anti-tamil pogroms had clear state support
Please read the references, and the sources before removing them from the attacks page. For example, the 1981 anti tamil pogrom:

It is not correct to say that these pogroms did not have state support. Pogroms by their very definition are organised. Tarzie Vittachi has many example of state institutions supporting Sinhalese mobs to attack Tamils.Oz346 (talk) 19:55, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- I have spent the best part of a decade building a properly sourced encyclopedic article in List of attacks on civilians attributed to Sri Lankan government forces and protecting it from Sinhalese extremists who want to hide the depraved acts carried out in the name of their race.
- The article was always intended to be a list of individual incidents carried out by the Sri Lankan forces and their proxies. It was never intended to be a "catch all" of every bad thing done by the Sinhalese against Tamils. The article has existed for more than 11 years and has never included the race riots until now. The individual incidents were planned and executed in cold blood by the Sri Lankan forces and their proxies. The race riots on the other hand were mob violence in which Sri Lankan forces may have joined in later.
- By adding the race riots to the article you have made it a joke. No one will take it seriously. All you've done is desecrated the memories of those killed in the individual incidents. I trust you're happy.--Obi2canibe (talk) 12:55, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Ok I think we are having a misunderstanding on the word 'government forces'. I take government forces, as any organised armed group supported directly by the state apparatus. This includes the armed mobs led by UNP ministers such as Cyril Mathew and his union JSS for example. There is lots of evidence in the literature pointing directly to the pogroms in the 70s and 80s being directly orchestrated by the UNP. I do not take the word 'government forces' as just meaning the formal armed forces which includes the 'Sri Lankan armed forces, armed police force/paramilitaries/home guards' etc.
There is a need for every organised mass killings directly instigated by the state (and its apparatus) to be documented on a single page. What are your thoughts on this. If you think there is some ambiguity, we can edit the descriptors?Oz346 (talk) 15:22, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

New Page Patrol December Newsletter
Hello Obi2canibe,
- Year in review
It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

reversion of List of attacks on civilians attributed to Sri Lankan government forces
I deleted the attacks that lacked credible sources. the listings which claims credibility "Department of State 2009" doesn't actually verify these claims. and many of the it's findings are repeated with different names on the list. for example the document states;
"Embassy Colombo reported that 58 people were killed and 143 injured due to shelling in Ampalavakanai and Mullaivakal. This may be the same incident reported by a source in Mattalan reported to HRW shelling in the NFZ and heavy fighting in the north"-

The person Nikitha Grero is highly notable in Sri Lankan Private School system as he is currently the Chief Advisory Officer of Sri Lanka's most popular and notable international schools, Lyceum. Empty categories
Hello, Obi2canibe,
A lot of categories you created in 2017 became empty today (see Wikipedia:Database reports/Empty categories for tonight's list). This is unusual so I thought I'd ask if you were aware of anything causing the contents of these categories to empty overnight? Categories typically empty when there is category reorganization or when an article has been deleted and the category was only holding a single article. I'll be tagging these CSD C1 tomorrow and then they will sit for a week in Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion so there will be some time to figure out what has happened here. Thank you. Hi, Obi2canibe, Sorry I have been to slow after I created a new heading for Bibliography that I didn't fill immediately. I have just done it now. A section Bibliography and a few titles related to the subject. Hope this will add information/interest t this article.
