Nomination of DesignContest for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article DesignContest is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DesignContest until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Shirt58 (talk) 11:49, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is my first work, I have done so many misstakes)) but now I had reread rules. I completely reworked References. It was not easy, I hope it will bring results and I will write about crowdsourcing more. --SlavaBest (talk) 08:04, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Add lots changes, ask for help to know everything is ok now or I must do something more?

SlavaBest (talk) 10:42, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Replied at the article deletion entry. Your prompt reaction involving focused work would be appreciated as the deletion requests don't sit there forever. (If all else fails, just request article creation by a volunteer for you, per Wikipedia:COI in 5W.) Gryllida (talk) 10:51, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Why this article still nomitaded and no one take part in disscion? What I do wrong?

Wikipedia is a volunteer run website. As such they have lives and do this on their spare time. They will respond over 7 days (or more) and a decision will be made. Mkdwtalk 03:19, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
It`s allready take 8 days...SlavaBest (talk) 04:27, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Seems like whoever nominated the article never properly listed it. I have relisted it. Mkdwtalk 04:33, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much for your help. Hope this helps.SlavaBest (talk) 04:37, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article still has absolutely no mention of relationship of the subject by independent entity which the entity itself initiated. (It also is in a promotional tone, mentioning "true crowdsourcing principles", "great resonance", for example, which are subjective and opinionated. Those can be fixed if you analyze sources to the first point.) —Gryllida (talk) 08:46, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Gryllida Thaks, I fixed tone and keep working)) SlavaBest (talk) 22:29, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

February 2014 edit

Hello, I'm EncMstr. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Loon Lake (Oregon) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —EncMstr (talk) 15:05, 14 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok. undestend))
Here is the text you added and I have bolded the objectionable bits per The Five Pillars.
Loon Lake is a popular recreation area 20 miles east of Reedsport, Oregon. It boasts one of the coast's finest campgrounds with a warm, sandy beach. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing and water skiing. Campsites, some of which are accessible,(?) are available for tent campers and RVs alike.[ref] "Loon Lake Recreation". Recreation.gov. 2010. [/ref]
Here is how it might be written neutrally:
Loon Lake is a recreation area 20 miles (32 km) east of Reedsport, Oregon. It has a campgrounds with a sandy beach and a lake suitable for swimming, fishing and water skiing. It has camping for tents and RVs.[ref] "Loon Lake Recreation". Recreation.gov. Retrieved 2014-02-15. [/ref]
Is that clearer? (I have also added a unit conversion and enhanced the citation a bit.)

Thank you. Now everything is clear. SlavaBest (talk) 05:25, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. File permission problem with File:Ukrainian Humanitarian Lyceum Logo, Feb 2014.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ukrainian Humanitarian Lyceum Logo, Feb 2014.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:00, 9 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
