Thanks for your consideration. I have reverted the deletion tag, because the article in question is actually a list (more precisely, a chronology of events) and as such, falls under Purposes of lists (information) and can be kept per "Lists that fulfill recognized informational, navigation, or development purposes often are kept regardless of any demonstrated notability". As an option, I was considering to include the list into the updated article on the subject, which is incubating in my sandbox, as a collapsible table. I really cannot see evidence that it meets WP:NOTESAL (the other link in your edit summary doesn't seem to apply. I'm not even at all clear why his work record should be anywhere - he is best known as a religious figure. By the way, your sandbox version mentions 'global' twice - that will need excellent sources, possibly attribution. I'm not challenging it, just saying that sort of statement always requires sources. Dougweller, may I mention that reliable sources that are overlooked in the current article do give much greater significance to Thakur's career in his emerging as a religious figure than one would expect. Going by the reliable sources would require giving due weight to his work record as well, and this is what the list sought to do. And yes, the "global" statements are referenced and attributed now – I thought to do the attribution in the actual body and keep the lede ref-free, but agree that these statements are best referenced right where they're made. I don't doubt your statement that his career was important, but the detailed work record is not the same as his career, and I do doubt that those sources are referring to that sort of detail when they discuss his career. The issue is what sources actually cite that level of detail. On a side issue, although it has general sources there are no page numbers for the individual entries. I presume you compiled the list from various pages in each of the two sources so that would require page numbers. If the list exists as an entity in either source it's copyvio. Thanks for the clarification, Dougweller. The sources do refer to Bhaktivinoda's career in even greater detail – most of them are PhD theses based on his autobiography with a couple of them published as books, so I thought justified in inserting a summary of his career as a table. And yes, thanks for the heads-up as to the possible copyvio issue. I did copy the list from those two sources, but they in turn had copied it from the History of Services of Officers Holding Gazetted Appointments under the Government of Bengal (corrected to 1 July 1894), which places the list in the public domain under the non-creative works category as a simple statement of facts not passing the originality threshold – or so it seems. Ucucha/HarvErrors

Cinosaur, I saw and corrected some minor SFN formatting errors on Bhaktivinoda Thakur. They showed up as big red error messages to me because I have User:Ucucha/HarvErrors added to my .js page. I recommend that tool highly. One error showed up I can't correct, but you can. The Sardella-Sain ref book has no SFN pointing to it. What I can see because of Ucucha script is a big red note next to it saying "Harv error: There is no link pointing to this citation. The anchor is named CITEREFSardellaSain2013." File:Yogapith, Mayapur.jpg usage

While the image is used appropriately in Chaitanya, Bhaktivinoda Thakur, Nabadwip and Mayapur (I am confused if the temple is in Mayapur or Nabadwip; they seem to be two close by villages/places); but in all other articles, it needs to be replaced by Chaitanya's image; which is more relevant. I would have done that, but this is FP, I suggest you do it and then update "Articles in which this image appears" --Redtigerxyz ^Talk 10:19, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Redtigerxyz, thank you for the heads-up about Nadadwip vs. Mayapur consideration. You're right that there is no Nabadwip district. The actual district for Mayapur (and Nabadwip) is Nadia district, Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision. I thought that Mayapur was under Nabadwip municipality, and apparently it is not, being on the opposite side of the river. However, Mayapur is counted under the Nabadwip block of Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision and is serviced by the Nabadwip police, and as such, legally is still under Nabadwip – or so it seems. What do you think?

I checked some references, most use Navadwip, not Mayapur; so I suggest we retain Mayapur near Nabadwip, if Mayapur bank is bbelieved to be the birth place. Historically, the place may be known as a part of Navadwipa perhaps. --Redtigerxyz ^Talk 12:48, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

If the temple is on the Mayapur side; keep image on both articles; as references say Navadwip; Mayapur may be a modern name of the place. Your other point about Gaura-purnima is will taken, and I will replace the image in question with that of Chaitanya there. As for Gaudiya Vaishnavism, I am not so sure – it seems to me that the inclusion of the Yogapith image there is completely justified, being the historic birthplace of its founder. As for Gaudiya Math, it's borderline - the actual place of the first Gaudiya Math, the Caitanya Sarasvat Math, is some short distance away, but Yogapith is in their custody. The main img of Gaudiya Vaishnavism should be Krishna or Chaitnya; the most venerated figures of the sect. The Yogapith img can be moved down in an appropriate section where temples of the sect are discussed. Great Resourse

I'm reading a new text put out by Oxford, "Modern Hindu Personalism: The History, Life, and thought of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati." It's of high quality, and really allows a lot of access to the subject. For me, aside from a great read, it helps me in a similiar way to how Shukavak Dasa's "Hindu Encounter With Modernity" greatly helped my understanding of the historical context of Bhaktivinode as well as his theological contributions. The issue started in Ukraine spreads over the themes of economic corruption and cultural intolerance beyond the borders of a single country. Shanghainese.ua, one problem with Do not buy Russian goods!, in whichever section, is that it refers to a trend that started in 2013, whereas calls for banning Russians goods in India over the Bhagavad Gita trial in Russia happened much earlier, in 2011. Therefore linking the latter to the former is misleading as implying that the latter is in some way influenced or caused by the latter, which is clearly not the fact. If you want to draw a parallel between the two, a more germane way to do that would be to create a separate general article or list History of boycotting Russian goods or something similar and link both articles to that, preferably under the {{Also}} hatnote. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
