I don't understand this edit edit

[1] Is your goal to show that Lights (Ellie Goulding song) is outstanding enough to warrant a separate article because it attracted a critical response? Just as with the sections on its music video, live performance, and release, this isn't something that raises Lights above any other single which satisfies notability. So I just don't understand your underlying assumptions, unless you believe that every single crossing the notability threshold ought to get an article, which is precisely what WP:NSONGS prohibits.- Simon Dodd { U·T·C·WP:LAW } 17:34, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Okay, fair enough. By the by, I wish you would not misrepresent my position in this debate. I have said that this isn't about notability often enough that it really tests the limits of good faith to say that my "argument revolves around the idea that these articles aren't notable enough." I've made that point in response to your comment, but off-channel, I'd just ask that you stick to disagreeing with my actual position rather than a strawman.- Simon Dodd { U·T·C·WP:LAW } 17:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am currently working on it. I was just doing it like that for the time being. Since they were released from different albums, and different years, they should be different. And since they also charted in a different year, it makes it easier. nding·start 19:24, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-Free rationale for File:Ll front.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ll front.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under Non-Free content criteria but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a Non-Free rationale.

If you have uploaded other Non-Free media, consider checking that you have specified the Non-Free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:44, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article Feedback Tool update edit

Hey Pafcool2. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:25, 1 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:Bartlett School of Architecture Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Park Place.JPG edit

Thank you for uploading File:Park Place.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Brothers 2003.jpg edit

The file File:Brothers 2003.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:19, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hope you like my improvements to the article you started in 2007! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:23, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The main information which is missing from this list, are the coordinate locations of each park. I don't suppose you would be able to get this information? There is a map and pointer on the council's webpage, but I can't extract the coordinates easily. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:27, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Pinduoduo proposal feedback edit

Hi, I see that you’re an active member of the Retailing WikiProject and I was wondering if you might be willing to have a look at a proposal I just submitted to fix issues with the article for Pinduoduo. (I have a COI as an employee of Pinduoduo’s sister company Temu and am trying to adhere strictly to the rules, which is why I’ve made a proposal instead of editing the page myself.) As you might know, Pinduoduo is China’s biggest e-commerce company for agricultural produce, so I hope that you might find the subject matter intriguing given your interest in Retail. Thanks very much for your time! Snowy2000 (talk) 17:12, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
