Welcome! edit

Hello, Thecapitalking, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! —Unforgettableid (talk) 07:25, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ahmed Mazloum edit

The article Ahmed Mazloum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough evidence of passing WP:GNG (besides All Africa article, not enough significant coverage by reliable sources)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — MarkH21talk 07:59, 8 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Sheikh Waziri (January 16) edit

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sheikh Waziri. The previous deletion discussion was only three weeks ago, so that very little has changed. If this submission is substantially different, you may Request Undeletion only to demonstrate that this draft is better than the deleted article. You may instead request Deletion Review, but that will involve demonstrating an error in the deletion. Do not resubmit this draft without either showing a substantial change or without deletion review.

If another article or draft is submitted without following these instructions, it may be salted.

Speedy deletion nomination of Ronke Sokefun edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ronke Sokefun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://wimbizannualconference.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Odum Chijioke John moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Odum Chijioke John, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Uncle Azeez edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Uncle Azeez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Thecapitalking. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.

Again, declaring which articles you have been hired to create is mandatory per this policy. bonadea contributions talk 08:03, 12 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Thecapitalking, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Thecapitalking|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. UPE suspicion and a reply from Celestina007 edit

Despite your protestations to the contrary, we still think you may be an undisclosed paid editor. If you make any additional undisclosed paid edits, you may be blocked from editing. If you have ever been paid to create Wikipedia articles, now is a good time to disclose the truth. If you do so, we can allow you to continue to create new pages.

Most of your creations have already been deleted. Even if you're not a paid editor, I encourage you to always put new articles through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process instead of creating them directly. This process takes time, but may help reduce the chances of your creations getting deleted later.

Regards, —Unforgettableid (talk) 07:27, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Unforgettableid, I share your concerns on UPE by the editor but with no evidence I am yet to report them. When it comes to the UPE ring in Nigeria or amongst shady Nigerian editors, a major red flag is observing the creation of pages on “Businessmen” a perfect example would be their most recent article which is the Dapo Awofisayo article. Also, pertaining to the UPE ring, it isn’t uncommon to see them(the more experienced UPE editors) be very productive editors, in the end it is a strategy in order to avoid suspicion & evade scrutiny.Celestina007 12:38, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

In addition, you created the George Omoraro article. You clearly have no interest in following Wikipedia's policies. --bonadea contributions talk 14:17, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lord Lamba edit

The article Lord Lamba has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:ENT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
