Joanny C. Chavarria moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Joanny C. Chavarria, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Adrian Arguedas Ruano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Conflict of Interest edit

Hello. thank you for your respond. How I declare that i am not getting paid for creating an article.... actually, this is going to be my first article, I am doing this for an artist that i know, it would be based on multiple articles and books about his career. I work in a totally different field. I think it is clearly easy to notice that I am not a philologist or literature professional, I don't read books, and I am not a writer... I just like challenges and if I can help somebody I would do my best to do it..... Now, should I add a link about the conflict of interest declaration to the article..? I think that I have enough trying to fix this text to reach the way you consider the encyclopedic level of Wikipedia is....to add reasons to probe that I am not getting paid for this... Joannych Joannych (talk) 00:32, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

In the article Joanny C. Chavarria you created about yourself (subsequently moved to draft space and then deleted), you described yourself as "an Art Agent who represents Contemporary artists", and said that you "[combined] the professional management skills learned with technology to promote arts, support cultural projects and contemporary artist". Your conflict of interest is very obvious, and your continuing efforts to use Wikipedia for promotion will fail. -- Hoary (talk) 01:20, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

IT is Risible edit

The Wikipedia page states this.." Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation..." THIS IS NOT TRUTH ... Wikipedia should change the statements about "in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation" not truth either. It looks like there should be more strict conditions about the future editors, my experience as a person who wanted to add value information on this media was terrible. I would not recommend anybody to try to add information in Wikipedia, NOT EASY AT ALL... even in Spanish or English, if you guys want an honest feedback... you must NOT USE NICKNAMES, I thanks everyone who responded to my inquiries, but it was really frustrated trying to get advice from people that is so overbearing and even bully... As I said before, I do not like to argue with people that use nicknames, I think that detail, decreases the value of this platform. Joannych Joannych (talk) 02:36, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Joannych: Hello! I'm sorry you had a hard time with Draft:Adrian Arguedas Ruano. The problem with your draft was that it was very promotional. I am going to try to fix the draft, and make it acceptable on Wikipedia according to our policies. It's probably best if you stand back from editing it for a bit, as you have a conflict of interest. That said, it is still "the Encyclopedia that anyone csn edit", so you can edit the draft... but it might slow things down as it is likely that I understand what will get published better than you do at the moment. One thing that would be very, very helpful is if you look at the collections section I added to the draft, and found sources for those collections. You could add the sources on the talk page or in the article. Finally, almost everyone on Wikipedia uses a semi-anonymous username (I think you call these "nicknames"), this is very normal here.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 03:17, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
PS: if you are some kind of "art agent" (I see this mentioned above), then you need to be extremely clear about this. Also once the article is published you will not be able to edit it directly as you have a COI.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 03:19, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
And now I see that you are an art agent, or you say you are on this version of your talk page. You need to clarify your involvement with the draft you have created, please be very clear. We do not allow the use of Wikipedia for promotion, which is why you have had a difficult time here.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 04:45, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you "ThatMontrealIP" I appreciate your help... but I am not interested anymore, I have already submitted the draft for deletion. Joannych Joannych (talk) 04:55, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Anyway, even if I was an "Art Agent", nobody with a nickname can probe that i am using an article from Wikipedia to make money... it results to be a contradiction, because a lot of articles that are currently posted in Wikipedia are part of a comercial engine, from one or other point of views, it is comercial, wikipedia is winning money from donations, and also have a lot of the information in storage with no copy rights. If I would want to earn money as an "art agent", I would proceed through other ways of marketing strategies of a platform better positioned on the market place.... After this experience, now I think Wikipedia is not trusted platform. Joannych Joannych (talk) 05:18, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry the draft cannot be deleted at this point. The subject is notable, and several other editors have worked on it. Your best option is perhaps just to ignore it at this point. Please do not place any more deletion templates as they are not applicable to this draft.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 06:06, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

August 2020 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:04, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Robert McClenon, I feel like we should keep it low here. It's normal for editors to feel depressed after getting their draft declined (I myself have been declined once), so I don't really see the need for you to put such message of "you can be blocked too." Joannych has a road ahead from being a lowkey member of Wikipedia here. GeraldWL 13:02, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Robert McClenon: I do not have time to argue, you have proven to be rude and harassing with your messages, it is really the appositive of the vission of Wikipedia, the article is already being edited by someone else and you should leave it like that, I would appreciate if you please do not leave any other type of message, I don't work for Wikipedia. Hi there, let's have a nice discussion edit

Hi there, Joannych. I'm sorry about how you feel about the declination of your draft about a contemporary artist. Looking at your talk page and reading your drafts, I feel like it would be good for both of us to have a nice discussion about our definition of Wikipedia. I will also use a controlled level of English to have you understand.

Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia, as you quoted in one of your sections here. However this does not mean you can freely do anything. It also does not mean it's not easy to edit. Just click edit, edit it, publish it. This can be an exception for protected pages, where users with a level can edit it. To let you understand, an encyclopedia is a collection of references and sources, with several contexts given. An encyclopedia should only be about an important thing/person, and cannot be written by that person. It is because: if anyone can have a page it means all 7 billion people in this world can seem very important; you may be biased as in how you write about yourself. Your draft about the artist is declined (not rejected, it is different) because it makes claims without giving a source; your article about yourself is deleted[1] because it does not have sources and that it is about yourself, and that you have a bias on how you present yourself, example: you don't want to talk about bad stuff people talked about you.

If you have a conflict of interest about a topic (that means you have a close connection or hate to the topic), DO NOT edit it, as you may be biased. It's also important to note self-reference, like in your draft: "and later with the series I call, "Memorable Images" from 1992-1993;" "to speak to us." On Wikipedia, readers do not know who you are. You should not say something like "Thanks for reading this," "I hate this person" etc., because the readers may not know you.

Wikipedia is also not a blog or a guide, so your sentence "Before talking about the Art of Adrian Arguedas, it is essential to highlight the influence exerted, from his childhood,..." is not in the right tone there.

Also, I'm not rude, but you have a low to mild level of English by your draft. English Wikipedians are expected to have moderate or native level of English, so it's best for you to have more trainings on the English language to familiarize yourself with it.

I have more things to talk about, so if you need anything, you can ask here, and I will surely reply as I saw it. I hope you get to stay on Wikipedia and take this as a good resource of lesson. I will be happy to help you. GeraldWL 13:30, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Gerald Waldo Luis: I am not interested in anything else about this article or any more information from Wikipedia, PLEASE STOP all your harassing messages, i am NOT interested... joannych Joannych (talk) 17:57, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Joannych: I an trying to help you, not bullying. Please do not bash everyone here just because we are teaching you the concept of Wikipedia. I was once you. I have had my articles declined or deleted, and I know it may seem hard, but you can LEARN from this. If I want to bully you, I have better ways to do so. I'm also a victim of bullying, so I will NEVER EVER bully someone just because they're a newcomer, because theoretically, I am ALSO a newcomer. I adhere to WP:AGF and WP:NEWBIE, that I shouldn't think bad about you, AND I NEVER WILL, because I was once bullied. I was physically beaten up at school, and punched to the floor really hard that I was hospitalized. The way you take everyone a bully here sickens me; you have brought me back to the old days and you have lost my temper and trust. I beg you to change; I can tell who you are like in the real world even at a first glance. I an helping you, and you have betrayed my trust. Unless you apologize genuinely, I will forever see your name as a demon who just wants themselves to be right. GeraldWL 02:32, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Adrian Arguedas Ruano edit

Hello! The article has been published. As you have a very clear conflict of interest, you should not edit the article directly. Changes maybe suggested on the talk page. You have not been very clear about your paid editing status, so I would strongly advise clarifying whether you are Argueda's agent or working to promote him. Thanks.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 16:52, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

THE MESSAGE I SENT TO WIKIPEDIA FOUNDATION.... PLEASE NO MORE REPLIES --- STOP MESSAGES edit

Hello, my name is Joanny C. Chavarria, my Wikipedia user is JOANNYCH. I am very disappointed about the bad treatment I have received from people who work editing articles and who represent Wikipedia.

I would like to formally write a complaint, to report the bad treatment and harassing treatment that I have received through messages from some of the Wikipedia workers, who are masked with the following nicknames, Robert McClenon, ThatMontrealIP, Grabergs Graa Sang, Hoary, Nick Moyes, SuggestBot, Koridas, Java Hurricane,Fizz Fam,Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect!, O'n-O'nik.

My experience, after writing an article, should have been simply the answer of acceptance or rejection, however, it turned into a fight of messages from people using pseudonyms, who do not respected me as a person, neither respect, that they are representing a company as prestigious as Wikipedia, that also receives donations from many people worldwide.

It is unacceptable that people who work for Wikipedia use nicknames, and that they rely on their "nickname" to treat persons as "low level people", it is not part of the Mission and Vision of Wikipedia to despise a person's work. Wikipedia is supposed to be an "open encyclopedia so that anyone can add or edit information"... it is not possible, that Wikipedia workers take advantage of their nickname mask to abuse their position and harass a person who tries to add valuable information to their encyclopedia.

