Kristen McGuire Deletion

I made a page for Kristen McGuire because other than voice acting, she is also a published author. She also does script writing and according to her twitter, assistant directing for funimation. The page has been marked for deletion because it says she is not notable enough, but I've seen other voice acting pages where actors have done less but still have their pages. It also says there are not enough sources, but when I made the page I pulled sources from different credible websites, including funimation's website. What can I do to make the page legitimate enough so it won't violate the rules? This was my first time making a wikipedia page so I'm sure I made some mistakes, and would love some help knowing what to do. I noticed you said the sources were inconsistent, but I modeled it after Justin Briner's page, and his page has the same sources. He also has the same amount of credits, and his page is not marked for deletion, so I'm just a little confused about the standards and what passes and what doesn't. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

WikiDan61's suggestion of DeepPink (which is #ff1493) yields a contrast ratio of 3.64 which is somewhat better, but still a long way short: you're aiming for 4.50 as a minimum. To keep the white text, you need to get that magic 4.5 ratio by decreasing the value from 100% (darkening it), but if you want to keep the same saturation, you'd have to take the value all the way down to 57.25% giving #926D72 which is kinda muddy - KGirlTrucker81 - although it does give 4.51 and WCAG 2 AA Compliance. To avoid it being that dark, you can crank the saturation all the way from 24.71% up to 100% and then bring down the value from 100% to something like 93.33% giving #ee0020 more of a bright red - KGirlTrucker81 - again it does give 4.51 and WCAG 2 AA Compliance. If you're set on that pink background, you need to go for a dark text colour. The lightest grey that gives AA Compliance is #595959 giving KGirlTrucker81 for a contrast ratio of 4.55. My own signature uses a pink background (specifically #ffeeee) and by using a dark text colour (#a80000) I get a contrast ratio of 7.02 which is not just WCAG 2 AA Compliant, it's WCAG 2 AAA Compliant as well. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 14:56, 25 April 2017 (UTC) Well, I'm not changing my signature as well disregarding it. It shows a colour contrast value of 6.12, which whilst not being AAA compliant (that would be 7.0 or higher), is not far off AAA and is significantly better than the 4.5 threshold that is necessary for AA compliance. My BLP has been declined as it didn't passed notability. I am a newbie and not sure how to work through this? The BLP is about Arunava who has worked closely for the Indian Football and promoted Football in India. His work is referred in an article in wikipedia: India national football team and has often written about football for third party sources. Over the past years, Arunava has been interviewed by several sports outlets, most notably Goal.com, Sportskeeda, Outside Of The Boot, and iSportsconnect. I'm sorry, but I have to insist on this point. If you look at Welsh surnames (end of the History section) you will see that the double surname is attested in Welsh society since the 19th century. 'Windsor' is not this man's middle name, it is the first part of his surname. To deny him the use of this is to deny him his cultural heritage as a Welshman. re: page for Jake Carpenter

I tried to create an article for actor Jake Carpenter, an established actor and producer in the U.S.

The submission was denied, and it seemed to ask for external references. I thought I had done that by including his imdb page and other pages that featured him or his projects as an actor. He is also a producer and is currently producing a documentary with John Goodman and Elijah Wood (actors). I did not include that, although it is on his imdb.

Anyway, I know that you are busy and dealing with some family issues. What should I do? I know he is notable, but just would like to give you what you would need to approve and support him. Hey KGirlTrucker81, I submitted an article for the rapper Ski Mask the Slump God who has been getting popular as of late within the mainstream alongside other rappers in his collective like XXXTentacion. I'm wondering why you declined my article. You state that the references don't show the articles notability and told me to refer to guidelines for notability for music related topics. and in it I found how my references did fulfill the guidelines.

I've shown in the references that Ski Mask the Slump God "has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city", he has become one of the most prominent representives of the current underground rap style that has emerged into mainstream normally called "soundcloud rap" which is a real style that you can find articles on and he was initally a prominent artist in South Florida. I've shown this with this article I've referenced frequently in the article.

That makes no sense, "unreliable sources" I want you to define this because XXLMag and HipHopDX (the main two I used as XXL is a very big hip hop publication, probably the largest in the world and is very trusted when it comes to hip hop news, HipHopDX is the same when it comes to the latter) are very reliable sources and are very reputable. I can find more sources from other publications on what I've already provided but its mainly going to be from hip hop publications. I'm sorry to be rude but itunes is a reliable source, (Its also ironic cause 85% of the itunes references on that page are copied from another page that has already been reviewed and approved)thats why on literally every page for music artists and their discography, itunes is used as a reference. You can clearly see from the link I provided that the commercial project YouWillRegret by Ski Mask the Slump God was uploaded by his label. iTunes also has tags which differentiate from if something is user generated or not.

I'm just gonna be honest and tell you I read that when I was looking up reliable sources. You have not given me a clear answer at all, why is itunes reliable for other people and not for me? You clearly don't know how iTunes works with its tag system nor its Apple Music system. The reason why iTunes is reliable is because the Apple Music system only releases music that is verified as being official singles and Apple Music includes tracklisting, contributors, writers, producers, etc. I've already cleared up that XXLMag is reliable when it comes to Hip Hop news. I feel like right now my article is fine and its just being held back by you not wanting to lose this debate. I've fixed some of the issues, added more reputable sources from places like NYT and Rollingstone and also alternative links to credits for the projects. (Though they aren't as good as iTunes as they are actually put up by the label on iTunes) I'm going to submit this article again and hopefully it'll be approved this time. I don't want to start getting silly and start linking large articles like Kanye West's discography and Drake's to prove to you that iTunes is such a non issue here with reliability. Login problems

Hi KGirlTrucker81, this is Aldiboronti although I can't log in. You were kind enough to offer help when I was attempting to write a new article on an 18th century opera. I gave up in the end! I just wondered if you could help me with the baffling problem I have at the moment. I attempted to log back in to Wikipedia today only to be informed that User Aldiboronti does not exist. And yet I can find my homepage here with ease, see link below.

My first thought was that I had misspelled the name but copying and pasting it from my homepage still gives the error. One odd thing, I don't know if it's relevant, the login page had a tickbox to stay logged in for 365 days. I've never seen that before. I'm at my wit's end. If it tells me my account does not exist then maybe I should create a new one with the same username and email, I'm just worried I'll lose all my history (I've checked several of the edits I've made over the years, they're all still there, all with my name aldiboronti. It won't be a tragedy if I can't get into my account again, I'm not a real Wikipedia pro, I just enjoy editing the occasional error in an article. One thought, could it be anything to do with location change? Since I got a new laptop with Windows 10 Google has my location wrong by about 30 miles, putting me in Stevenage, England rather than Portsmouth, England. I've notified them of that but I don't know how long they'll take to rectify it.

Oh well, these things are sent to try us. I posted on the Help Desk but not having much luck with replies. So I remembered how helpful you'd been before and thought I'd post here. No good deed goes unpunished! :)

Thank you for replying, and in a perfect world I'm sure your solution would work. But this is trickier. I can't reset my password because Wikipedia tells me they have no such email registered. Just for fun I tried creating a new account using my old username and the email they say doesn't exist. The error message? Email and username already in use. See how devilishly complicated this is? But don't worry, KGirlTrucker81, I've had some answers at last on Help Desk. There are apparently some open tickets on this over at OTRS, no solution in sight but the developers have been informed. Trust me to have such an intractable problem. Thank you again for replying.
