• • Hi, provided its the official music video and not a copyvio it can be linked in a quick way by adding the url of the youtube page between two ref tags after the relevant content on the article and then using the refill tool press here for the refill tool to expand the ref. Dear @Atlantic306:, My question is concerned with an article entitled R. Cengiz Ertekin. Would you please help me better undertand why this article was deleted? This article was about an internationally-distinguished Professor in Ocean Engineering who has made significant contributions to the scientific and engineering communities and has been widely recognized. I had revised the article several times with appropriate citations and links to external references. Compared to other pages already published about this Professor's students or colleagues, for example, this article was written more in-depth, informative and transparent. Act 2 Cam sources

Hi, I noticed you !voted "keep" at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Act 2 Cam, and commented that the article already has multiple references showing significant coverage in reliable sources. I took a close look at the references, and found that none of them meet the requirements, as they are either not secondary, not independent, or not significant coverage of the company itself. Aljin Abella

This section already says he played in 32 episodes and the show aired in 2008. And Category:Australian people of Filipino descent plus that "nationality" section I created already covers him being Filipino. I was trying to make the lead section less wordy since those details were already in other parts of the article. The "nationality" part was a keep him being Filipino descent in the lead (with less words), wile with Jungle Fury/32 Episodes, it's a fairly short articles, so readers won't have to scroll that far down to see it. I wouldn't keep this removing "necessary detail" as much as I was trying to keep basic information in the lead section while removing things that were already/better covered elsewhere in the article. In fact, a lot of what's in the lead section (starting from the "Abella is also well known for many prominent roles in top Australian theatre productions..." part) could probably be converted into the "Film and television roles" section since it mostly talks about his filmography anyway. I really don't see how I removed "necessary detail", so could you please elaborate on your view?—Mythdon (talk • contribs) 23:58, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Well, much of it can be reorganized and better presented, in my opinion. Some stuff doesn't belong in the lead section and the theatre stuff is presented inconsistently to that of the film/television stuff. Nothing's being removed by presenting it in a better fashion. What to do?

Hi, I see you reverted the strikeout of a !vote by an editor blocked for sockpuppetery with the comment that the editor wasn't blocked at the time (which, in a way, doesn't make sense cos the !vote couldn't have been made after the block?). I wasn't sure what to do but I saw that some of his other !votes had been struck out with a pointer to WP:SOCKSTRIKE. I know its an essay and not policy or even an adopted guideline, but have you anything recommending your course of action as an alternative? HighKing⁺⁺ 16:35, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

    • Hang on though - Knightrises10 and at least two of the identified socks, Javed Dogar and Jackfield1122 edited several articles within minutes of each other (just not this one). The intention isn't to only strike comments where more than one of the socking accounts commented at an AfD - I think SOCKSTRIKE is valid here. Or is your reading of it that we only strike if more than one socking account makes a comment on the same article? • There are now tools being tested to automatically detect copyright violations in the feed. This detector may not be accurate all the time, though, so it shouldn't be relied on 100% and will only start working on new revisions to pages, not older pages in the backlog.

Paid Editing

Hi Atlantic306, are you saying that SoftServe paid someone for the writing or that SoftServe was paid for the writing? What sections were written for pay? As for myself I have no affiliation with softerve I just know about them and saw their wiki page was a bit lacking. There was a section, I think the one on their hack, that seemed really odd, like negative odd. Though I felt I changed that enough to warrant the 'Paid Writting' banner being removed. Hiya. If you are interested in offline references/sources, check out The Wikipedia Library. It's pretty cool. Also you might be able to get access to digital collections through your public library - I live in LA and I can access all kind of databases using my Los Angeles Public Library card.JSFarman (talk) 06:34, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
