This article was created as a book review.
Hi AngusWOOF,
I am unsure why you rejected my article when it uses language that is preferred by both political parties. I am not sure how much more neutral one can be with the language of this sensitive issue without offending either side, so any suggestions would be helpful.
Also, it is a book review. You commented that a section already exists about my topic, but this is not just a topic. The article reviews a book written by this woman and expands upon the years of her work in her movement. It provides a background as to why her political party changed its platform to what it is now given her years of work to change it. None of that is contained in the article you cite as already covering the topic. Again, my article reviews her book so it is different from the one you cited, which is why I reference the same one you cited in my article.
If you could provide some insight, I would appreciate it!
Thank you.

- 47.34.93.92, you can take a look at the other articles that cover books that Schlafly has written and then be sure to reformat the lead paragraph. Also, it needs to have multiple reviews by different critics from major newspapers, and other reception. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:18, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I made the edits you recommended. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.34.93.92 (talk) 17:44, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Frogg
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Frogg, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://froggband.com/bio/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - This was the result of an edit conflict: you disambiguated the title literally the same second I tried to CSD it. I've moved the CSD tag to the new page and tagged the redirect under G8. Nathan2055talk - contribs 18:35, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Nathan2055, thanks for clearing that up. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:37, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Article submission
Hello, you recently declined my article draft submission and I am currently trying to correct it according to the notes made, but I was just wondering if there is a limit (eg. 2 submissions) to how many times a draft can be submitted before it would be deleted or something of that nature, since this is my first attempt at making an article. Thanks Terasail[Talk] 15:27, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Terasail, if the draft is declined, it can be resubmitted, and that can be done multiple times. But if there aren't any significant improvements between drafts, then it may be rejected (stop sign) instead of declined. But that's for stubborn submitters who won't fix anything and keep resubmitting it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:44, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Draft: Dinesh Nair (Sports)
The above mentioned draft was rejected for sources not being reliable. Is the issue one of the following?
1. Citations are not included for all listed initiatives
2. Citations included are not from reliable sources. Citations included are from the below sources which meet the 'Reliable Sources' criteria
a. Indian Super League (ISL) website - One of the top football leagues of the world. This league is listed in the notability criteria for a sportsperson
b. All India Football Federation (AIFF) website - The governing body of football in India, affiliated to FIFA
c. News agency online reports - Mumbai Mirror/Pune Mirror (Times of India), Football India (Sports news & updates website)
d. Indian Football database (indianfootball.de)
Please let me know so that I can make changes and re-submit.
- priyanka2984, Times of India is not a reliable source see WP:RSP. The ISL is a primary source. You need ones that are secondary. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 08:59, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Thanks for the feedback! I have removed primary source links & kept only secondary ones. Also have removed references to TOI. Promotional language has been deleted as well. One question though - I had created a namespace "Dinesh Nair (Sports)" but I see it is changed to "Dinesh Nair". Dinesh Nair re-directs to a different & existing wiki page for Dinesh Prabhakar. How can I switch it back?
- priyanka2984, I renamed it to Dinesh Nair since Nair the sports person would be primary topic for that name, and Prabhakar actor would have a hatnote. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:48, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Do you see any other issues that I can correct or provide more info on? Also, I see on the talk page for this draft, the following comment -
"Reviewer Note - See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dinesh Nair, but that AFD appears to be about someone else. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:24, 4 August 2020 (UTC)" Not sure if it refers to my draft on Dinesh Nair or some other one.
I have the youtube TedEx channel link for Dinesh's Ted talk. Is it reliable to be used for reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Priyanka2984 (talk • contribs) 08:40, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

AngusWOOF,
In your last rejection, you stated "please trim down the production discography to notable works".
Can you please share a minimum allowable number (ballpark estimate) of notable works that must be removed?
I agree that it can be condensed but getting a better idea beforehand will alleviate the headache.
Look forward to your reply.
Thank you much.

Hey Angus, it's me again! :) I've added source for film from IMDb. Can you see if that's reliable? Thanks. Because the movie is finished a while ago, there won't be any changes. Andrew012p (talk) 12:14, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

I don't think GNG consideration like " g Comment: Needs more external news sources such as https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/parenting/mothers-day/its-not-like-theres-an-instinct-called-mothering/article11824209/" is at all relevant to someone who meets WP:PROF by holdign a distinguished professorship and is elected member of the Canadian Academy of Sciences DGG ( talk ) 01:02, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- DGG, it is when the fact that she is a Distinguished Professor and CAS member was nowhere in the original submission. The original editor could have thrown that in and resubmitted instead of letting it go for 4-5 months. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:22, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- It wasn't highlighted as it should have been, but it was in the version your reviewed [1], as the 6th item under Awards and Honours". I added it to the lede as well when I re-reviewed. DGG ( talk ) 16:20, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- DGG, I didn't reject it though, so yeah the editor should have highlighted that in the lead. I guess it's good now. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:32, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
Hello AngusWOOF I tried to add more information in order to show that Troncoso merits mentioning. She the central figure behind the technology, which was implemented in the COVID-19 tracing app, SwissCovid, released by the Swiss government to combat the current outbreak. Thanks for reconsidering my additions and changes. Best! Quaenuncabibis (talk) 15:27, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- Quaenuncabibis, she might be redirected to SwissCovid, but the article does not even mention her name at all as the creator/founder. She also needs to be discussed in that protocol article. The way it reads on those articles, it looks like she could be just one of a huge team of scientists. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:37, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
Draft:Brian is Ze
You've recently rejected my draft because the subject does not meet notability guidelines. I thought they would meet the guidelines based on this recent article: https://preview.houstonchronicle.com/music/brian-is-ze-battles-illness-for-a-comeback-15472302
And these past features:
https://www.houstonpress.com/music/biz-vicious-creates-a-new-blueprint-for-success-7608561
https://www.houstonpress.com/music/biz-vicious-brief-set-leaves-downtown-gallery-crowd-dumbfounded-7442633
https://www.houstonpress.com/music/brian-is-z-speaks-out-for-houstons-lgbtq-musicians-8508086
http://www.outsmartmagazine.com/2016/08/brian-is-ze-meet-the-genderqueer-artist-changing-houstons-rap-scene/
I'm confused as to why this does not qualify this artist for notability. It seems like significant coverage to me.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Brian_is_ZeDraft:Brian is Ze — Preceding unsigned comment added by ArdentObadiah (talk • contribs) 21:57, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- ArdentObadiah, you need articles outside of the Houston area to show national / international notability. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:00, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
I don't see that as a requirement on the notability page. It says: "Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself."
It doesn't say the the artist has to have national notability. In fact, in another section, it says: "Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city"
A musician could be one of the most prominent representatives of their local scene without having national notability. ArdentObadiah (talk) 23:11, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
What about a paragraph in the Austin Chronicle? That's outside of Houston. https://www.austinchronicle.com/columns/2015-07-03/gay-place-we-do/ ArdentObadiah (talk) 23:35, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- ArdentObadiah, the local scene would be if they represent Houston music, not that they are just local entertainers. See WP:MILL. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello AngusWOOF, I read your comments and removed forbes contributors and techcrunch references. Do you think that these articles are enough to pass notability? [1][2][3] I know that the article could use more references but I don't want to talk about its products because i could read as marketing, but still the company is one of the pioneers in the cbd market and went nationwide with sephora partnership. Might be worth to let people work on it, right now it is just a stub. Thanks for taking the time to review.TihsPphanes (talk) 16:34, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft: House of Highlights (sports media)
Hi AngusWOOF! Thanks so much for your feedback on my Draft for House of Highlights. Would you mind being a bit more specific in regards to why the article doesn't have "sufficient content to require an article of its own"?
From highlighting the brand's purpose, founding and present work, are there any other aspects of a business that should be outlined to be approved for a Wiki article?
I've been submitting multiple drafts since this is my first article on Wiki, so I hope I'm not annoying the reviewers, but any further details and what I can do to get it approved would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any and all of your help!