For this reason, I would like to place a formal complaint or request detailed information on the procedure to follow to report harassment received by Wikipedia editors wich nicknames I providing the list with this message. I believe that these types of actions should not happen and eventually would end damaging the image from Wikipedia. Joannych Joannych (talk) 05:43, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your arguments do not make sense. Nicknames are acceptable because maybe people don't want others to know their real identity, maybe they feel insecure, so that's myth busted. You also cannot write a complaint to the Wikimedia Foundation about this; they are not involved in anything. We also are not harassing, please stop using that sympathetic word to make others guilty and think they're wrong. We're teaching you. This is the step of being a Wikipedian, is that you learn from EXPERIENCES. I hope you don't make such guilt-riding and mythical messages; and I hope you can remain civil and calm. GeraldWL 06:01, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

A reply edit

I am surprised to see my name listed as someone who has harassed you, and as far as I can tell, we have never had a conversation of any kind.

I removed a tag on the article which labeled a section as “incomprehensible art speak” but I did not place the tag there in the first place. I removed it. Later, on the talk page, I said the following in your defense:

Much to my sorrow, I can only speak my native tongue, English. In regards to this article, and many others, I am happy to help anyone who is trying to navigate in a foreign language. It seems to me that there are "flavors" in other languages that do not aways translate well into (somewhat stodgy) English. Nontheless, the above is "not going to fly" here on en:WP. (And I am rather lost, just reading it) We need sources that fit.... You are doing good work! Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 04:58, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stating that I could not understand what you were saying in the article, or stating that some of the information in the article would not be accepted by Wikipedia, does NOT mean that I was against you, or the subject of the article. I was trying to help! And what about ThatMontrealIP, who has done their very best to get this article organized and approved?

Perhaps you live in an area where you do not need to be concerned about your identity, how fortunate for you! But as a woman in my sixties, I use a nickname online, as do most others, for personal safety.

Oddly enough, our dreaded and disparaged Wikipedia editors had been able to look beyond your unkind and undeserved words of accusation to produce an article for Adrian Arguedas Ruano. Wasn't this the point in the first place? Now, after making unjustified complaints about certain editors, you suddenly ask for no more replies.

Here, in a post made two days after you said kind words to ThatMontrealIP, (a very excellent and experienced editor), you named them in a complaint:

Complaining about harassment from Wikipedia editors Why did you guys deleted the harassment messages I received from most of you editors with nicknames...??? I have already sent a message to the Wikipedia foundation complaining about your treatment... you all should be aware that you are the first Wikipedia image for the new users, and you are not following the mission and vision that Wikipedia is proud to announce on this page... you should not erase this message. I sent a message to the Wikipedia foundation to make a formal complaint about your harassment treatment and requesting a review of the way you treated this article and your responses to my messages from, Robert McClenon, ThatMontrealIP, Grabergs Graa Sang, Hoary, Nick Moyes, SuggestBot, Koridas, Java Hurricane,Fizz Fam, O'n-O'nik, DM310. joannych Joannych (talk) 00:41, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Four minutes later, you added my name to the list. Why? And why did you list ThatMontrealIP in the first place? We are all volunteers. Notifying Gerald Waldo Luis, and ThatMontrealIP. I am very disappointed. Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 08:35, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Tribe of Tiger, I am angry at Joannych for accusing me as a bully, that's the highest insult someone can call me. Joannych does not appear to understand what "harassment" is. Harassment is the abuse of power to belittle someone, and we don't belittle people, we are trying to help Joannych. He also thinks that the Wikimedia Foundation will deal with this sort of thing. I am helpful with people, but when they insult me like that, I have no respect for them. GeraldWL 08:45, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia volunteers cat-fishing themselves edit

I think that Wikipedia volunteers are nothing more than tricked people cat-fishing themselves. Most likely, they are people interacting with robots, which edit articles written by people who have no idea that they are being manipulated by Wikipedia. You Wikipedia volunteers are people who did not become successful in your own lives and feel that masking yourself with a nickname and volunteering for Wikipedia will help you fill that empty space in your lives, which is nothing more than the result of being losers, you not the robots, never become what they dreamed of being. I do not want to have any link or attachment to this platform at all, I would like my user to be erased... volunteers here are depressed people, keep playing the role of their not completed dream. You have been also manipulated for this big comercial engine called Wikipedia, Good bye..!! Joannych Joannych (talk) 16:06, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:15, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

  1. ^ Deletion does not mean your work will be removed and thrown forever. You can request to have the article "undeleted" if you have enough, okay sources.
