Just a clarification on why I started the page edit

I just found out that the page had previously been deleted through consensus, but I just want to clarify why I made the page. Firstly, because the Telegraph has published an in-depth article about it as well as multiple articles by The Times, plus review articles by The Observer and the Evening Standard. I saw one of the arguments for deletion had been that it's "too soon," which it certainly was at the time, I agree, but now i think is the time to write that article. Agreed. I was about to recreate the page myself if nobody got in before me, so thanks for doing so. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 10:10, 11 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because... it is not substantially identical to the previous version and now contains mutiple references to reliable secondary sources with in depth coverage of the subject. The original article was WP:TOOSOON but this one is not. --Jonathan A Jones (talk) 10:27, 11 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

(Non-administrator comment) I endorse the re-creation. There's been enough coverage (or at least a presumption of enough coverage - from releasing a book) that a notability discussion should be re-visited before the article is deleted. power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:04, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Vice edit

Should we add something about Andrew Doyle's normal and proportional response to a Vice article which said he wasn't very funny? 83.218.151.178 (talk) 11:47, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps this should be added to Andrew Doyle's page. Alex Devens (talk) 13:11, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Jonathan Pie edit

Is Andrew Doyle no longer writing for Jonathan Pie related to him writing Titania McGrath and for Spiked? 83.218.151.178 (talk) 08:02, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Godfrey Elfwick edit

My congratulations to whoever included a Godfrey Elfwick column as a source. Humor aside, was it ever confirmed if Elfwick and McGrath are written by the same person? McGrath appeared around the time the Elfwick account was shut down on Twitter. 73.149.246.232 (talk) 06:19, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