Draft: Straight Talk Wireless
Hi AngusWoof,
I am reaching out regarding the page at Draft:Straight Talk Wireless. I have made sure to edit the page to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines, which I believe the current draft does. Although I am a paid editor, I want to do this the right way.
My first attempts were made before I really understood Wikipedia guidelines, and I made the mistake of leaving in information about how to purchase Straight Talk Wireless in the version that Sulfurboy rejected,
Since the draft was rejected by Sulfurboy for a single line at the beginning of the history section (as indicated by user talk page discussions), I figured the solution was to remove the rulebreaking content. Once I removed this line, I resubmitted it because as far as I am aware the draft now meets guidelines.
Before resubmitting the edited draft, I asked for additional guidance on the Help Desk, and left a note on the Talk Page.
I've also been taking the time to add to Wikipedia in non-paid ways, including editing and creating educational pages.
Please let me know how best to proceed, I am trying to rectify the previous errors in my editing but I'm honestly confused at this point.
Sincerely,
Frank

The article I created, Jewish History: A Trilogy, had been moved to draftspace by User:DGG for not having enough third party sources, and you declined the resubmission after I added sources, saying that it does "not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject" and that it should "offer some real critics reviews." However, I don't think that not offering critics reviews makes the article not qualify for a Wikipedia article. See the article, Theodore Roosevelt, Fighting Patriot, which doesn't offer critics reviews, or any information about the book for that matter. Should that article be moved to draftspace as well? If so, then there are 331,000 pages using Template:More citations needed and another 212,000+ pages with the Template:Unreferenced. Should 543,000 articles all be moved to draftspace? Is it not possible to simply add a template to the top of an article if instead of threatening deletion? Charlie Smith FDTB (talk) 02:50, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- Charlie Smith FDTB, AFC decline is not the same as threatening deletion. It's just a chance to get the article fixed up so you can resubmit it afterwards. It's not seriously up for deletion unless it's a copyright violation or blatant advertising, but if it's resubmitted too many times without improvement, that can annoy the reviewers so that they either throw on a rejection or request it be deleted with WP:MFD.
- For the book series, you need to show that it has been covered by multiple secondary sources independent of the subject. For books, it is usually by critics who analyze the series or review the series. Otherwise it would likely redirect to the author or primary editor. See WP:NBOOK.
- Articles can be notable but need more citations to back up their statements. The two templates you used can apply to statements within an article that has either passed notability or still in drafts. See also WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. If other books lack any sourcing or claim of notability you can tag them for such, and if they don't stand a chance of being notable, you can request them to be deleted per WP:AFD procedures. Draft:Rishi Kumar 2
The Draft:Rishi Kumar was recently removed by User:Anachronist because the user believed that I had financial obligations with the subject of the page. I am a volunteer for the campaign and wrote an unbiased article. I have no financial obligation, direct or indirect, to create this page. I was wondering how I should proceed from here? In addition, you commented that the page needs more mainstream articles, but some of the citations on the page include The Morning Consult, The Young Turks, and The Times of India. What other mainstream articles would need to be added for the page to be considered for the public space?Navya Vargese (talk) 21:17, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Also, sorry, I didn't mean to add a new section. I didn't realize there was already a section on this topic on your page.Navya Vargese (talk) 21:24, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Navya Vargese: I didn't remove Draft:Rishi Kumar. I moved your main-space article to draft space. Your article is there, but you can see prior revisions of the draft in the page history.
- You are an intern for the campaign, which implies a possible financial relationship. At the very least, as a volunteer, you have a conflict of interest and should definitely not be writing articles about your boss in main space. I looked at the article and realized that the citations were predominantly local-interest coverage and WP:ROUTINE coverage, insufficient to meet the WP:POLITICIAN threshold of notability. That is why I moved it to draft space. An editor with a conflict of interest about a topic doesn't get to decide what is appropriate to publish in main article space about that topic. It is pretty bad form to publish an article when there is already a draft waiting to be improved upon. Use draft space, get it reviewed, and if it is accepted for publication, you must refrain from further substantive changes but propose your changes on the article's talk page. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:39, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Anachronist: Thank you for pointing this out to me. I will try to go through the articles of creation process. Do you think any changes need to be made to the article before I submit it for review?Navya Vargese (talk) 21:56, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, the sourcing needs to be improved. Too much local-interest stuff, and as AngusWOOF pointed out, too many student publications. We need significant coverage by mainstream media with regional or national distribution; after all, he is campaigning for a position in the House of Congress, not a local office. ~Anachronist (talk) 22:00, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- A lot of the regional coverage needs to be replaced with national coverage. I've tagged several sources as needing better sources or are unreliable. If he isn't elected, he'll probably be redirected to the election page results for the district for that year. Please do not keep resubmitting the page. The page was going to be deleted from drafts because people kept doing that. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:53, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Rishi Kumar. Consensus from most editors is to wait until he gets elected. AngusWOOF (bark • ;sniff) 23:00, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- I put a reject on that page since it was submitted again without any improvments. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:24, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft: Will Staples
Hi - you rejected my "article for creation" about Will Staples for two reasons.
1) The sources were "not reliable" and are "Q&A". The sources referenced are all news articles from reputable entertainment publications and not Q&A, and the information on the draft page is also referenced on established Wikipedia pages for the corresponding projects/etc. If there was a specific source that you believe is unreliable, I will gladly make the edit.
2) I am confused by the comment about his other "writing partners" and their awards. Paul Haggis, whom you reference, was not his partner but another credited writer on the project. Paul has won numerous awards, yes, but not for the project Staples worked on with him so that is not relevant for the "Will Staples" article. Staples does not have any awards to my knowledge, though I will gladly add them if there are. The only project on his page that is "co-written" with another writer is Landslide, which I referenced.
As this is my first article, I would love any additional guidance getting this submission published. I have made every effort to have my submission impeccably sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RyanOzminkowski (talk • contribs) 21:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- RyanOzminkowski, need to find more articles that focus on Staples that are not trivial mentions. All of the sources presented so far are trivial mentions. I agree with you that there aren't any Q&A interviews posted here, but these seem very WP:ROUTINE announcements. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:17, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Deadline 2015 black list article - listed as credits, no significant coverage
- /Film 2012 black list - listed as credits, no significant coverage
- CNET - call of duty makes a billion - no mention of staples being the head writer
- Deadline - Ben Affleck - also a routine announcement, brief summary of past works, no biographical detail
- Deadline - Staples animal poaching - also a routine announcement, brief summary of past works, no biographical detail
- Hollywood Reporter - Mission Impossible 5 - announcement
- Variety - Right Stuff - announcement of Staples as writer
- Deadline - Right Stuff - announcement of Staples as writer
I am confused. Staples is referenced as a writer and producer in numerous Wikipedia articles but the links are all dead on those pages because he doesn't have his own article (e.g. All of the credits listed have their own wikipedia pages where their veracity is established). The supplementary information I listed is from reputable entertainment journalistic sources and is comparable to what you find on the page of any other entertainment screenwriter (I literally based the template on how other writers in that field's projects are attributed). I'm not clear what you are looking for, when compared to other writers in his field. Can you please offer some more constructive feedback as I am looking at analogous pages for writers and there is nothing different about this one? I just want to get some version of this page up and running so we don't have a bunch of dead links on other pages referencing him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RyanOzminkowski (talk • contribs) 05:56, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- RyanOzminkowski, we need significant coverage per WP:GNG, but you can go ahead and resubmit it and see if another AFC reviewer thinks about it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:07, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF, I'm sure you're doing pretty fine. Could you please review the above draft article. The article is about someone who qualifies for a Wikipedia article. To me, it has good citations and they are citations from good sources, news websites and magazines. This person has worked with great actors his movies. Actors such as Antar Laniyan Bimbo Akintola Bimbo Ademoye Funsho Adeolu Ebenezer Eno and so on. I suggest you verify from Google or other search engines. I wait to get a reply from you. Thank you.
- Does he meet WP:ENT? Does he have major/STARRING roles in notable television shows and films? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:29, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi AngusWOOF, Yes he meets WP:ENT and he have major/STARRING roles in notable films. You can do more research about him but I think he should have Wikipedia page. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abcdeditorr (talk • contribs) 20:37, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
- Abcdeditorr, I shouldn't have to do the research. See WP:BURDEN. You should list those shows in the lead paragraph. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:30, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
Request on 11:48:16, 29 August 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Lucy In The Fast Lane
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with the page I am trying to create for Lucy Evans (sprinter)
This is a page I have written for myself, which I declared on notes before submitting, so there is a COI, which I understand.
I am trying to link this article from a page already on Wikipedia where the name appears: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_World_Masters_Athletics_Championships_Women#W35_100_metres
Thank you for your comment "Please specify which criteria she meets for WP:NTRACK". For this I would say Finished top 8 in a competition at the highest level outside of the Olympic Games and world championships - Commonwealth Games, as per reference 4 on the submission. Any advice would be much appreciated

