Repost of Metallica 2011 Tour

edit

A tag has been placed on Metallica 2011 Tour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Metallica 2011 Summer Vacation Tour requesting that it be protected against recreation. This has been done because the article appears to be a recreation, under a different title, of an article which is itself currently protected against recreation. Please note that titles used to circumvent the protection policy are often given the same level of protection as the original title the author is trying to circumvent.

If you feel that the topic of the article meets our inclusion guidelines, please request a deletion review or use a request for unprotection instead.

Please note that repeated recreation of an article against a consensus to delete it is considered disruptive and is grounds for blocking. O Fenian (talk) 08:12, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Iron Maiden - Transylvania.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:22, 23 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Incorrect addition to Julian Lennon

Incorrect change to Rand Paul

I removed your incorrect and unreferenced change to the Rand Paul biography, saying that Paul favors exceptions for rape and incest. This is exactly the opposite of what the cited sources say. edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. MilesMoney (talk) 21:44, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Avengednightmario, the problem here is two-fold.

Firstly, this is a biography of a living person and as such we have to be extremely careful in how we represent them. I'm sure that you would not like someone to write something that might be wrong or misrepresente you on the internet, and you can assume that the same applies to others. Obviously, there are potential legal issues with such things also.

Secondly, there is the issue of consensus, which is a guiding policy here on Wikipedia. You need to have agreement for any changes made to an article and sometimes it is necessary to talk it through in order to get that. Sometimes you'll find that you cannot get what you want even when you do talk, but repeatedly changing things to suit what you think is correct without actually finding out what others think is never going to work. It usually ends in edit wars and sometimes in administrative actions such as blocks. You are completely stuck if you are blocked, and surely that is worse than at least having some sort of voice here?

I am assuming that you know of our policies regarding verifiability, reliable sources and neutrality. If not, then please read those three links and then, if you still believe that you have a point, discuss the matter at Talk:Rand Paul. That article is apparently quite contentious so please, please ensure that you talk only about the content and not about those who are editing the thing. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions about procedure etc at my talk page. - Sitush (talk) 23:18, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
