Rewrite
editI rewrote the article from scratch, as previously it had contained original research, a disproportionate slant towards his anime films and had been unreferenced for the last three years or so. Doctor Sunshine talk 02:43, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Kamikaze?
editI'm watching the movie Tora! Tora! Tora! and have the "Commentary", partly done by Japanese Film Historian, Stewart Galbraith, turned on. He states, at 1: 12:36, "He trained as a Kamikaze Pilot during WW2, but expelled due to his, quote, "Anti-Militaristic attitude"". I'm a rookie so I'm chary of making official edits. I'm thinking this should be mentioned, tho', but with some sort of disclaimer. He hasn't the credentials of a Kurosawa but,he must be known to film aficionados. lol.... They would find this, or any part of this, certainly more interesting than "technical training school", if true. (Duane44 (talk) 16:56, 14 November 2010 (UTC))