Sometimes starting over is easier, sometimes it's disastrous
Thanks for helping Helppublic on his user page. Sometimes, like in this case where there is no content to preserve, it's easier for a user to start over. Of course, when there is actual content to preserve, starting over leads to a big mess like the one I marked for history-merging earlier today. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:44, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- davidwr, yeah, feel free to light TNT fuses. I think the user has some writing on that temple now. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:40, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- He is and I basically un-did my "rejection" and replaced it with a "decline" similar to the existing one. I also took his addition of DISPLAYTITLE as a desire to move the page, and moved it for him. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:48, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Rishi Kumar
Hi AngusWOOF! I wrote a draft about Rishi Kumar, a candidate running for CA-18. Could you help me get my draft published? I was submitting multiple drafts merely because I wanted to get my first article on Wikipedia publish, but I did not intend to annoy the reviewers. Could you please work with me so I can fix my mistakes? Thank you so much! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joeinsanjose (talk • contribs) 19:40, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Joeinsanjose, see if you can find more national newspapers that cover Kumar's career, and even more Bay Area News Group ones for his tech career. A lot of those are coming straight from his own campaign interviews so that would be primary source. But I think he probably won't get a page here until he gets elected. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:43, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
OK, I will definitely try that! I will submit once I have gathered all coverage from national newspapers on Mr. Kumar. Is it okay to submit the draft then? Again, I do not want to annoy any of the reviewers in this process. I am just trying to get my first draft published on a politician I have seen on the news. Thank you so much for your help AngusWOOF, I really appreciate it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joeinsanjose (talk • contribs) 19:53, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Joeinsanjose, I would make the edits, but I would not submit it. The reason it's being considered for deletion is because people have resubmitted it too many times without establishing notability. If it were just developing without any resubmissions, it could stay around in draft. But now it's a mess WP:TRAINWRECK. For now I would continue to beef up your case for keeping it around by showing those national news articles in the deletion discussion. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:01, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
I understand. I will definitely do my research and add national news articles I can find that are impartial. I will edit my draft and keep it as is. Once it is more credible, will someone just eventually consider it as is and then decide whether or not it is publishable? Meaning I do not have to wait and then publish, instead I can just edit and let sit until someone deems it OK? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joeinsanjose (talk • contribs) 20:07, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Joeinsanjose, if he gets elected, then you can submit it. Unseating a 28-year "lifer" incumbent and becoming a national congressman is notable. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:00, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi. The Rishi Kumar page was moved to drafts. Kumar has met the notablity rquirement as he is in national and local newspapers.--PoliticalEddy (talk) 20:30, 22 August 2020 (UTC) Hey, AngusWOOF Does this article have a chance of getting published, or should I just give it up? --PoliticalEddy (talk) 18:51, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- PoliticalEddy, there are two main ways it can have a chance of getting published. 1) Kumar gets elected, which we won't know until November 2) There are enough articles about Kumar that meet WP:GNG and that are not localized papers. Read WP:THREE and WP:GNG. Also if you are being led by Kumar's campaign or Eshoo's campaign to write his Wikipedia article, you have a conflict of interest and have to declare that. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:27, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- PoliticalEddy, please note that for these purposes, Bay Area News Group, The Mercury News, San Jose Inside, India Post (Fremont, California), and whatever the name of the Saratoga newsletter is, are considered local papers. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:30, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi! You told me to merge my sandbox into another draft so that volunteers don't have to deal with multiple drafts. How exactly can I do that? --Joeinsanjose
- Joeinsanjose, you can put your edits into the Draft:Rishi Kumar and just work on that version. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 04:41, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I have added Morning Consult to the article. Morning Consult is most definitely national news coverage that is widely seen --PoliticalEddy (talk) 06:47, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- We need significant coverage. That article mentions and quotes a number of campaigns using TikTok, Kumar's being one of them. Kumar, and any other candidate for national office, needs to win elections without Wikipedia's help. Wikipedia absolutely most not be used as a publicity tool. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:37, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Draft: House of Highlights (sports media)
Thanks for your feedback from last week. On your last review you mentioned how the draft reflects the information that can be found on the founders wiki page. I went back and removed unnecessary information about him and only mention his name three times in my latest edit. This recent edit focuses primarily on House of Highlights the company from company history, current work and award recognition. Please let me know if this reflects the structure of an article that can exist on its own. I greatly appreciate your help with this article to aid me in my effort to get this article approved.

