List of 2010 Haiti earthquake aftershocks edit

Hi, I'm not clear why you removed the PROD-tag, but I've nominated the article for deletion. Just FYI. ╟─TreasuryTagstannator─╢ 13:50, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that—but why couldn't you have explained clearly when removing the tag? ╟─TreasuryTagsenator─╢ 14:01, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Léogâne edit

Good work, I've spent the last twenty minutes trying to figure out how to get that on the map and now I find you've beaten me to it. Bah/hoorah. Yomanganitalk 17:48, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

It looks a bit strange on a laptop that I checked it on. I've screen captured the OK-looking version which we could use instead.

Speedy deletion declined: Up in the World edit

Hello Pichpich, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Up in the World, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:03, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are now a Reviewer edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 23:33, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Admins edit

Hi. Why are you using your wikignome account to debate Admin policy? You have a regular account, right?Anythingyouwant (talk) 00:24, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the info. If you've pretty much ditched your admin account, then I guess there's no problem. I was just slightly concerned that you might be someone I know who didn't want me to know that I know. If that's not the case, then never mind. Thx.Anythingyouwant (talk) 01:08, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re On-demand scan edit

Hi, Pichpich

I'm calling in about a CSD tag which you just removed from On-demand scan article. Your edit summary makes me think you've probably meant to remove a bogus AFD tag (not CSD) from an article which was open at the same time in your web browser. Correct me if I am wrong, but when a user puts a CSD tag on a page, that page is an official candidate or nominee for speedy deletion, right? An administrator must attend to the nomination, right?

Of course, if I am wrong in any of what I said above, just notify me.

Cheers. Fleet Command (talk) 14:58, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

By the way, in case I am right, you'd better rush to that page with bogus AFD notice. Fleet Command (talk) 15:00, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Huh? So, you mean you wanted to oppose this CSD? If I knew that I wouldn't have undone it! Sorry about that undoing man; it didn't sound like that to me. So, next time would you please write "I oppose this CSD"? See you around. Fleet Command (talk) 18:27, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pick-A-Prof edit

I wanted to have a quick blurb about the company, not only a redirect. Wtferguson (talk) 18:42, 18 August 2010 (UTC) If a redirect makes more sense, then I suppose that will work. I realize they are in essence the same, but I wanted to have that blurb because the company technically no longer exists. Then it is internally linked to the other page. You are welcome to edit the article appropriatelly, but please wait for another hour, until I finish the writing and remove the under construction tag. Thank you ! -- Prunk (talk) 15:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Uncategorized Task Force in the Signpost edit

"WikiProject Report" would like to focus on the Categorized Patrol/Task Force for a Signpost article to be published next month. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Also, if you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 16:18, 21 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Category:Flies edit

I am confused by your re-addition of categories such as Category:Nycteribiidae to articles where I had removed them. I cannot see that having a category for two articles is in any way helpful (see WP:CAT for a brief discussion of the purpose of categories). It's not even as if Category:Flies was so large as to be unwieldy. If your intention is that all fly articles should be in a family category, for the sake of symmetry, let me assure you that that isn't necessary. It is perfectly acceptable to have a few articles from small families floating in the main category. --Stemonitis (talk) 19:35, 1 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Category:Connecticu Huskies coaches edit

This page was not created as a "test". It was created out of a legitimate desire to create a category page. True, I did not review the spelling as closely as I should have, but it was an unintentional misspelling.John Pack Lambert (talk) 15:23, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

French drama edit

Hi Pichpich. I noticed that you had made edits to the article on the French Actress Madeleine Ozeray. I am looking for people who are interested in creating quality articles on the plays of Jean Giraudoux and related subjects. Giraudoux is not a big enough subject to be a WikiProject; but all of 20th century French drama certainly would be. For a complete outline of my ideas on the subject, see my personal page at the link below. If you are interested, drop me a note on that same personal page.

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:44, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Populating Category:Occupational surnames edit

After I saw the tag which you had added to Category:Occupational surnames, I populated the category with occupational surname articles. At first, I added articles on surnames that I remembered, and then I added surname articles that I found in Category:Surnames.
If an article said that a surname was an occupational surname, then the decision to add the article to the category was straightforward. Otherwise, if I found a corresponding definition in Wiktionary, then I included a link to the definition in my edit summary. (I missed wikt:panettiere, Italian for "baker", for Panettiere.) There were many surnames (not only English ones) which I omitted because their articles did not explicitly state that they were occupational surnames, although they probably are. Some examples are Painter and Dancer (disambiguation).
(I am adding this talk page to my watchlist, and I will watch here for a reply or replies.)
Wavelength (talk) 00:06, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
