Ways to improve Prehistory of Newfoundland and Labrador

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Zircon 2, thanks for creating Prehistory of Newfoundland and Labrador!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This is an interesting-looking article, but you must support factual statements with inline references.It's not ok just to point to a book and say "thrre you are-go read it". At the very least you should add the relevant page numbers using the {{rp}} template. For such a detailed article I would hope to see four or five really good references to support this encyclooaedia entry.

Geology of places

I appreciate your efforts writing all those regional geology articles. I have written a few myself so I can tell how much reading you may have to do to write them. One issue effects the lead. When you use the title "Geology of ..." you are talking about the scientific discipline of the study of the Earth in that area. However in the lead you are often using "geology" in a jargon alternate meaning that just refers to the rocks themselves. So I thnk that if you are going to say "geology of Kentucky" ... you should make the meaning of "geology" the same through the article, ie " geology of Kentucky is the study of ... which first formed in the Proterozoic". Hello Zircon 2, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here. A few of your page creations have some issues with Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, though none of the articles I've at are so problematic to require that content be removed. If it's possible, you should try writing articles based on more than one source.

• You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
• Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
• Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
• If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license.