Igor Jankowski
Hello AngusWOOF, MichalDering is writing here. Could you please tell me what can I do for my English translation of Igor Jankowski wiki page to get accepted? There already exists a Polish version of this page https://pl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Igor_Jankowski and I wanted to translate it to English, which I did: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Igor_Jankowski. I cannot add more sources. I tried to search the internet to find some more but I cannot find even one appropriate for Wikipedia. Should I remove something from current draft to get acceptance for it? Igor is very good Polish composer and very nice person. I wanted to help him with this translation to make him get some more public attention. I spent few hours translating from Polish to English. I don't want this time to be lost. Please, show me the way to get to accepted version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MichalDering (talk • contribs)
- MichalDering, can you bring over more of the sources from the Polish wikipedia to support the writing? Also the article needs to have a translated from tag on the talk page. Also if you know Jankowski personally, you need to disclose that as COI. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:20, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, the Polish wikipedia page about Igor Jankowski is already completely translated (in 100%) so I cannot bring more sources from it. I know Igor Jankowski personally. I have met him few times. I have disclosed the COI info on the Igor Jankowski draft page. I don't understand "Also the article needs to have a translated from tag on the talk page.". Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival
Hello AngusWOOF. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Articles deleted via AfD are not eligible for G4 when recreated in userspace or draftspace. Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 20:32, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Jackmcbarn, okay, but if it gets tendentiously resubmitted, I'll have no choice but to push it to MfD. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 03:09, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Times of India
I saw your request for protection of Divya Agarwal, and noticed your characterization of Times of India as unreliable. I'd only recently begun to have suspicians of it as an RS; seems like a lot of crap articles and press releases were being passed off as regular articles. I did a little searching and found this RFC, which led me to this article. Very helpful information. Thanks for posting that. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:35, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
- Ohnoitsjamie, check out WP:RSP's take on Times of India; that's mainly what I'm going off. The IPs who are trying to revert it to their version want to throw all that research away. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:07, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
I gotta say...
For years now, and I cannot explain why, your signature and this installment from Order of the Stick have an association in my brain. Especially panel 6, in which the dog sums up what is probably the over-arching philosophy in a dog's life: "When icy jaws of death come, you will not have had enough treats. Nod. Get treat."
Maybe it's the natural connection of the sequence of your signature and the panel: bark / sniff / nod / get treat. I don't know. ~Anachronist (talk) 22:25, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's fun to think like a doggie when it comes to editing Wikipedia. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:40, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Up to a point. Being "a dog trapped in a man's body," as Homer Simpson has been described, would probably be going too far. Homer as a Wikipedia editor would likely get blocked eventually. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:44, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

- The Meena article already has the statement in the lead "The Meenas claim connection to the Matsya avatar of Vishnu, and the ancient Matsya Kingdom." so if you claim that they are the same, then develop the Meena article since that refers to the tribe and not the god. The other option is to redirect it to Matsya Kingdom and develop that article since they mention Matsya tribe there too. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:51, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Matsyameena (talk) 11:06, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- Matsyameena, I've explained this to you multiple times. You need to focus on which tribe or people. If you are fousing on Meena tribe, then develop the Meena article. If you want to talk about Matsya Kingdom, there's Matsya Kingdom. If you want to talk about Matsya the god or avatar, then there's Matsya. Same with Dravida Kingdom. You can't just mash them altogether like that, use the terms interchangeably and assume that is a new article. But most of your article is already covered by Meena, including the history of the people. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:09, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
the Matsya and Meena
I am not focusing on the tribe , ill explain how meena ,matsya are connected with ancient Indus valley , But still, you didn't accept the article that's why I am not adding about DNA of Indus and meena are same , I just want that every one should know that who were the Indus People, please support me bro I have all reference .Matsyameena (talk) 04:41, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

I updated the referencing linked news sources so they aren't repetitive. Also, I don’t know the person directly, but I’m a community advocate to promote the industry, if I’m successful with this submission, I hope to add more. Just I’m learning and starting with this article about Raoul Bhatt Tonystargazer (talk) 02:50, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

No, it’s different articles, if you look closely they are different journalists. It was a big story in my province and there we’re at lot of journalists writing about it. Tonystargazer (talk) 13:18, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
I saw the tag you placed, i no longer work for the same boss, just now I saw this individual get popular in the news, so I wanted to finish what I started.
There’s some others I want to write about if I am successful with this one post. Tonystargazer (talk) 13:22, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
Is that enough for you to approve article? Tonystargazer (talk) 13:38, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tonystargazer, the older draft that you submitted had identical articles with the same title for their article, posted across different news sites, so at least that is cleaned up now. That happens a lot for agency news articles like Associated Press or AFP. Anyway, Bhatt seems to have a lot of notability among local journalists, so if you can find more external news sources outside the immediate area, to show national or international notability, that would be helpful. The agency articles would help for that, as long as they aren't press releases or routine company news announcements where he is only mentioned in making a brief statement. If you can list the three best articles about Bhatt per WP:THREE, then that will help AFC reviewers. As for COI, if writing a Wikipedia article would make you more favored in that industry then that be a COI. Another way to think of it is: Would you write about that person if they were from a completely different area / business sector, and would your sources cited be able to stand up there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:33, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- Tonystargazer, if you think the article is ready for another review, you can resubmit it. I don't necessarily have to be the one to review. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:35, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
Hey Anguswoof, thanks for taking the time to teach me. That makes sense with Canadian Press and how the aggregation works. I’ll be conscious of that too!
I’m just trying to write about what I know, I’m not hoping for any personal gain, only to learn how Wikipedia works and try something new. I hope I can have fun and learn new skills through this process.
How do I submit? Can you approve it directly? Tonystargazer (talk) 06:08, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Ok! I moved article from draft to article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raoul_Bhatt

Hi,
I have tried to remove all claims that could be constued as promotional. The short entry now has 12 sources, 9 of which are not the subject's profiles but external sources including national media in Nigeria and books (available via Google Books for verification). I do hope these changes are enough but I am open to making further changes.

