List of sovereign states edit

Hi Alegeregere111. Many thanks for all the effort you have put into creating the lists of sovereign states by year. You may have noticed that some of them have been tagged with maintenance tags, indicating that some further work may be required. However, I'd like to stress one of the main principles of wikipedia, which is that all articles and claims must be cited from independent and verifiable third party sources - see WP:VERIFY. If this work is based on a compilation of states that claim existence at a certain date, this may be original research which is also discouraged, see WP:OR. However, it is a matter of some debate with different points of view, what exactly constitutes a sovereign state and there may be some controversy amongst scholars as far as individual states are concerned - hence the need for third party sources. As a course of action, may I suggest to redirect some of the effort to completing pages in existence with references and full, verified contains as opposed to the addition of unsourced new articles for new time periods? I am conscious that unverified articles may at some point get deleted which would be a shame for wasted effort and also that the workload for the community grows to make those lists encyclopaedic which may require considerable digging, especially for older time periods. Many thanks. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 06:42, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Ayocarty (talk) 23:20, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay, great! You could create the table with the same format of the 2001 article and I can add their ages and hometowns with references. Alegeregere111 (talk) 02:27, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I do not know how to create the table but I know how to add ages and some hometowns. Ayocarty (talk) 13:26, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I will do the table then. Alegeregere111 (talk) 13:31, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello! Already added the table. You could continue it if you want to. Alegeregere111 (talk) 13:41, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
