Kirya Ne'emana

Hi, I know it's been a long time since you created the article, but maybe you can remember what it's about. I have a basic question: how is it distinct from Musrara? @Arminden: Hi again! Kirya Ne'emana was not part of Musrara at all. Are you familiar with the Bar Lev highway? As you drive toward the Old City, Musrara is on your right side and Kirya Ne'emana was on the left side. Some of the buildings at the eastern end of Rechov HaNeviim are said to be former buildings of Kirya Ne'emana. Kirya Ne'emana and other small housing projects built in proximity to Damascus Gate were evacuated during the 1929 Arab riots. Best, Yoninah (talk) 19:03, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

@Zatsugaku: All I use to research my articles is Google, Google Books, Jstor, and Newspapers.com. I guess you could try typing his name in Hebrew on Google and see what sources come up, though then you would have to translate them. Yoninah (talk) 20:28, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

It was a program that she produced as a mentoring project for teens. She supervised their work and though they did all the actual work of preparing the show so they could learn how to do it, but she was responsible for producing it. Yes, I know, its a pain in the back. Fulton History went down on September 25th and hasn't been back up since. I had several articles I was going to use from the New York Amsterdam News, but I couldn't access them after that date. Very frustrating. Either of those work and the source may just have to be AGF. Or perhaps "that while working to desegregate nursing in the US, Alma Vessells John, wrote a radio show that sparked a second career in radio and television?" Thank you! All good. We've been here 10 years and never had the government issue a warning to businesses and residents, so we figured it must be serious. As it played out, a lot of preparations and we got lucky. Here, no wind and only light rain. The Quintana Roo side got hit hard and I am sure there will be flooding in the pueblos between them and us, but other than one roof leak, we are safe and snug. DYK clarification, please

Hi Yoninah, I'm confused at this point about Template:Did you know nominations/2020 United States Supreme Court vacancy. I reviewed/ticked approved this DYK nom on Sept. 21 (which met my QPQ review requirement for the Titanic International Society DYK in upcoming Queue 3). Is my review now nullified and a new one needed? Or is evrik now the reviewer since he's ticked it approved? @JGHowes: no, you still get a QPQ for your review of 2020 United States Supreme Court vacancy, which was moved to Amy Coney Barrett Supreme Court nomination. But since feminist added a second article to the hook, that article needs a review too. Feminist suggested a new, double hook (ALT6 and ALT7) and evrik improved on it with ALT8. Feminist is okay with ALT8. We now need a review of the second article, White House COVID-19 outbreak. If you'd like to do that for another QPQ, it would be appreciated. Ottoman "High School for Political Science"?!

Hi Yoninah. Do you have any clue where this pre-1900 "High School for Political Science" could be? Is it still standing? One can see the Dome of the Rock, I guess the city wall (or the Haram's?), a small bell tower as part of the wall right left of the "high school". And hills which are - what? I can only tell they're not the Mount of Olives. Maybe the photo is flipped (left-right)? But that was typical for daguerreotypes, and this is a more modern type of photo. I tried, and it still doesn't help. I thought it's maybe in the area of St Anne's, but nothing fits. Mystery, and it bugs me. Thanks, Arminden (talk) 12:58, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Did you know that the Cleveland School fire took place the day the school was to permanently close?

I didn't want to bring this up on the DYK template out of fear of cluttering up the page. I added new information to the article. I was wondering if a hook that mentioned how the fire took place the day the school was scheduled to close permanently would suffice. I also found something in the May 23, 2010 edition of the Item. I hope the wording is clear enough for others to interpret the source the way I did. [1]. Just in case you don't have access to the site, it says One of the ironies of the evening centered on the news that the existing Cleveland School had been condemned and was scheduled to be closed for good after the graduation exercises. It also says that people were assembling for the commencement play. I understand that you are away for a couple of days, but I wanted to share the source for when you came back. I get that I don't write the kind of articles that are necessarily easy to find a hook in. I usually write about women whom I find interesting because they were active in social and political causes. @AviationFreak: image selection is up to the prep builder. With 8 hooks in each set, not every image will be used. I felt the bridge was rather distant and didn't stand out at thumbnail size. J.D. Tippit

Hello. Some of your edits about a month ago on J.D. Tippit's page appear to be problematic. Some info was added that appear to be Jim Garrison's take on certain witnesses and evidence without it being specifically attributed to him. As an example the statement is made: ...the gun found on Oswald at his arrest did not match the cartridges found at the scene.... That's very much someone's opinion because (both) the WC and the HSCA tied that gun and the cartridges to the shooting. Also, the point on "two different manufacturers" is fairly meaningless. Kennedy and brought evidence in his 1969 trial of businessman Clay Shaw, contended in his book... that whole section is attributed to footnote 47. Do you want a citation after every sentence? No but the section starts out with the attribution noted.....but then it goes on to present a lot of things as fact that are very much Garrison's opinion without it duly noted. My library has been feeding me some interesting stuff, underserved stories with decent documentation and cool Creative Commons pics. But thank you for taking an interest in this. I think it is in the article, led the biochemical department at Peking Union Medical College to prioritize studying nutrition, but it can obviously always be tweaked. Did You Know? nomination for Royal Space Force

Hi! Yoninah, thank you for your review of this nomination. I looked at the phrase "What was described as the world premiere of the film occurred at an event held in the United States on February 19, 1987 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood" and noticed that citation 180 had been positioned right after "world premiere of the film." However this same citation (Matsushita 1987 pp. 31-32) also documents the information that this premiere was held at on February 19, 1987 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood so I went ahead and moved the position of citation 180 from its previous point to after "on February 19, 1987 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.”

I would be fine with your suggestion of changing "was marketed in Japan by staging a Hollywood premiere" to "was marketed in Japan by means of a Hollywood premiere" but to explain why I used the phrase, the reader will see cited in the article under the Marketing section that there were questionable aspects to this premiere, that it wasn't really the same version of the film that would later go into wide release in Japan but a renamed and to an important extent rewritten dub titled "Star Quest". That was why I used "staging" because it has the meanings of both putting on an event and doing it for the purpose of creating a certain impression (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/staging).
