What is this redirect??? edit

Temple Block, particularly the capitalized version of the phrase, needs to link to the disambiguation page. A Temple Block is not "automatically" assumed to be a wooden fish! Keizers (talk) 17:11, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

A compromise edit

How about this page is moved specifically to Temple block (instrument) with a redirect for Temple blocks (instrument)? Personally, I don't care too much about the redirects as long as it's recognized that modern temple blocks are distinct from the muyu. Why? I Ask (talk) 19:14, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Temple blockTemple block (instrument) – Needs disambiguation as several locations are also named Temple Block Why? I Ask (talk) 20:18, 15 February 2022 (UTC)— Relisting. —usernamekiran • sign the guestbook(talk) 06:11, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 16:05, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • A dab page already exists, at Temple Block. Dr. Vogel (talk) 02:42, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
    • Oppose. This is a valid case of WP:DIFFCAPS. The localities would not be contenders for lowercase "temple block" name, and are listed at Temple Block.  — Amakuru (talk) 12:42, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. I don't really much care about the disambiguation pages or redirects, I'm just trying to preserve this page as someone previously deleted the earlier content [1], made it redirect to the muyu which is not the same thing [2], and then redirected it to a disambiguation page [3]. I figured by moving this page to have "(instrument)", it would give both sides what they want. Why? I Ask (talk) 01:01, 18 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Who are these "both sides"? The page should be named according to our naming conventions, and there seems no particular reason to move this one. We don't make moves just to please people, and if the page was deleted without discusison then you were right to restore it.  — Amakuru (talk) 12:58, 18 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, it doesn't matter much to me, but I figured that precision could help considering some past edits [4]. But, as I have placed a hatnote about other pages, I think the page should be stable for now. Why? I Ask (talk) 03:38, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
