Re: Your assistance please edit

Re your message: You will not want what is there as it was really a joke article. I was being kind in the deletion notice. The "article" was written by Herrflapjack (talk · contribs) and you can get the drift of their editing habits from their edit history. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:40, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: No, it was not a copy the Citizendium article or even remotely related to the mining engineer or the vessel. Just somebody's idea of a bad joke. It should have been deleted under CSD G3, but like I said, I was being kind in the deletion notice. Trust me, you really don't want it. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:56, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re: Phillips edit

I made the right call policy wise, and thanks for the FYI at the article had been reconstituted, because I have long awaited news of its return in order to put it back under the axe again. As for salt, no that was not hasty, it was the right thing to do at the time, but time changes all things, as it will here as well, so we will let the chips fall where they may at the new afd.

Regardless of what happens, know this: by bringing this to my attention again, you have in fact help Philips because a previous editor incorrectly recreated the page, which necessitates a page history merge. For this catch, you should be proud. For my part, I hope the article is permitted to stay, but as an admin I am honor bound to observe policy, and thus the new afd. I hope that Philips is allowed to stay, but that depends on the community. TomStar81 (Talk) 07:59, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I left a reply over at the afd, also I need your input into where the article should go if it stays here. Remember, the histories must be merged so that means that we need one definitive place to put the article when all is said and done. Your suggestion will set the stage for the keep camp to rally around, so make sure you reply as soon as you can. TomStar81 (Talk) 08:39, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Maersk Alabama edit

In your recent edit, both instances of surveillance are misspelled. Since both misspellings are in the Commons, and in the title, I couldn't find a easy way to fix since I have no experience with Commons files. Perhaps you could fix? Speedy deletion nomination of Sufyian Barhoumi edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sufyian Barhoumi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here.