Hey Angus, I removed some of the additional names under the Brando Crawford page. He is known for Acting for a Cause and the coverage on his series was extensive, and split between attention on the series and on him as a director. He is verified on Instagram and has a massive fan base. I believe based on the publications he is notable enough to create this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilywilliams1212 (talk • contribs) 04:16, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Dear AngusWOOF, recently, you decided to decline my submission writing "the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at 'Digital content' instead". Unfortunately, this is a misunderstanding. 'Screen content' and 'digital content' are totally different concepts/categories even it might sound similar for the non-expert. I would like to ask, whether you could reconsider your decision. Is there anything I can additionally do in order to bring this article 'Screen content' into action?
Kind regards, CompVisExp (talk) 14:14, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- CompVisExp, you need to show through mainstream news sources that there's a distinction between the terms. A better option is to have a split proposal on the Digital content page and get consensus on whether that should be split up between Digital content and Screen content. Dear AngusWOOF, apart from the fact that I don't know how I could technically implement your suggestion, it sounds like I should explain the difference between apples and pears (or more appropriately: between an apple and an orchard :-) ). I could edit the 'Digital Content' page and write that there are different types of images, but 'Digital Content' describes very general things, while 'Screen Content' is something very special. If the 'Screen Content' page were active, it might be useful to add a link from 'Digital Content/Images' to 'Screen Content'. Is this a compromise you could follow? I really appreciate your time, CompVisExp (talk) 08:49, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
AngusMEOW?
Hey there, has anyone ever asked you about AngusMEOW? Is this an alt account of yours? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:10, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard discussion
Hey there, I forgot to notify you that there was a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard that is tangentially about you. You've done nothing wrong, it's about the user who has adopted your naming style and signature style, and user page stuff, etc. It has since been closed, and part of why you didn't hear about it sooner, is because I posted the delayed response to the wrong user's talk page. Ugh. See this. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:11, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb, thanks. I'll see if I can play around with my sig so it doesn't look the same. Angus W🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 05:03, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi! You just declined a draft I made about an actor because "need more lead roles in major productions". I don't understand this. He stars in a major Netflix show that came out a week ago so I believe he's notable... People will want to google him. When the actors of Stranger Things got famous, their only big role was that one and they had Wikipedia pages... The main reason I created the page is because, when googling him, his birthday is wrong because it uses a random website as reference instead of Wikipedia. I think it's important to have a reliable source for Google so people don't spread misinformation. Can you tell me what I can add to show that he's already notable? Thanks.
Wikinformadora (talk) 12:21, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
- Wikinformadora, he needs significant coverage in reliable sources per WP:GNG. For actors, they need to meet notability for entertainers WP:ENT which is multiple roles in multiple shows. Angus W🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:39, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi! Thank you for replying. I added more info about the actor's roles and more references to imdb. This person already has a Wikipedia page in German (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Gillespie), so he was considered notable enough. I just want to have the page in English as he's Canadian. Can you please aprove it? Thank you so much.
- Wikinformadora, I'm still not seeing enough external news sources about the person's career, or more significant roles in other shows. Also, do not reference IMDb. That is not a reliable source because it's user-generated. WP:RS/IMDB Angus W🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 05:57, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I am currently working on the draft for IUPUI CyberLab. I am glad you mentioned to me on creating this page as a subpag for the IUPUI Wikipedia page. I have done some research on what a subpage is and am interested in creating this page now as a subpage. Could you please give me guidelines on creating subpages as I am very new to Wikipedia. Also to note, I will be adding more references to the page but first wanted to get an understanding of subpages. Thank you. XxCNxxCL (talk) 20:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- XxCNxxCL, I don't know what a subpage is, but I would summarize it as a sentence or paragraph in the IUPUI page first. Angus W🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:03, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I am really eager to have the CyberLab page published as of its own page. If you have any other feedback for me to get this accomplished I would really appreciate it. I will be adding more text to the page with more sources to add.XxCNxxCL (talk) 18:23, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Draft: 56 card game
Hi there, I had submitted a draft for the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:56_card_game which was rejected for the following reasons:
- This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources.
Comment: This should be developed more in the Twenty-eight (card game) article which explains the general rules and then discusses this variant. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:34, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Needs more external news coverage AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:33, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
I have referred to the following pages that have the rules of the game: https://www.pagat.com/jass/56.html#other http://www.56international.com/56-manual.html https://www.56cardgameonline.com/56rules.html
Regarding adding it to the 28 card game page, I think people would get confused as the rules and bidding styles are different and believe that 56 deserves its own page.
Regarding external news articles missing, unfortunately there are not many external news articles available for this game, although the game is very old. There are some tournaments held within clubs, for example the following ones: https://golftourney.com/golftournaments/international-card-game-56-tournament/ http://www.56international.com
Also saw this community facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/56CardsGameCommunity/
The main goal of the page is to have one reliable place of information regarding the game and its rules. Hope that this information is sufficient. If not, could you kindly let me know what to do in the cases where there are not enough news articles available?
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 56game (talk • contribs) 16:06, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- 56game, why would readers be confused if the information added is in the appropriate section? Then you can focus on how that differs from the 28 card version. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:22, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- 56game, please keep in mind, that Wikipedia is not a web host for the 56 game website WP:NOTWEBHOST, so the better details should remain on the website. On Wikipedia, it can just be a summary of the variant. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:27, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello,
After last year's debacle (multiple submissions declined and then rejection), I am trying to rewrite the page on Cafetran Espresso, starting from scratch. This time, I will directly liaise with the people in charge of the evaluation in the past (same message on their talk page), and ask for your assistance.
Disclaimer: I am not at all involved in the development of CTE. I am just a professional translator whose bacon was saved by the tool. Being quite active in various translator communities, I know for a fact that CTE is one of the most mentioned (which of course does not mean used) standalone CAT tool after SDL Trados, MemoQ and Wordfast (the other current big players being Cloud-based). It is particularly important for people under Linux, being quasi the only professional-grade tool. For us, CTE is not just notable. It is vitally important.
The conundrum I face is that, being in 2020, the immense majority of software comparisons are via blogs. CAT tools are not groundbreaking technology warranting a publication in research journals. And all other types of articles are now published via blogs or forums (personally, I cannot remember the last time I read a magazine, even online). This issue would be met with any CAT tool develop today.
So I started by deleting all the boasting, as well as the detailed technical descriptions, which can be re-introduce later if needed. I think what remains is more than a stub. I would appreciate your help to grow it until the point it can be acceptable as a page, without adding material that would fire up new controversies. Nicolas Gambardella (talk) 13:55, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Nicolas Gambardella, I suggest adding secondary external news sources, at least two that will meet WP:GNG. It can stay at stub level when you submit it. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:02, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks Angus. I will do my best (370000 hits when we Google "cafetran espresso" is not bad for a start) It is just a matter of finding sources that are acceptable as reliable. This is where we will need constructive advice rather than unspecific statements and blanket rejections. We will get there eventually Nicolas Gambardella (talk) 15:25, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Nicolas Gambardella you can check WP:RSP and WP:NSOFT for some ideas for what's considered reliable source among main newspapers. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:20, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Manjappada-related items
About the 3 sources
Hello angus, about the recreation of article Manjappada ,I have a source assessment table prepares by another admin.According to that it have 2 sources that is reliable ,independent as well as have enough coverage. It also has 3 best sources as per the requirement. So why it is still not allowed to be a sepreate article. Shahoodu (talk) 16:36, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, why wasn't this presented back then when the drafts were being submitted? Could have saved all the hassle of the rejections and create protections. We will review those. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:41, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, see my feedback on the DRV. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:15, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

