I see you're new here edit

Hi! I'm Thanoscar21, and I just want to say thanks for helping to revert vandalism. It's always nice to have extra people working on counter-vandalism. Once you get to 500 edits, you can access some great counter-vandalism tools (such as RedWarn), and you apply to the WP:CVUA once you get to roughly 200 edits. I strongly recommend joining that program; it'll teach you a lot about this place. Welcome to Wikipedia, and have fun! Thanoscar21talkcontribs 22:20, 8 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

How to report a vandal to the administrators edit

Hello there, and thanks for helping revert vandalism! We at the Counter-Vandalism Unit really appreciate your contributions and work in combatting vandalism.I just wanted you to know that once a user passes their final warning, it's possible to report them at WP:AIV where an administrator will block them. Looking forward to seeing you at the Counter-Vandalism Academy soon! Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 20:31, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also, if you have any questions feel free to contact me by placing {{ping|Pahunkat}} on your talk page and I'll get back to you. Pahunkat (talk) 20:34, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Twinkle edit

Hi Biglittlehugesmall65, I suggest installing the Twinke gadget in your prefrences, which makes certain tasks easier such as reverting, leaving warnings on User talk pages, reporting to AIV, among many other other tasks. S0091 (talk) 15:49, 12 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

First, without provocation you think I’m vandalising Wikipedia. Second, without provocation you think I’m proliferating a hoax. Third, without provocation you revert my edits and you violate BLP. That behaviour implies you are a returning troll who edits Wikipedia for illegitimate purposes. Please stop. 79.65.67.19 (talk) 18:17, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hey well than at least try to source it or be more professional/neutral about it, thanks Biglittlehugesmall65 (talk) 18:19, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

They are blocked now and you were right to revert them. Just remember to sign your messages/warnings. I noticed you forgot to do it with the warning you left this IP. S0091 (talk) 18:31, 13 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hey,

I see know that you are trying to use the gender-specific words for Eddie Izzard as she now uses she/her. I am sorry. It looked like you were just misspelling "comedian"

Election results edit

Hi there, thanks for helping to update New Zealand election results. Please note that we have the convention that percentages are expressed with an accuracy of two digits. You might as well change things in accordance with that convention. Thanks for chipping in. Schwede66 22:11, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Schwede66: Hi, thanks for letting me know. I fixed a few election boxes, and I'll probably continue tomorrow. Biglittlehugesmall65 (talk) 23:39, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nottingham Free School edit

Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from Nottingham Free School. We appreciate this, but unfortunately your edit was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you once again though for helping remove vandalism! AussieWikiDan (talk) 15:43, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@AussieWikiDan: I'm sorry. I guess after I got rid of some of the vandalism, I saw some more and tried to get rid of that too, never fully restoring the page to it's pre-vandalism state. I'll try to keep that in mind in the future.

Thank you for letting me know!

Thanks... edit

This edit edit

Hello, did you mean to make this edit? You seem to have undone a positive contribution. HouseBlastertalk 14:42, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@HouseBlaster: Yes. I undid it because it broke the link. Nicolás Jaar's page is titled "Nicolas Jaar" (without the little accent mark). I just went in and fixed it so it says Nicolás Jaar so it has the right spelling without breaking the link. Biglittlehugesmall65 (talk) 14:45, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Biglittlehugesmall65: Ok! Thanks for clearing that up! HouseBlastertalk 14:48, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@HouseBlaster: No problem. Sorry for the confusion! Biglittlehugesmall65 (talk) 14:49, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Biglittlehugesmall65: No worries! Glad we could clear that up! HouseBlastertalk 14:51, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Carnegie. edit

Hello. A simple recognition of mine, in a casually encountered article, denoting the sex of a human being being alarmingly declared "Vandalism" does surely allow us to reach conclusions about how complete the success of Carnegie's cultural endeavours have been. I don't feel a need to contend the point. For as long as Wikipaedia continues to exist, should not some means be available now or in the future to obliterate the Page's Edit History, the condoned "Vandalism" of the present age to the fact of their being men, and of their being women, shall perhaps, by the isolated attention now given to it, serve to be more enlightening to future ages of some people's early 21st. Century denials than a read- and-forgotten single word in a paragraph should ever otherwise have had. I've found reasons to be grateful for what might at first seem adversity before. Regards. 79.73.43.219 (talk) 17:55, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Kelc’h An Dael moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Kelc’h An Dael, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CommanderWaterford (talk) 15:38, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@CommanderWaterford: I understand, thank you for letting me know. Biglittlehugesmall65 (talk) 17:54, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

I see you are learning the ups and downs of counter-vandalism and doing quite well, can I recommend the WP:CVUA which gives you a brilliant foundation in all sorts of anti-vandalism related areas (I did it last year with tutor Cassiopeia who was a brilliant coach towards me!) I think the sock-puppet investigation you opened this evening should be ok, the check users/admins will figure out who's who there and thanks for reporting it! JW 1961 Talk 21:20, 11 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Joseywales1961: Thank you for the recommendation. I'll look into it and see if it is something that I want to get into. And yeah, I do hope the investigation goes fine. I just don't want to do anything wrong considering it was the first time I submitted one. Thanks again for the recommendation, and have a good day! -Biglittlehugesmall65 (Look at me or Talk to me) 01:28, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Help edit

Hello, once again! I want to know this time about where i can report vandalism. This article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sichuan%E2%80%93Tibet_railway&action=history seems to have a large number of negative values especially at the in the middle. I initially suspected it was vandalism and i still do, but i thought it would be best to pass on to pros like yourself :)

@LostCitrationHunter: Hi again! What I would do is warn the user on their talk page first. I looked through the edit history and it doesn't seem like the user has been warned yet, so you should probably do that first. I good counter-vandalism tool I use is called RedWarn. Set-up is easy, and once you have it you will be able to more effectively warn users with the wide array of templates. Once they have been warned several times and continue to vandalize, RedWarn should prompt you to report them to WP:AIV. Happy editing! -Biglittlehugesmall65 (Look at me or Talk to me) 20:25, 27 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

LostCitrationHunter (talk) 18:37, 27 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for your suggestion! I tried installing RedWarn but i got this message at the bottom. Chances are maybe its because RedWarn is available only for users above 500 edits and i have only reached about 120. But how do you usually open/use RedWarn though?

"Step 3: First time setup and troubleshooting

If you still see this message after a few seconds, there may be a problem. Follow these troubleshooting steps:

Make sure you're using a compatible browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. Safari (including all iPadOS and iOS browsers) are not supported. Hold SHIFT and click the reload button to refresh your browser's page cache Make sure that allow resources and scripts from toolforge.org through firewalls or other blocking tools Make sure other user scripts are not stopping RedWarn from loading. To test this, remove all other scripts but RedWarn from your common.js

If you're struggling still, feel free to contact us, we're happy to help at any time" :)

@LostCitrationHunter: Sorry! I didn't consider that there might be a limit on who can use it based on the number of edits. If an edit-count limit isn't the issue, then I'm afraid I might not be able to help you. Maybe try again later? For now, if you want, you can use this list of templates to warn users. Once the user has continued to vandalise after their last warning, you can use the templates on the WP:AIV page to submit a report. -Biglittlehugesmall65 (Look at me or Talk to me) 10:24, 28 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
