECD for Italy in 2018. The data in the article about Europe must be corrected about Italy and Spain. The average net wage was 32030$ vs 30239$.The net wage can be easily calculated € by the average yearly exchange €/$.an you change? Otherwise i'll do that.Thanks. Template:NYC boroughs

Hi.

When you added GDP information to this template, did you take the GDP for the city as a whole and divide it by the population of each borough, or did you have specific data for each borough?

A discussion is ongoing on the template's talk page over an editor's objection to having the data in the template. You could provide some background information which would be helpful.

Thanks,

List of Chinese administrative divisions by GDP

Hi! Please note that the unit of measurement used for GDP is 1 billion, not 100 million. Based on this, you have magnified the GDP data of China's provinces by 9 times, which is too far wrong. You are mistaken and need to be corrected. Similarly, the data used for the annual average exchange rate of the renminbi to the US dollar comes from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, not the IMF. According to the information released in the Statistical Communiqué of the People's Republic of China on the 2020 National Economic and Social Development (Here), the average exchange rate of 2020 was 6.8974 RMB to 1 USD dollar. According to IMF WEO data in April 2021 (World Economic Outlook Database, April 2021), the purchasing power parity for RMB was RMB 4.2082 to 1 international dollar in 2020. Proposed deletion of European countries by forest area

The article European countries by forest area has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Out of date compared to List of countries by forest area

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Replaceable fair use File:Meta Quest Pro.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Meta Quest Pro.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ViperSnake151  Talk  23:44, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Druskininkų Rasa logo.svg

A tag has been placed on File:Druskininkų Rasa logo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Regions of Belarus

Hi, your edits to the regions of Belarus (Vitebsk Region, Grodno Region etc) added interactive maps but they are displayed in the center of the page (at least on my end) rather than in the infobox, which I am assuming was the intention. Mellk (talk) 13:33, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

Yeah table somehow doesn't allow it to put map in it. Maybe toy can do it? Radom1967 (talk) 13:38, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

No. I will try it thanks Radom1967 (talk) 13:43, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

Non-notable companies

Hi, I was doing new page patrolling, and noticed that you had created articles on several Lithuanian retailers (Norfa, Šilas (supermarket), Čia Market, and Vynoteka), which is great. Unfortunately, however, the sources cited are not enough to demonstrate notability, so I cannot accept them as they are. We need to see significant coverage of the subject in multiple (3+) secondary sources that are independent and reliable. Each of these articles cites the company's own website, a publication with only financial info and other business metrics, and then one or two sources that might contribute towards WP:GNG notability but aren't enough. I propose to move these articles into the draft space, where you can continue developing them, as this would be the best way of protecting them against deletion. What say you? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:07, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

I don't know I putted some time creating these pages. I know they not notable enough but I noticed that almost all companies on "List of supermarket chains in Lithuania" list was red color they didn't have pages so I created. These companies in Lithuania are quite notable enough (in international matter no). I don't know what to do. Radom1967 (talk) 08:43, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
if you won't delete these pages I can promise I'm not creating any another company page which is not big. Radom1967 (talk) 08:46, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
I have to do something with these articles, they need to be patrolled. But I can't accept them when the notability isn't there, so the options are to either delete them or move them to drafts until such time as you've found more and better sources. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:51, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
drafts is the option or I can improve them while they are posted Radom1967 (talk) 09:10, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
It's better if I move them to drafts. If I just leave them there waiting for you to add sources, some other patroller may come along and draftify them anyway, or even start deletion proceedings. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:14, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
I just want to ask why articles like these are kept without sources:
Lindex
Sale (chain store)
M-Market
Alepa
Kaffebrenneriet
Bunnpris
Some of them dont have any sources others have few or just only official companys website Radom1967 (talk) 11:25, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
I don't know; I guess because nobody has got around to doing anything about them, and they are probably so old that they don't show up on the new page patrol list. But just because they exist, doesn't mean we should create more such problems. (There are inevitably articles out there that have no sources whatsoever, but that doesn't make it okay to publish articles without any sources.) New articles must meet our current standards for notability, which in the case of companies is laid out in WP:ORGCRIT. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:53, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Pause the WP:MASSCREATION of Lithuanian eldership articles

Make some improvements to the articles you've already created as a proof of concept that these articles can be developed further. I believe that Lithuanian elderships pass WP:GEOLAND, each can contain a list of settlements, and they have a valid role in in the scheme of Lithuanian geographic articles. I do not think that these articles should be draftified (seems like a waste of time), and that it is better to keep them as stubs in mainspace and sort out any sitelink issues and naming uncertainties, such as seen here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lithuania#X apylinkių Eldership, but you should not continue the mass creation at this pace either. Pinging Prodraxis. Sincerely —Alalch E. 01:14, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

Radom1967, I was originally going to send this message on your t/p as well, but I had to be offline for a while. I second Alalch E. here. Please, stop the mass creation of stubs. This doesn't just apply to Lithuanian elderships but also to the other articles you have created - your articles have been draftified multiple times in the past due to sourcing issues and general need for more development. When you create articles, please try to make them at least one to two paragraphs or so in prose and include inline sources and not just one line explaining what the subject is but instead try to add more comprehensive information about the subject at all times. File:Paysera LT, UAB.png

Hi Radom1967. You originally uploaded File:Paysera LT, UAB.png as non-free content, but then subsequently changed the file's licensing to {{PD-textlogo}}. In order for something to be "PD-textlogo" it needs to be too simple to be eligible for copyright protection under the copyright laws of the United States and of its country of first publication, which in this case seems to be Lithuania. There is no information about Lithuania's threshold of originality given at c:Commons:Threshold of originality/Europe#Lithuania. What makes you think this logo is too simple to be eligible for copyright protection under Lithuanian copyright law? Are you just assuming it is based on the threshold of originality of the United States? There is no uniform international threshold of originality that applies to all countries; in fact, this threashold can and ofter does vary quite a bit from one country to another. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:43, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Copyright laws can be confusing and its easy, for even experienced users, to make mistakes. Mistakes are OK, but perhaps it's better to ask for help at WP:MCQ when you're not sure how something should be licensed. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:17, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

MOS:INFOBOXFLAG

Hiya. You're not a new user and so am slow to template/patronise on policy norms, but (per MOS:INFOBOXFLAG) flag icons should generally not be included in infoboxes. As distracting and affording undue prominence to one (or many) fields. Cheers. Guliolopez (talk) 14:06, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
