How old were they?

edit

The article makes a point of them being the youngest girl group to top the charts, but neglects to give their ages at the time (or at any time, for that matter). Clearly, if it was remarkable enough to mention this, their ages should be mentioned as well. Pimlottc 09:11, 21 March 2006

Did you check the articles on each of the members of the group? Marmaladekitty 19:56, 2 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
What does "youngest girl group" mean anyway? ISTM it could be defined in terms of
  • age of the youngest member
  • age of the oldest member
  • mean of their ages
  • sum of their ages
  • how recently the group was formed
  • ....

Discography Overhall

edit

I completely revamped the lacking Discography. Hope it looks okay. I borrowed the theme from S Club's discography. Hope that's okay. =] Mikay 12:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disputes over their DsOB

edit

The official B*Witched website in its day gave their dates of birth as:

I knew about Sinead actually being five years older. But apparently it's since come out that none of those dates are right. IMDb now states that Lindsay was born 18 December 1978. Lindsay's website states that she was born in 1977, but doesn't (as far as I've found) comment on the date of the year. And IMDb still gives 1979 for both Edele and Keavy - but their articles here have been changed to state that they were born 15 December 1978, and no reference has been given. Can anybody supply one? -- Smjg 22:45, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to know why Wikipedia has Keavy's birth year listed as 1978 and Adele's birth year listed as 1979. That makes absolutely no sense for identical twins. Which is the correct birth year? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.187.150.30 (talk) 21:16, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup needed

edit

This article is in serious need of a copy edit -- no references, lots of contradictions and repetitions, and lack of useful structure. Will try for a first pass this evening. Gusworld (talk) 06:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK, I've made a first pass at it -- eliminated the duplication and POV stuff, changed the structure to remove the biographies (which messed up the article structure), bought together the material about the reformed Lynch-only lineup, and had a stab at writing a more comprehensive and neutral lead. This was a good faith edit so I'm assuming the supplied facts are correct; the article still needs better references, especially for some of the solo activity. Confusing statements

edit

"B*Witched are the first band to have a number one in 26 separate countries apart from the Spice Girls who got to number one with Wannabe in 30 countries" - does this mean they were the first band but their record was later bettered by the Spice Girls? It's unclear, plus it could do with a reference. Jammycaketin (talk) 18:49, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

re-write

edit

This article needs to be completly re-written and the Ms Lynch and Barbarellas information needs to be moved into a new article. There is also no reference for the apparent confirmed 3rd album tracks. Where did this information come from? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.250.226 (talk) 06:04, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the links to each individual member's Twitter feeds - it's not a fan site. Smurfmeister (talk) 00:40, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

First girl group with debut single at Number One

edit

There was a Top of the Pops of girl groups on BBC Two on September 2 2023, which said that B*Witched for the first girl group to have their debut single reach Number One in the U.K. singles chart. If this information is accurate, it ought to be mentioned in the article. YTKJ (talk) 18:54, 3 September 2023 (UTC) This may have been an error on the programme. Wannabe by the Spice Girls got to Numnber One in 1996, but C'est La Vie reached Number One in 1998. YTKJ (talk) 20:46, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
