Speedy deletion nomination of /Mikhail Tank edit

A tag has been placed on /Mikhail Tank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pedro Zamora edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. You removed content from Wikipedia with this edit of yours to Pedro Zamora, but without providing a rationale for this in an Edit Summary. When removing material, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 03:04, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing content from articles, as you did with this edit to Pedro Zamora. As I stated above, removing valid content without citing a valid, policy-based rationale or any attempt at discussion, and ignoring messages like the one above, constitutes disruptive editing, and may be construed as vandalism. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia and ignore these messages, you risk being blocked from editing. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 09:36, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Regarding your last edit summary, User:Callelinea, who took the photo, was close friends with Zamora, and as I recall from when I asked him about the wisdom of using that photo years ago, he said Zamora's sister Milagros gave permission to use photo in order to help spread his message, I believe in order to show the effects of AIDS. I've left a message on his talk page asking him to speak with you here with you about this. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 19:05, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi there...Nightscream is correct in what he says. Please look at the discussion page and in it I state the reasons why that picture is posted. If you have any questions about Pedro, please don't hesitate to contact me, Callelinea (talk) 22:05, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
The article talk page! So that's where we discussed it! I was looking all over Callelinea's talk page, and couldn't find it! (Duh.) Thanks, Calle. :-) Nightscream (talk) 01:27, 3 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Conflict of interest edit

I recently commented on this deletion discussion. Because it appears you are affiliated with Tank via a PR agency, please read the notice below:

Hello Stevenlevine1. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  1. Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  2. Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  3. Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  4. Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. — Scientizzle 17:00, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:MikhailOfficial.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:MikhailOfficial.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 13:04, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Boy Butter edit

The article Boy Butter has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

advert

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for December 17 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jay Huguley, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages The Walking Dead and True Detective. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
