Table bloat edit

Can somebody provide reasons why (i) Billboard charts are not part of the "World", and (ii) it is necessary to have table columns whose every cell is identical?

The only apparently rational reasons I have ever read for (i) separating charts in this way (and requiring a bizarre section head) and (ii) bloating them up with superfluous columns have been that (a) to do otherwise would be confusing (but I have never read any persuasive explanation of how it could be confusing), and (b) it's all in the pursuit of consistency. All other things being equal, consistency is of course a virtue; but this surely is consistency in the wrong direction, as the year and song-title columns usually contain identical cells.

My most recent attempt at a rational dialogue about this is at Talk:One Sweet Day; Winnermario seems peculiarly reluctant to explain, perhaps in the belief that any such effort would be wasted on an intelligence as limited as mine. -- Hoary 02:07, 22 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

The overweight girl edit

I really don't think the overweight girl is a reoccuring character. You can call it a reoccuring motif if you will (in relation to Shake It Off), but there's no way you can keep that girl from Fantasy as a little girl forever.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.23.202.252 (talk) 05:08, 22 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also I really do not see a connection between this video's overweight girl and the overweight girl seen in "Shake It Off"--the overweight girl in "Shake It Off" is performing her dance with two other girls that are hard to see before the scene cuts to the fake Mariah Carey billboard. The overweight girl in "Fantasy" is by herself.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.23.202.252 (talk) 05:19, 22 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Fantasy mvc.jpg edit

Image:Fantasy mvc.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 07:03, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The overweight girl 2 edit

Try as I might I cannot find any source on who this is. Also I cannot find any source linking her to that other video (shake it off). CapnZapp (talk) 21:41, 5 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Fantasy (Mariah Carey song)Fantasy (song)Fantasy (Mariah Carey song) has received more than double the pageviews of all other "Fantasy" songs since 2015. It's also the leading outgoing link from Fantasy (disambiguation). It has long-term significance in its remix contributing to popularizing rap features on pop songs. • Oppose as WP:INCOMPLETEDAB. Partial disambiguation is very rare on Wikipedia, and this is not a case that would justify it. And what would be accomplished by using an ambiguous title, really? — BarrelProof (talk) 04:10, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
