Hello Gmli82164, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Street children have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:59, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello Gmli82164, thank you for your efforts to improve referencing in Wikipedia articles. However, please do not add external links directly in the article's main body. External links are usually only used within references to verify existing content (see WP:REFB for a "how to" guide), or at the end of articles in "Further reading" and "External links" sections to point to additional literature and external information (and a few other occasional use cases such as "official" websites). You'll find more information about the usage of external links in Wikipedia at WP:EL. Please feel free to ask me if you have any further questions (WP:Teahouse is also a good forum for all Wikipedia-related questions). Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 23:22, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

You were asked nicely to review WP:EL nearly a month ago; please do so and stop adding external links to the body of articles. ElKevbo (talk) 02:10, 22 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copying licensed material requires attribution

edit

In the future, please add attribution when copying from public domain sources: simply add the template {{PD-notice}} after your citation. I have done so for Alexander disease. Please do this in the future so that our readers will be aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:38, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

You've been warned twice above not to add external links in the body of articles, but you've continued to do so at Marketing research process. Therefore, I've blocked you as an unresponsive editor. Blocked

edit
First, I want to thank you Graham87 for blocking me as it jolted me and finally caught my attention that there is something that needs fixing in the way I do things here on Wikipedia. I do not want to give my being a newbie as the reason as it is my responsibility to understand first the guidelines before doing anything on the pages. I think its because I didn't understand the significance of giving attention to what the other editors/administrators are saying that led to my being blocked. To this I plead guilty. But again, thank you. I have learned my lesson and will be very careful next time, the same way, that I will be more attentive whenever an editor/administrator calls my attention. Can you please remove the block so that I can continue? Gmli82164 (talk) 02:18, 4 July 2018 (UTC) Gmli82164 10:16 PHT (UTC +8), 4 July 2018Reply

Please help me with...responding to a Wikipedia editor. His username is Graham87 and I would very much like to respond to the concerns he has raised. If I have been unresponsive its because I still do not know how to use Talk page. I am not even sure if this message gets through.

You can find information on how to use talk pages at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Talk_pages. As long as you press the "Publish changes" button, your messages should get through.
Additionally, information on how to appeal a block is available at Wikipedia:Appealing a block though you might not need it at this time as it seems the blocking admin is willing to unblock you himself once you acknowledge your mistakes and commit to not repeating them. 78.28.45.127 (talk) 17:12, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Indeed. It's late here so I'm not in the best frame of mind for responding, but ... your message got through here. It's not just that you weren't responsive, it's that you didn't seem to take into account any of the messages on this page and just kept up your pattern of editing, despite others telling you not to do so. Unspecified source/license for File:Ligiron.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ligiron.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 03:47, 6 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Freelancing in India - "copyediting", clear edit summaries

edit

Hello Gmli82164, thank you for your efforts to improve this article (and other topics). But when removing whole sections of sourced content, please provide a bit more meaningful explanation than "copyediting" and try to salvage OK-ish content whereever possible even if it may not be written optimally. "Copyediting" is the gradual improvement of current content via changes in language, phrasing, style and the correction of grammatical problems and syntax, not a complete removal or massive structural changes of content - even when done in good faith. Don't get me wrong, large parts of this article need a major rewrite, but such significant edits should be accompanied by a clear and meaningful rationale in the edit summary (or on the article's talkpage for even greater changes). Also, if you don't mind another quick tip, it would be better to split major changes in multiple smaller edits (for example section-wise). This way eventual reverts won't affect and undo your whole good-faith efforts. Hope these tips are helpful - I have reverted your latest removal of sourced content based on these concerns. But nevertheless improvements in such topics are appreciated of course. GermanJoe (talk) 20:54, 28 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gmli82164,
At 12:08, 2 December 2018 (UTC), at my talk page, you asked:
"Hi! When you say, you "have added projects" to my article, what does that mean? You see, this is the first time that I have that kind of response from a reviewer. Kindly elaborate. Thank you."
  • I've added these project tags to the article talk page.
  • This allows members of these projects -- who know these topics well -- to see your article in their queue and offer their help. See Wikipedia:WikiProject.
  • You may receive feedback from the members of these WikiProject, or they may edit the page.
  • You may also at any time visit the project page and ask them for help.
  • This does not affect the review status of your article, and unless you want to, no further action is required from you.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:QuickHR (cloud-based HR solution)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:QuickHR (cloud-based HR solution), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