You said that THE WEEK only mentions about one boycott the fan club ended. But as you go down it says about the importance and influence of the fan club like DES commented. Same with that of Indian Express. Both are reputed newspaper and magazine of India.SO I believe that makes two reliable independent sources with enough coverage. About the third source I hope any of these 3 will satisfy the criteria. All these 3 gives a significant coverage about the fan club 1.https://www.thenewsminute.com/article/manjappada-diehard-kerala-blasters-fan-group-s-making-waves-111908 2.http://www.firstpost.com/sports/isl-2016-kerala-blasters-passionate-manjappada-fan-club-the-winners-before-the-final-3161688.html 3.https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/5-things-that-other-fan-clubs-can-learn-from-manjappada Please go through these and tell your opinion Shahoodu (talk) 05:32, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Please warn insane 1234
He is continuosly making disruptive edits despite getting warnings. He has copied the contents the support section of Kerala Blastersas well as some from my sandox and created a new article under different name. Guys like him are the reason the article cannot be created at the first place. The fan club has nothing to do with it. I also request you to start s socketpuppetry investigation against the same person Shahoodu (talk) 04:01, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Why this discrimination
To your notice that the DRV of Manjappada has failed. But I want to tell you one thing. Please see the article West Block Blues which is the fan club of Bengaluru FC. The fan club does not even have one third of the coverage of the Manjappada and there is not even a single source that give good coverage about the fan club.Yet it exists in wikipedia by overvcoming 2 deletion discussions. I dont know why this discrimination is happening. According to WP:Other stuff exists , if West Block Blues can have an article Manjappada can surely have. Please have a look at the sources provided in West Block Blues article. There is not enough coverage about the organisation. Its my humble request to start an investigation about West Block Blues and start a discussion at DRV as it only have contents to be merged into Bengaluru FC main page. Shahoodu (talk) 05:07, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
- Shahoodu, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is the other way around. Just because other articles exist doesn't mean your article should exist. But if you feel like West Block Blues isn't independently noteworthy, you can initiate an AFD on that one. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:53, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, AngusWoof,
Thanks for your prompt review on the draft earlier. I'm new to all these stuffs and it was my first submission. Anyway, I appreciate your comment and feedback.
Back to the draft discussion, I would like to explain my decision not emerging the Scholarship-related content into the existing Memorial Fund article in the first place as obviously editing existing articles is way easier than creating new articles in general. There are 5 different types of Lawrence S. Ting Scholarships at this moment, and only 2 of them are related to the memorial fund. The other 3 are offered and sponsored individually. After consideration, I believe a separate article will be more proper though they are somehow related. Besides, scholarship program is just one of the main charity works the Memorial Fund has been doing.
Meanwhile, I will try to find more details & sources about the program and sponsor of each type of the scholarship as suggested. If I could find sufficient content, I'll resubmit for review. WKPDVIP (talk) 05:20, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- WKPDVIP, this might be better summarized at a Legacy section for Lawrence S. Ting then, such as: Several scholarships have been named after Ting, including 2 from the memorial fund, one from (institution) for college students in (country) etc.. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:24, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
Our thoughts were similar. I also considered summarizing all these under the existing Lawrence S. Ting (LST) article before submitting the draft, but the reason why I chose not to do so include:
- All the scholarships were only set up after Ting passed away (4 were original and 1 was re-named). They are not about what Ting did in life but about what others started to do after his death. They are related but one doesn’t belong to the other.
- After searching other similar scholarships which are named after someone on wiki, “Someone” and “Someone scholarships” are usually different articles. For example, Rhodes Scholarship and Cecil Rhodes; Marshall Scholarship and George C. Marshall; Churchill Scholarship and Winston Churchill; Fulbright scholarship and J. William Fulbright; or Dr Manmohan Singh Scholarship and Manmohan Singh.
- The existing LST article is quite simple. I think it looks weird when an article of Someone only shows a brief introduction and then suddenly jumps to some scholarships named after him/her without providing any other more related info/details about him/her, such as background, career, family, achievements…
- Considering on another perspective, if today the LST article doesn’t exist, I think no one would suggest to create LST article first and then place the scholarship content there.
- There may not be many enough online search results in English now. But there are already many in Vietnamese (few hundred thousands) and some (few thousands) in Mandarin talking about the scholarships in the past 15 years. It's notable enough to me.
To conclude, I think the scholarship is worth owning its own article apart from LST article. Wiki links between them are just fine. And one scholarship is enough. We don’t need 5 separate scholarship pages, totally not necessary. WKPDVIP (talk) 07:45, 05 October 2020 (UTC)
- WKPDVIP, which scholarship are you trying to write about? There are 5 different versions of them. You should focus on the one that is independently notable and comparable to the Fulbrights and the Rhodes ones. If that's the one put out by the LST Foundation, then add the description in a section there as a logical redirect. But the list of possible scholarships should go in the Legacy section for LST. the ones that are specific to a school such as LSTS, SSIS, or Taiwan ROC should be grouped under "Other LST scholarships" since they aren't quite the same thing as the two national ones. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:09, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks, AngusW🐶🐶F!! I would like to know if you get you right. Is the structure below what you are suggesting?
Article: Lawrence S. Ting Scholarships
First section starts with its brief introduction. LST Scholarships blah blah blah put out by LST Foundation. They are two types: 1) Directly granted to students on annual ceremony by LST Foundation; 2) Indirectly awarded to students via partnership with various foundations and charities. Besides, there are also 3 other LST Scholarships by LSTS, SSIS, and ROCMA individually.
Section section talks about the independently notable one by LST foundation
- direct type
- indirect type
Third Section mentions the other 3 versions
- SSIS
- LSTS
- ROCMA
References
External links
Two more questions:
1) You said "If that's the one put out by the LST Foundation, then add the description in a section there as a logical redirect." ---> I don't understand "as a logical redirect".
2) You said "List of possible scholarships should go in the Legacy Section for LST" ---> It means later the current LST page should also mention these scholarships in the Legacy Section, right? WKPDVIP (talk) 03:25, 06 October 2020 (UTC)
