The first NPP source guide discussion is now underway. It covers a wide range of sources in Ghana with the goal of providing more guidance to reviewers about sources they might see when reviewing pages. Hopefully, new page reviewers will join others interested in reliable sources and those with expertise in these sources to make the discussion a success.

@Marshall294: The problem is that none of your references provide in-depth coverage of the subject in reliable sources. @Marshall294: Not in fully professional leagues though. Note that his stint in Turku is, from what I understand, with FC Inter Turku 2 which plays in the third division. Speedy Deletion - Pudgee Tha Phat Bastard

Good afternoon, I hope all is well. I am reaching out to you because you have helped me in the past with an article I wrote, "Spliff Star". I found you to be very helpful and can use your assistance here. I did a page for Pudgee Tha Phat Bastard, also known as T. Horton or Tracey Horton; he is a writer, emcee and producer and has written for Tupac, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, the Notorious B.I.G. and Rakim. He is also an artist in his own right with work on several marquee labels. He has been featured in several articles, including Forbes. The main issue I had upon submission was that wiki thought the page was dis-ambiguous due to his name and alias; one is used as his stage name and the other when he writes and produces. The individual who deleted the page is arguing that this individual cannot stand alone; I believe I have submitted enough information to support otherwise. Google Adds New Languages to Google Translate

In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.

Special:WantedTemplates

Hi, I have been cleaning up Special:WantedTemplates and noticed that Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:"_+_"oldafdfull"_+_" is pointing to your monobook.js pages. clearly these are false positives (basically a bug in how WP parses .js pages). it would be really great if you could add
// <syntaxhighlight lang=javascript> to the top and
// </syntaxhighlight> to the bottom of those pages. by putting these tags in comments, it won't prevent the javascript from executing, but it will remove those pages from Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:"_+_"oldafdfull"_+_". alternatively, if you are no longer using the monobook skin (many people are using vector these days) and don't need to keep the old page, you could just have the page deleted. thank you in advance for your help. RedurMaye, I'm not sure that it is wise to do this on the page Sassanids. The origins of the Sassanid are already covered in part in Sasanian Empire (especially the section "History"), Timeline of the Sasanian Empire, Kings of Persis, Sasan and House of Sasan. Starting a new page that significantly intersects the scope of these other articles is likely to lead to a content fork which would be detrimental. New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Barkeep49, yeah, I hesitated in restoring the redirect because the referencing was iffy. In the end, I judged it could survive as a standalone article but I'm fine with the redirect so long as the B2K article describes (if succinctly) the post-B2K of the individual members of the group.
