The European Football Ranking is a ranking of European football teams based on their results in the last five years. All teams that have played in the UEFA Champions League since the 2011–12 season are included, and all results from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League (excluding Europa Conference League qualifying and play-off rounds) as well as the national league and the national cup are counted.

  1. ^ Country ranks based on countries' UEFA coefficient.
  2. ^ This includes countries that have been completely suspended from UEFA competitions, such as Russia starting in the 2022–23 season.

The points gained in a certain competition are multiplied with the corresponding competition factor; then, all competition results are added to give the total score. In cup matches, decisions through penalty shoot-outs are counted, i.e. the winning team in a shoot-out gets three points, while the losing team gets none; however, in cups with a home-and-away match format, e.g. UEFA competitions, they are not counted as they do not decide who wins the match, but rather who advances to the next round. Teams are included in the ranking as soon as they have qualified for the Champions League group stage, and are eliminated when their total point score reaches zero.

Teams are sorted alphabetically in case of tie, teams by city name. Yellow stars ( ) represent Champions League/Champion Clubs' Cup titles, while grey stars ( ) represent Europa League/UEFA Cup titles and silver medals ( ) represent Cup Winners' Cups. (C) and (E) signify the current Champions League and Europa League title holders, respectively.
