Conflict of Interest edit

  Hello, 138.162.8.58. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Note: Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines, especially before editing any articles related to the US gov't or military. Thank you- wolf 22:39, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. This concern is expressed because your IP address is registered to Navy Network Information Center, Jacksonville Florida, and as an agency of the United States Military, may have interest or involvement in the case concerning Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.   Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. --GnoworTC 19:34, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Quarterback U, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.
  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. I did not accept your proposed edit to Chernobyl disaster for a couple of reasons. First, you did not provide a link or other information about a reliable third party source that supports the claim. Secondly, Wikipedia articles are not just random collections of information and without some context (also supported by sources) there doesnt seem to be any value to the reader in adding the content to the article. Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kumioko, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

ANI Discussion about me edit

@Djsasso:, @AGK: And of course now I am blocked by an Arb with the excuse that I am socking so that I cannot comment in the discussion about me. That will ensure I cannot defend myself. And I already told you AGK that this is a proxy IP used by thousands of people in the navy. I did not create that username or several others that you blocked accusing them of being me. The checkuser program is garbage and always has been. 138.162.8.58 (talk) 18:26, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

@AGK: BTW, as proof that the Checkuser tool is a complete piece of shit and does more collateral damage than it helps. PaladinNJ (talk · contribs) was blocked by AGK and accused of being me. That account was create way back in August of 2011 and has only edited a few times in the span of 3 years. None of the articles even match my editing pattern which was mostly Military history stuff. Any idiot that did the slightest due diligence can see it isn't me. But since I am a completel troll these days, let me offer this. Why don't you use the checkuser tool and go back the maximum time it will hold on the 138 series of IP's and block them all accuseing them of being me. Of course your going to block dozens to hundreds of editors but who cares about that here. I mean hell, if I am going to be accused of socking, just to discredit me why not go ahead and do it. In fact I will just fess up, every new account created in the last 2 years was me, working from various IP's around the world. Just go ahead and block them all now and get it overwith. 138.162.8.58 (talk) 18:41, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@AGK: and now I'll get the silent treatment just because you have all the power and I am completely helpless to do anything on this site. 138.162.8.58 (talk) 18:42, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@AGK: So I'm guessing by your silence at this point you are refusing to accept you made a mistake in blocking those other accounts and accusing them of being me. Its pretty obvious that a couple aren't me (although I could see the argument about the ones that didn't edit). I would complain about the problem but there is no one who cares about innocent editors getting blocked. Your in Arbcom so no one is going to do anything even if it was proved to be incorrect. Its just another example of admins on this site doing stuff half assed without bothering to actually look into the history. 138.162.8.59 (talk) 20:44, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
AGK — Beeblebrox — Carcharoth — Floquenbeam — Newyorkbrad — Salvio giuliano:. Since this error in judgement relates to an Arbcom member and the checkuser tool, I'll ping some of the Arbcom members and see if they will review this case. If you want to block me, that's fine, but when you block innocent editors and accuse them of being me, that is a major problem. I have already identified which accounts were mine and why I created them. 138.162.8.57 (talk) 20:49, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Checkuser actions are reviewed by the audit subcommittee, not the full committee, and will not be discussed on-wiki. You may contact them by email. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:21, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Beeblebrox: Thanks, but given my standing on the project, the fact that AGK is an Arb and at least half the Audit submcommitte has commented that I be thrown out of the project, I think we both know it would be a complete waste of my time. But I wanted it to be on record that I have a major problem with the collateral damage being caused by the checkuser tool. I know its garbage and I think most people who have ever seen it in action know (or should know). I know for a fact AGK blocked at least half a dozen accounts and accused them of being me. I can't help but wonder how many other innocent accounts were blocked and accused of being another editor. I bet its in the hundreds. 138.162.8.58 (talk) 21:34, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Kumioko, I was about to ask you a few questions, since it doesn't look like this IP is blocked, and I don't understand why you can't edit ANI, but .... no.
I honestly think it's time to move on to something else. You know it too, I know you do. As I've said before, elsewhere, we owe you gratitude for years of contributions, and I'm sorry to see the long slide from disheartened to disgruntled to disruptive never got reversed. I still have some hope that after a long break, it might someday still be reversed. But this is just no good for anyone, not productive for anyone, not going to help or educate or clarify or protect or defend anything. You're not being an underdog speaking truth to power, you're just not letting go even though you know in your heart, and have in fact said several times, that you know it's time to leave and participate in something else. I don't know, Simple, Commons, Wikidata, Wikia, ... get a new perspective. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:34, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Floquenbeam: Your right and I have. I have done more than 20, 000 edits a month since August over at Wikia. Edits that could have been done here. They want and need the help and I am happy to do that because this site doesn't. I also tried editing some of the other Media wiki sites but I found some of the same admins who have a strangle hold here are also there. So I had to go to Wikia to continue to edit. I honestly don't think anyone on this site even cares how toxic the environment has become or has any desire to fix it. I have completely lost all respect for the project because they continue to refuse to do anything about the abusive editors and admins they know and have admitted are here. Arbcom doesn't care and they are the only ones with the power to do anything. And we both know Wiki never forgets; if I waited 1000 years and came back, I would still be treated like a dirtbag but that's because all editors are treated like dirtbags until they get the tools and the title of admin they are just expendible and that is not how this project or any project should work. 138.162.8.58 (talk) 21:40, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Naval Supply Systems Command, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you.
