Hello and welcome to my User Talk page.

I have joined Wikipedia in 2009 and have since made in excess of 300 edits on assorted topics. I genuinely think that Wikipedia is the single best invention in information technology since Johannes Gutenberg's printing press.

Why NeonPuffin ? Simply because Puffin is my favourite bird (you just have to love its crazy clown-like colouring, haven't you) but the user name Puffin and any other obvious adjectives (such as CrazyPuffin, etc...) were already taken!

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. RE: A UK police power isn't exactly relevant, nor is the idea of private property

Aye, it might be similar, but the link isn't appropriate in context—its too specific, any links should be to a general idea rather than a particular country's police power. As much as the media and human rights groups want us to believe this country is a police state, it hasn't quite reached Combine levels yet. The game doesn't exactly give much credit to the idea that private property even exists in this dystopian future, but as its not made explicit its best not to touch on the topic. Overall though, the sentence is just to convey to the reader that they're a bunch of Stasi-esque goits, rather than full elaboration on methods; quick phrases of only one of two words are generally better at that than going more specific with how they go about it or who they do it to. As for the link, I just piped it, a handy little feature for when better wording than the linked article can go in the prose. -- Sabre (talk) 22:18, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
