Article assessment edit

I have just reassessed the quality of this article as "Start" class. This was after I observed that an unregistered editor had changed the assessment to "C" class, without explanation. If one compares this article to that for Mohammed Shami, which the editor had previously edited on the same day, for example, one should be able to see the difference between a "Start" class and a "C" class article. Before this article can be considered "C" class, I think we need to something more about this person beyond his Cricket statistics. After all, Wikipedia articles are not just collections of Cricket statistics but should be biographies about the whole person. While this article might meet the need of the dedicated IPL cricket fan, for most readers the statistics are meaningless, as they might want to know who his parents are. Where was he born? (we only know when) And educated? How did he learn Cricket? Is he married and does he have children? What does he do when he doesn't play cricket? Does he have any other skills or training? Does he contribute to society in other ways? As it stands, this article is merely a start of what it could be, which is why it is only rated as a "Start" class article. Once this article deals with the rest of this person's life, perhaps it can be reassessed. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:20, 25 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
