Proposed deletion of Riyaz shah

edit

The article Riyaz shah has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Wgolf (talk) 04:31, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Badlapur (film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diffs: [1] Since genre can be subjective, it should always be sourced. Your change to the critical response, from "mixed to negative" to "highly positive" is completely unsubstantiated. Firstly, such summaries should come from review aggregators and be directly attributed. Secondly, there are several reviews in the article that are lukewarm at best. Please be careful about this, as elevating films in this way can look a lot like a promotional agenda. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:09, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Super-hit" language

edit

Hi, please avoid using language like "Super-hit" as you did here, or other terminologies like "Blockbuster", "hit", "below average", "flop". These labels are meaningless from an encyclopedic standpoint, (because they are subjective evaluations) and tend to serve only to promote or demote a film because we are using marketing terminologies, not actual data. And even if we were to directly attribute them to a source, like "Judy Ireland of Times of India declared the movie a blockbuster", this still represents an opinion, not a fact, and likely constitutes undue elevation of one person's opinion over the opinions of everyone else in the industry. Anyhow, please avoid this stuff. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:34, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

More problematic edits

edit

Hi there. Your edit here at Shaandaar was inappropriate. It's not your place to attempt to summarize critical response of a film without the content being adequately attributed to a reliable published source. We are not interested in your personal commentary or your opinions. You have already been warned about this in January, and you've already been blocked for disruptive editing. If you submit this sort of problematic content again, I will block your account again for much longer. This is not a punitive measure, rather, it's a measure intended to protect the encyclopedia from disruption until you adequately understand why the edits are not helpful. Thanks. Proposed deletion of Nannaku Prematho

edit

The article Nannaku Prematho has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of substantial discussions before release

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:Cowboy poster.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Cowboy poster.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 09:23, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
