StarHub TV is an fibre TV network owned by StarHub. During the launch, the channels are started with 3, it was expanded over the years.

edit- On 11th July 1991, Singapore Cable Vision was officially launched starting with 3 channels[1]:

- In 1992, NewsVision (now defunct), MovieVision and VarietyVision (now VV Drama)[2] were launched. Firstly, NewsVision launched, then the other channels appear on the TV screen.
- Later in 1995, Singapore Cable Vision was relaunched with cable channels, offering up to 50+ channels[1]. New channels available are Australia Television International, Asia Business News, BBC World, Cartoon Network, CCTV-4, CETV Family Channel, Channel V, CNN International, Discovery Channel, ESPN, MTV Asia, NHK World, Prime Sports, Star Chinese Channel, Star Plus, TNT, TVB Super Channel, TVB Zong Yi, TVRI, TV1, TV2, TV3 and Worldnet.
- In August 1995, CTN was launched. Later that month, HBO replaced MovieVision.
- On 11 September 1995, Zee TV was launched.
- In February 1996, Channel KTV was launched.
- On 1 June 1996, DW-TV was launched.
- On 2 September 1996, Eureka Learning Channel was launched.
- On 1 October 1996, Sun TV was launched.
- On 1 December 1996, Phoenix Chinese Channel was launched.
- On 1 April 1997, Cinemax and TV5 were launched.
- On 9 August 1997, Football Channel was launched as SCV's first in-house sports channel.
- On 1 February 1999, Japan Entertainment Television was launched.
- On 1 April 1999, Star Movies was launched after being not included in its original channel lineup.
- On 1 June 1999, National Geographic Channel was launched.
- On 22 December 1999, SuperSports was launched as SCV's second in-house sports channel after Football Channel.

edit- On January 15th 2000, Disney Channel Asia was launched outside Malaysia. This affects almost all Asian TV providers including SCV.
- On 9 March 2001, Nickelodeon was launched.
- On June 14th 2001, Discovery Travel & Adventure was launched.
- In March 2002, Soundtrack Channel and Reality TV has launched. On 31st of the same month, Eureka Learning Channel was discontinued and was replaced by Worldnet, which is launched back in 1995.
- On June 2002, Singapore Cable Vision merged with StarHub.
- Asia Plus and VV Entertainment was launched on 1st January 2003. On the same day, VV Drama was now available on the Asian Tier. [3][4]
- Celestial Movies was launched on 15th April 2003. [5]
- From 14th to 17th March 2003, Disney Channel was available free-to-air for an temporary period. [6]
- SARS Channel was launched on 21st May 2003 to show the information about the SARS disease to all viewers, the channel officially replaced Preview Channel until 10th June. [7]
- SARS Channel ceased broadcast on 10th June 2003, officially reverted back to Preview Channel.
- Bloomberg Television was transitioned to 24-hours on 30th December 2003 moving Worldnet to another channel number. [8]
- In 2004, Discovery Health, Discovery H&L and Discovery Science was launched.
- Star Chinese Movies was launched on 21st January 2004. [9]
- Playhouse Disney was launched on 15th May 2004. [10]
- On 29th May 2004, StarHub Cable Vision launched digital services. [11]
- CCTV-9 was launched on 10th November 2004. [12]
- Asianet was launched on 7th April 2005. [13]
- On 29th August 2005, E-City (+2) was launched. [14]
- On 1st September 2005, A1, Asian Food Channel, BBC Prime, Eurosportnews and Fox News Channel was launched. [15][16]
- From 2nd to 4th September 2005, Playhouse Disney was available free-to-air for an temporary period. [17]
- From 6th to 9th September 2005, VV Drama was available free-to-air for an temporary period. [18]
- Discovery HD and National Geographic Channel HD was launched on 18th January 2007. [19]
- Channel V China, Channel V Taiwan, CNN Headline News, FX and TTV World was launched on 1st February 2007. [20][21]
- TVB Xing He was launched on 2nd May 2007. [22]
- Football Channel was relaunched on August 2007, in fact the new channel now also air Barclays Premier League championships. [23]
- Sensasi was launched on 6th August 2007. [24]
- On 29th August 2007, StarHub now offers 24-months period of free-to-air Bloomberg Television and Discovery Channel on all public schools nationwide. [25]
- From 1st to 5th September 2007, Playhouse Disney was available free-to-air for an temporary period. [26]
- Neo Sports was launched on 26th September 2007. [27]
- On 4th October 2007, STAR Gold and TVB Classic Channel was launched, in fact the STAR Gold channel replaced Voice of America which is ill-fated. [28]
- Golf Channel was launched on 16th October 2007. [27]
- BabyTV and Star Chinese Movies 2 was launched on 25th January 2008. [29][30]
- TVBS News was launched on 3rd March 2008, officially replaced Asia Plus. [31]
- Cricket Extra, MNC - The Indonesian Channel and Star Cricket was launched on 17th March 2008. [32][33]
- Eurosport was launched on 15th April 2008. [34]
- On 1st May 2008, Playhouse Disney was moved to Kids Basic Group. [35]
- AXN Beyond and The Biography Channel was launched on 27th May 2008. [36][37]
- Zone Reality was ceased broadcast on 7th July 2008, due to reviewing of Chellomedia's operations in Southeast Asia.
- HD5 was launched on 28th July 2008. [38][39]
- HD Showcase was discontinued on 1st August 2008. [39]
- Sports HD was launched on 14th August 2008. [39]
- History HD was launched on 1st September 2008, replaced HD Showcase. [40]
- Vannathirai was launched on 24th September 2008. [41]

- On 16th January to 31st January 2009, all Chinese-language/Chinese region channels (including CCTV-4, Celestial Movies, Channel V Taiwan, CTi TV, E-City, Japan Entertainment Television, STAR Chinese Channel, STAR Chinese Movies, STAR Chinese Movies 2, TVB Classic, TVB8, TVBS-Asia, TVBS-News and VV Drama) was available free-to-air for an temporary period, all due to the event of Chinese New Year.
