House of Rennes moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, House of Rennes, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "House of Rennes".

If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Draft:The Lutes-Rideout family of New Brunswick moved to draft space edit

Hello. I have moved your page Draft:The Lutes-Rideout family of New Brunswick to draft space because it was not ready for main space. The main concern is that it was an article about living people which did not contain any references to reliable sources. Wikipedia has strict policies governing articles about living people. Statements must be supported by reliable sources, in part to establish notability. Anything not supported by sources is likely to be deleted. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:24, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Will Gao edit

A tag has been placed on Will Gao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Wholly unsourced WP:BLP article. Minimal content. Likely meets A7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Draft:Ann seamens moved to draft space. edit

I have moved Draft:Ann seamens to draft space. As with the previous move, this page is a biography of a living person without any references to reliable sources. Additionally, the subject of the article might not meet the notability guidelines for people. In short, Wikipedia:Notability is usually established by extensive discussions in multiple independent and reliable sources. I hope that you understand. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:34, 3 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Will Gao edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Will Gao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read! Notice of Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents discussion edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. TornadoLGS (talk) 03:54, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

What issue?? Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy (talk) 03:57, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

It has to do with the unsourced articles you have created. The discussion is currently the in the section at the bottom of the page (in the link) with your username. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:04, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also, please put any responses to this matter there, rather than here. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:08, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I apologize, i'm still not great at my ability to create articles, however i am learning & have recently learn how to make links and sources. I am trurly passionate about information and i mean no harm, i am only trying to expand the knowledge of Wikipedia! Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy (talk) 04:11, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I saw your message on my talkpage. I'm going to be signing off for the night. I do understand that this is largely a matter of inexperience and not any malice. However, I'll say again that you should leave any responses to this matter at the page linked here. This is so the administrators can see what you have to say. Comments by administrators and other editors will also go there, so it would be a good idea for you to keep an eye on it.
I added the report, but I am not myself an administrator, so whatever decision is made on that page ultimately isn't up to me. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:51, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I recommend you hold off on creating pages for now. If you haven't already, I highly recommend you go through The Wikipedia Adventure which will teach you some of the most important knowledge there is to edit here. If you have further questions, you're welcome to ask on my talk page. Welcome! Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). 05:50, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy, I understand that you're trying to contribute, but it's important that articles (especially ones involving living people) are properly sourced. Since you are still learning how to edit, I suggest you create drafts and submit them through the WP:Articles for Creation process. This will allow your articles to be reviewed by experienced editors before they go live. You can create a draft article by going here: Wikipedia:Article wizard. You should also read about Wikipedia's notability criteria so that you understand which articles do and do not qualify for inclusion. (In particular, being a spouse or a relative of a notable person does not mean someone is automatically qualified to have an article). Spicy (talk) 13:13, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • And please, please read what is considered a reliable source. Creating articles with horrible sourcing is hardly better that no source at all. Your sourcing here is abysmal. Wikipedia is not a genealogy website.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:10, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

5 new sources including one from Cambridge Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy (talk) 00:05, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm not being rude, I'm being direct because your editing is causing a great deal of work for other editors, reviewers and administrators. I've asked you to read through our reliable sourcing policy and your response was to add more genealogical websites, so you clearly don't understand what constitutes a reliable source.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:45, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I've added more sources, like you have ASKED. I am furthering Wikipedias knowledge. It is not my fault you have an issue with me. I would not create an article if i did not believe it was worthy of being made (please look at the sources properly🙄) Nyaytyhyaynyiyeylyluytyeysy (talk) 19:54, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I asked you to read the reliable sourcing criteria and to follow it, not to add whatever websites turn up in a Google search. As an Administrator, I'm letting you know that if you are not capable of discerning what constitutes a reliable source, you will be blocked from editing as a certain degree of competence is required to edit here. I undrestand that there is a learning curve, but you're not absorbing what other editors are explaining. Not everyone who wants to contribute productively is able to do so, and your edits are wasting the time of other volunteers who have to clean up your errors.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:00, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Why have you not taken any of the advice that we've given you? I've recommended you undergo The Wikipedia Adventure, which you obviously haven't done yet because no TWA messages have appeared on your account. When you're on a knife's edge, blaming others for having the audacity to warn you that you're on the path to a block is never the right move. Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. Please point to where exactly I have threatened you. You will find that you're not able to, because it doesn't exist. Also, this essay isn't quite applicable since there's no unblock request but I recommend you have a read of this section anyway.