- WKPDVIP, I was hoping the draft could be merged into the LST Foundation article or the LST article. The school scholarships should go to the school article; they really aren't initiated by LST or the foundation but through the established school. But yes, the structure you have would be good too. The third section should be shortened to a paragraph like: Other scholarships have been given out bearing LST's name: SSIS provides (detail); LSTS provides (detail); and ROCMA provides scholarships for some of their students in Taiwan. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:57, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Hi, just wanted to ask for more details about your comment (to point to three good, reliable sources for the draft above). I've found what I feel are good sources, which follow the standards linked in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:RoySmith/Three_best_sources. Is the idea that I should rewrite the article using only those sources, and get rid of the rest, or integrate these three sources into the existing text?
For context, the sources are:
https://meduza.io/feature/2017/02/03/pochemu-haski-novaya-bolshaya-zvezda-rossiyskogo-hip-hopa (in Russian)
https://www.bbc.com/russian/news-46292459 (in Russian)
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/22/russian-rapper-husky-faces-jail-over-gig-on-car-roof (in English)
I can provide more info about these sources and their content too, if that's useful.
Thanks! Бундист (talk) 03:44, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Update - OK - I think I fixed it following your comment. Going to resubmit now. Бундист (talk) 06:07, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Just a quick note - I actually ended up using this source from Kommersant as the third source in the career section, rather than the article from The Guardian: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/4511586 I still included the article from The Guardian in the introduction to the page. I hope that's ok! Бундист (talk) 16:44, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Draft: List of Catholic Athletes
Good Morning. I see you declined my article on the grounds that it was not formatted the way that other articles of the same type are. While I am open to changing the names to resemble this list, I will not be changing the article citations, especially since many of these 'lists' have been proven incorrectly. All of my citations are taken directly from the athletes' personal life section of their own personal Wikipedia article. Thanks in Advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.138.248.205 (talk) 12:11, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- 64.138.248.205, several things. 1) The list needs to have more general references to news articles about the grouping of Catholic athletes. 2) Citations should be mainly from secondary sources, not other Wikipedia articles. 3) The details should be simplified more as with List of Jews in sports; it doesn't need every individual team and year, just that they were playing in particular leagues and position. The first item is the most important to get it out of draft. Otherwise you're making a big cross-categorization. WP:CROSSCAT AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:44, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi. The proposed page lists authors. The suggested merging page Marathi literature has a different format. It is about literature and has a small paragraph about sciene fiction. The proposed page "Marathi Science Fiction Writers" is the first one in the series of proposed pages listing authors in different Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada, and more. Once these pages are done, they all will be linked together. There is a category page Indian Science Fiction Writers, but not a content page. I also plan to update "Marathi Science Fiction Writers" later, with more details about authors, which will serve as a good reference. Thanks! September 17, 2020
- My suggestion was to make a subcategory for Marathi science fiction writers and for others to be grouped in a similar manner. If you want to make one strictly about Marathi science fiction, I suggested developing that in the science fiction section in Marathi literature first and then request a split proposal for it. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:59, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- Also per WP:SMALLCAT, you need to make sure there are enough authors to split off from the Indian science fiction writers category. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:11, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! For WP:SMALLCAT suggestion: The list of writers has only 3 common names. Indian science fiction writers page has 19 authors from across the country. My proposed page has 24 authors who write in Marathi. So, it is a strong case for making a dedicated page for Marathi science fiction writers. For students and researchers, the new page will be a rich source, and also an opportunity to improve it further. I am trying to get this going so that others can contribute more later.
For your suggestion AngusWOOF, I'll highlight the science fiction section in Marathi literature page. But that would still need my page for details about authors. The literature page should be about the introductory information about the genres, and the authors page should be about authors and their body of work. Thanks! September 18, 2020
@AngusWOOF, I have updated the Marathi literature page, and you will see that it has only 2 lines on Science Fiction. Thanks! September 18, 2020
@AngusWOOF, and @SMALLCAT, kindly see the above replies and give feedback about the next steps. Thanks! September 21, 2020
@AngusWOOF, and @SMALLCAT, I have not received any response! What is the next step? Do I submit the draft again? September 25, 2020
@AngusWOOF, and @SMALLCAT, I have not received any response! What is the next step? Do I submit the draft again? Whom should I contact? September 28, 2020 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marathiscifi (talk • contribs) 14:58, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Marathiscifi, I only see one sentence about science fiction there. Shouldn't that be at least a paragraph? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:02, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Yes, and if you see the broad scope of the topic Marathi Literature, we cannot add more on Marathi science fiction, or the topic will get unbalanced. Hence I have been suggesting a separate topic Marathi Science Fiction Writers. The Marathi Literature page also does not include any author list, so my proposed list will be a misfit there. Thanks! September 30, 2020 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marathiscifi (talk • contribs)
- Marathiscifi, how is that unbalanced? You only have three short paragraphs about the subject. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:21, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, should I put the 3 short paragraphs in Marathi Literature and just writers in the proposed Marathi Science Fiction Writers? Marathi Science Fiction deserves a separate own page. It has own page in the Encyclopedia of Indian Literature, which is outdated now (link) and also at international level. For example, here. --Marathiscifi (talk) 16:46, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, I have edited and re-submitted. The entry in Marathi Literature is modified. --Marathiscifi (talk) 18:03, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
- Marathiscifi, can you clean up the tone presented in that section? It shouldn't talk about "our lives" or how it's a rich experience. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:09, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, done. --Marathiscifi (talk) 18:17, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

