The article Mike Timoney has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actor. A series of regional, off- and off-off-Broadway roles and minor TV and commercial work.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Mike Timoney

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mike Timoney, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Kevin Anderson (tenor)

edit

Hello, Hiyakevin. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Kevin Anderson (tenor), for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Kevin Anderson (tenor) to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

References have been added to back up the links regarding IMDb information. IF you are hoping to help me - you can remove the (tenor) from the name of the article so it appears with the other Kevin Anderson's that are out there with my thanks.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, ubiquity (talk) 17:06, 20 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your section asked me to provide this to edit a page with my info. If it needs a cleanup - by all means. My issue is that they confuse Kevin Anderson the actor and myself, Kevin Anderson the opera singer all the time and thus, we get credited with similar performances.

Hiya Kevin

Please read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Verifiability. Deb (talk) 11:02, 21 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have read everything and, as the work was in process have all the backup I need to cite references. However, the fact that Deb chose to fast track a delete means that NOTHING is on the page now even though it complies with page info. Most will reference IMDb as well as broadway world and other accepted pages on Wikipedia. The fact that you deleted it OVERNIGHT says to me that you are merely trying to be a troll inside this forum and not really be helpful to this site OR to the facts. Please either back off and let the site gain this actual information about this person who was ACTUALLY in these performances! Thank you Hiyakevin (talk) 11:57, 21 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have found many other sources to cite (NY Times, Roger Ebert, etc.). Caps are gone and I could send many of the references back to other Wikipedia pages that confirm the production. Please do NOT delete the page again due to lack of knowlege in this artistic area with my thanks Hiyakevin (talk) 14:47, 21 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Hiyakevin. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Kevin Anderson (tenor), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. Proposed deletion of The Bardy Boys

edit

The article The Bardy Boys has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable play. Almost by definition, inclusion in a fringe festival isn't evidence of notability. The source cited doesn't say anything about it being a hit. A Google search for "the bardy boys" returns just 25 hits, many for a show named "The Bardy Boys and the Nancy Shrews", and none of them related to this production.

—Largo Plazo (talk) 22:39, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

John D. Anderson (Distinguished Flying Cross) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, John D. Anderson (Distinguished Flying Cross), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
