Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Caribbean Series, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page By (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:24, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

License tagging for File:JohnSheridan.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:JohnSheridan.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello, MusiCitizen. This is a reminder that internal links should lead to related articles. It is therefore not usually necessary to wikilink to English language when citing a book written in English. And as DPL bot points out, 'English' is a disambiguation page. You may find it helpful to use this template when citing Encyclopedia of Minor League Baseball. Happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 05:03, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Nicknames

I notice that you have been removing nicknames from the introductory, bold listing of name in many baseball player articles in recent days. This struck me as being odd. It's always been my understanding that the nicknames should be listed when a player was commonly known by the nickname. E.g. Baseball Hall of Famers Babe Ruth', Whitey Ford, Pepper Martin, Sparky Anderson, Yogi Berra, Chief Bender, Catfish Hunter, Lefty Grove, Kid Nichols, Rube Foster, Dizzy Dean, Home Run Baker, Cool Papa Bell, Candy Cummings, Jocko Conlan, Goose Goslin, Gabby Hartnett, Chick Hafey, King Kelly, Happy Chandler, etc. Has there been a more recent discussion reflecting a change in consensus on this? Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Jim Bucher.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Jim Bucher.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:54, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Bob Smith (pitcher born 1931)

In your edit here[1] you added to the article the category 'People from Augusta, Georgia'. He did die in Augusta GA, but the legacy.com obituary which was also added by you to the article, clearly says he lived in Aiken since 2000 and that his surviving wife was from there. Aiken is in South Carolina, just across the border from Augusta. I removed the People from Augusta GA category and replaced it with 'People from Aiken County, South Carolina'. Just letting you know....William 12:07, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to John Balaz may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • Balaz hit his first major league home run off Kansas City Royals pitcher Paul Splittorff (Royals Stadium, September 24, 1974}, and his second and last against Vic Albury of the Minnesota Twins {Anaheim Stadium, July

The article Brock Peterson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable individual, insufficient for even a section on St. Louis Cardinals minor league players

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Muboshgu (talk) 13:57, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

A couple of things

 • Obituaries aren't WP:RS. You used one for much of his article.
 • Nowhere in the obituary, or even this Berlin New Hampshire article after his death, says he was a long-time resident of Berlin. The obituary and article in fact say he was from Randolph, New Hampshire. He died in a Berlin nursing home that's all....William 13:23, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Re:Hola

Hey my good friend, how are you? Believe it or not, I was thinking of writing to you yesterday. I was searching my old "talk pages" for the time that I attacked without mercy by some Wikipedians who did not even know me two years ago, I came upon your messages of encouragement after I had my heart operation and I told myself "What a great friend".

I took a break from writing articles and with my grandchildren went about taking pictures and documenting old historic sites in Phoenix and surrounding areas. I created "historic properties" sections for the Wikipedia articles of these towns and uploaded my pictures. My favorite towns in Arizona, besides Tombstone and Phoenix are Glendale and Wickenburg.

Glendale is the type of city which has maintained its' "Leave to Beaver" 1950s old town atmosphere. Wickenburg has maintained much of its Western culture. I created the List of historic properties in Phoenix, Arizona and List of historic properties in Glendale, Arizona articles.

Now get this. The "Arizona Republic" was so impressed with my work that they decided to create a series based on it and asked my permission to use my photos, see: Glendales Historic Homes and Buildings, Phoenix Historic Buildings, Peoria Historic Buildings and Scottsdale Historic Buildings.

Isn't that something? Tony the Marine (talk) 19:38, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Editor of the Week

  Editor of the Week
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week, for excellent work on baseball articles. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)

User:AutomaticStrikeout submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

I nominate MusiCitizen for the Editor of the Week award. This user began editing over nine years ago and a quick glance at his userpage reveals an almost mind-blowing amount of content creation, primarily related to the field of baseball. I have personally observed him maintaining the article 2013 in baseball, which he has edited almost 200 times! While MusiCitizen does display a handful of barnstars and the like at the bottom of his userpage, it appears that his vast contributions have gone severely under-recognized. I certainly hope we can help change that. AutomaticStrikeout () 15:14, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

You can copy the following text to your user page to display a user box proclaiming your selection as Editor of the Week:

A tag has been placed on File:Rudy Minarcin.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the Non-free fair use tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Query

Hey, I have noticed that, somewhat frequently, you have "copy+paste" as an edit summary, or something similar. May I ask what that means? I'm just making sure you're not just copypasting stuff from a source without writing it in your own words, since that would be a copyright issue. Wizardman 19:48, 25 October 2013

Category: Minor League Baseball players

This category is not for everybody that played in minor league baseball. This is what it says at the top of the page: ""This category is for (a) baseball players who are currently at the minor league level, (b) former minor league players who never played for a team at the major league level or the country's highest level league, and (c) retired players who made significant contributions while playing in the minor leagues and are more noteworthy for their minor league careers than for their major league accomplishments."--Yankees10 18:02, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Re: Merry Christmas

Thank you and I wish you the same my friend. My health is very bad, however I would like to share a story with you.

Last October I was in the local library and found a book about a place that most people have never seen or even heard of. I became fascinated when I read about this place, a hill called Indian Mesa. Hills that resembled tables were named "mesa" by the Spaniards. What called my attention was the fact that on top of the mesa were the 1000 year old ruins of a Hohokam village. The Hohokams were a Native American tribe that resided in Arizona.

After reading about this, the explorer blood in me was reactivated. The Indiana Jones in me decided to organize an expedition which included my son Jose and Paul, a long time family friend, to explore the site. I told my son, "This will be my last great adventure", Little did I know how true those words were. On the day of our expedition, after we reached Lake Pleasant Regional Park located in the Bradshaw Mountains which belongs to the Sonora Desert, we hiked for 3 miles in rough and rocky terrain. It was real hell. When we finally reached the skirt of the hills, we realized that there were two similar hills with trails leading to their summits. We were not sure which of the two hills to climb, unknown to us we were on the skirt of the right hill. The hills are surrounded by steep cliffs and the hike trail to the top was a dangerous one with a drop of 100 feet.

I found myself with difficulty breathing and we decided to discontinue our adventure until December. We had to hike 3 miles back to where our car was parked. I realized then that I was no longer the 20 year old Marine who could march miles without any problem. I should have taken to account that I had open heart surgery two years ago. But, you know that good-old Forrest Gump saying "Stupid is as Stupid does". I later found out that I have only 15% of my heart working and that the hike almost killed me. I now have to wear a "Life Vest", asi es la vida.

I was unable to accomplish my hiking mission on December, but one of the good things of my almost mortal adventure was that my son Jose and his wife Heather together with some family friends became inspired by me and have continued with my adventurous archaeological spirit. They conquered Indian Mesa and were witness to the prehistorical ruins left behind by the Hohokams.

I would like to share the article about Indian Mesa which I wrote: Indian Mesa.

New Year Template

Hi MusiCitizen, thank you for the New Year's Greeting, it is very nice. However, I see that you have given this to several users, and in replying, I noticed that you hadn't closed the template properly, so that the entire page would be in Bradley Hand ITC, grey, and the box for the template would span the entire page. I closed it here if you wanted to see what to do (the only reason I know about this is because I have done the same thing with welcome templates). Most importantly; have a great New Year! Best, Matty.007 14:55, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