- AngusWOOF, Hi so you mean to say the section must be create on the main article right?
--111.88.202.97 (talk) 19:49, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- 111.88.202.97, that's a better place per WP:WITHIN, unless you can find more sources that review the film itself. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 20:50, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

I have added extra information as suggested for The Nosferatu to the main page Nosferatu_(band) however I fully expect the page to be maliciously edited to remove this as previously. This was the reason to create a standalone page. GothGatekeeper (talk) 21:35, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- GothGatekeeper, I don't understand who these "admins" are in your edit on the Nosferatu (band) page. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:42, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
The George Lucas Talk Show
Hello AngusWOOF, this is mcdougal; I am very new to the Wikipedia editing and publishing medium, but I have quickly gotten quite fond of it. First off, I wanted to thank you for checking out my draft of The George Lucas Talk Show and pointing me in the right direction of sourcing and referencing what I had up so far to meet the standards of Wikipedia. I have resubmitted the draft with proper citing and am waiting on approval of those edits. I wanted to ask your advice about writing a section about the history of The George Lucas Talk Show, where that history has not been published in many ways if any. I have found a wealth of information on the subject through youtube interviews with the hosts, and am reaching out to them for first hand accounts on sections of the shows genesis that I have not been able to find information on. Will linking to youtube interview videos been enough as a source for these history sections? I may have a few other sources, but I feel like audio interviews with the hosts might be my best resource and am hoping it will be enough. Do you have any advice for me on how to move forward with this? Thank you for your time, -mcdougal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcdave mcdougal (talk • contribs) 02:03, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- mcdougal, I suggest using mainstream news sources like those listed as reliable in WP:RSP. You need to establish notability for the podcast/show first, then the background interviews can support some of the details later. Interviews are conducted by major media organizations like NPR would be more notable than ones conducted by non-notable fan groups. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 04:25, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Great, thanks for that advice. I think the sources I used for the introductory section should be reliable enough for the article to meet publication standards (IMDb, AVClub etc), and once the article is reviewed again hopefully it will published. Do you think adding a less easily verified History section would hurt the chances of the overall article being published? Should I wait until the main article is published and then add the History information and edit it from there? Again, thank you for your time helping me! -mcdougal Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 14:30, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- mcdougal, I would remove IMDb from the sources, since IMDb is user-generated and not a reliable source. WP:RS/IMDB AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:50, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Oh good call, thanks for that, those changes have been made and published. Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 17:26, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello again AngusWOOF! Thank you for your continual reviews of my draft, I really appreciate it! I had used the Comedy Bang! Bang! reception page as an example during the creation of this draft; should I write something along the lines of "Reception for The George Lucas Talk Show has been generally positive, with..." and go into listing those quotes in that manner? Most of my cited sources are generally positive and include praise, and at this time it hasn't been reviewed by more neutral critics; would it be easier for me to remove the Reception section entirely and add one or two reception quotes to the 2nd paragraph of the introduction? Again, thank you for your time helping me through this! Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 15:25, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, thanks again for continuing to help me with my draft! I was wondering if you recommend any further changes to this draft or if I should wait for it to be reviewed again and go from there? I have said thanks many times, but I also wanted to make sure I am not being bothersome with the amount of communication I have had with you. I really appreciate your time and the help you have given me to make this a page worth publishing. Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 19:23, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Matthew Broadhead
Hello Angus,
Thank you for your comment on my draft article.
"Primary sources need to be replaced by external news sources."
All of my primary sources are from external websites that I have no affiliation with. Do you mean replacing links with citations? I appreciate any insight you can give me to make this right.
Best wishes, Matthew

AngusWOOF, you helped me so much through this process. I can't thank you enough for your timely and consistent direction to help me create my first Wikipedia entry worthy of publication! Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 16:58, 15 October 2020 (UTC) |
- Mcdave mcdougal, you're welcome. Keep at it. There are a lot of good sources including regular mentions for their monthly events in New York Times, Brooklyn Vegan, Time Out (magazine). Also check out the three writeups in Village Voice I listed in their talk page, and the Air & Space Museum writeup. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:42, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

I have added content to Wikipedia page why is a draft of the current third largest hospital in Tanzania it is declined because of a Campus.I am not writing about a school.I am writing about the third largest hospital in Tanzania. Muhimbili National Hospital Mloganzila.I hope you can see the newly updated entrance gate information and the picture of the hospital i am writing about and the information i updated.
Omari 2003 (talk) 10:01, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
- Omari 2003, it needs more context and history as to why it should be a standalone hospital article. It shouldn't have all the directory-like information. Otherwise it appears to be a campus extension of the Muhimbili National Hospital. I know it's not a school but if it's organized like a satellite campus then it should be part of the organization as per WP:BRANCH. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:47, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

- Aredit85, this is very confusing. Vardmel requested the draft article be restored so they can work on it. Are you using two accounts? Why are you asking for it to be deleted after asking for it to be undeleted? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 04:46, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Please see Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Draft:Vamelo. The result of that is that the article has been restored. Vardmel, please make up your mind if you are planning to work on this draft or not. Also requesting for images to be removed isn't Wikipedia side. You need to go to Commons to make those requests and have a legit reason as the images posted there are usually in the public domain or free-to-share. Aleialei Atoll
Excuse me, AngusWOOF. You told me my new addition of my country Aleialei Atoll couldn't be added because there was no reliable sources proving it even exists. Could you please check here:

If you could please, kindly check them for me as proof and verification I would greatly appreciate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FCC8:6148:B200:B8BD:3B49:4B6A:C4FE (talk) 02:14, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- 2607:FCC8:6148:B200:B8BD:3B49:4B6A:C4FE, you need external news sources showing notability for this location, not personal custom Google docs or linkedin. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 03:11, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

My friend, why do you reject the request in a row? What is your problem? Information about the presence of this player in the under-23 team is available at this link. His profile has not been updated on those sites yet. He is a new player in the Iran League who has played a few games recently and therefore there are not enough resources yet and he has played in the Premier League. Now why did you reject him for no reason? I do not know the reason؟The article is made like other articles of his teammates.Hojjat HaghverdiLike this article, why don't you delete these articles? You are stuck with my article.--Do me follow (talk) 21:14, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- Do me follow, please add news articles showing his participation the Pro League. Then that should be good enough to meet WP:NFOOTY. The problem is that it still has 2010 information, and the number of apps/goals is not sourced anywhere. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:15, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- If you have a problem, ask me why you show this problem in my articles. I have written the article very carefully, but you even wanted to delete the external link, which is present in other players' articles and no one deletes them. The bottom line is that chasing newcomers is bad for you.--Do me follow (talk) 21:17, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- This player has just entered the league and there are no news links for her yet, and in the same pattern of fame, playing in a game in a valid league means fame and having fame.--Do me follow (talk) 21:19, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- Do me follow, there should be an article that shows him in the roster and that he played in a game. If he's played in 11 games so far with Paykan then there should be routine coverage of him and some statistics showing his apps. Same with his previous teams 2017-18, 2018-19. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:23, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Ms Thing
Thanks for your work on this article. It's the first article I've ever contributed from scratch, so it's useful to learn some of the formatting and presentation that I was not clear on!
I get why you've moved "Dude" to the 'featured artist' list but the original Jamaican release on 7" vinyl came out in 2003 on Mad House label and Ms Thing is not a 'featured artist' on this release; rather it is co-credited to her and Beenie Man. I know Discogs is seen as an unreliable source here but I own this record and 'Artist feat. guest artist' is an unusual formation in Jamaican releases. FYI https://www.discogs.com/Beenie-Man-Ms-Thing-Dude/release/552885 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Martvibes (talk • contribs) 12:02, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- Martvibes, on the UK charts and Billboard charts, she's credited as Featured artist though. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:17, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Yes - the release that charted is the 2004 release on Virgin rather than the 2003 release on Mad House Martvibes (talk) 16:18, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
To clarify as I realise my original post wasn't entirely clear - I've left the 2004 Virgin release under 'as featured artist' and re-added the 2003 Mad House release under 'singles' Martvibes (talk) 16:22, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for all the work on this, really pleased my first contribution has gone well. More to come! Martvibes (talk) 22:23, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Do I need to add more content for the draft to become an article or should it be merged with The Week?
ButterfliesAreAmazinglyBeautiful (talk) 12:13, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- ButterfliesAreAmazinglyBeautiful, I suggest you merge it into a section at This Week for now. If there is enough notability separate from This Week, then you can consider a split request. But with what's been written in there currently, there isn't enough to split yet. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:59, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
