Hi! I see that you are fairly new here, and perhaps still finding your feet. I absolutely don't want to discourage you from participating in the project, but I do want to make quite clear that we can't allow text that belongs to other people to be added to the encyclopaedia. The Dictionary of Scottish Artists page on Davidson carries a clear copyright notice ("© 2014, Dictionary of Scottish Architects"); the content on that page can not be copied without the permission of the copyright owner. Any text you write here must be (99.9% of the time) in your own words. It isn't enough to rearrange someone else's words a bit; what we call "close paraphrasing" is also unacceptable. Can I suggest that you follow some of the blue links in the template above to learn a bit more about how this works here? You are welcome to make additions to the Davidson page, as long as they are in your own words (you can add the same meaning, but it must be expressed in a different way from the source text). Red Turban Rebellion (1854–1856)

Hi! Thank you so much for adding to Red Turban Rebellion (1854–1856), a stub I created in the hope that someone with better knowledge of the topic (not a high bar, I can assure you!) would do exactly that. To my dismay and chagrin, I've had to remove your additions because they constitute close paraphrasing of the source. Just as an example, if the source says "The trouble had begun with the Taiping incursions across the border from Guangxi", and you write "The disorder began with the various Taiping excursions across the border from Guangxi", it appears that you have copied that text, even if one or two words have been changed.

As a result, through something that is entirely my own fault, I did not flesh out parts such as the one you highlighted as I used only one source. So it's inevitable that close paraphrasing would occur. I did not follow the subsequent edit warring, but hopefully I'll get around to writing up something decent on the topic. I'll sandbox it first. On the referencing, for the same reason that I only applied minimal attention to the article, I did not read through the academic article that you referenced. Partly because page numbers did not appear to have been used in the reference, which is fine, but for the sake keeping up quality in the referencing, I find it preferable that page numbers are included where possible so that people know exactly where to look to verify something. Gambian Constituencies

You linked here Kiang West. I think, we must for long term (!) separate between Constituencies and Districts. These aren’t covering, for example Illiassa is a Constituency and not district. And something else: the gambian subnatuional entities are now after 10 years "regions" and not "divisions". Nobody has these changed in the engl.
