Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Assessment

Welcome to the assessment department of WikiProject Korea! This department focuses on assessing the quality and importance of Wikipedia's Korea-related articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WikiProject Korea}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Korea-related articles by quality and Category:Korea-related articles by importance, which serves as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist.

Frequently asked questionsEdit

How can I get my article rated?
Please list it in the section for assessment requests below.
Who can assess articles?
Any member of WikiProject Korea is free to add or change the rating of an article.
Why didn't the reviewer leave any comments?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of articles that need to be assessed, we are unable to leave detailed comments in most cases. If you have particular questions, you might ask the person who assessed the article; they will usually be happy to provide you with their reasoning.
What if I don't agree with a rating?
You can list it in the section for assessment requests below, and someone will take a look at it. Alternately, you can ask any member of the project to rate the article again.
Aren't the ratings subjective?
Yes, they are, but it's the best system we've been able to devise; if you have a better idea, please don't hesitate to let us know!

If you have any other questions not listed here, please feel free to ask them on the discussion page for this department. Further information can also be found at the WikiProject Council's article assessment FAQ.

An article's assessment is generated from the class and importance parameters in the {{WikiProject Korea}} project banner on its talk page:

Requesting an assessmentEdit

If you would like an outside opinion on a new quality rating for an article, please feel free to list it below.
Note: This is only to rate the article on quality (class and importance) - you will probably not get feedback on the article.
If you desire comments please use the peer review process.
If you assess an article, please remove it so others will not waste time reviewing the same article(s).
It is also helpful to leave a brief note on article's talk, under a heading "B-class review", stating why the article was failed (or that it was reviewed and passed).
Make sure to check the overview on how to assess a Biography article for details on how to assess. Thanks!

Articles submitted here will not be rated above 'B'; see Wikipedia:Good articles and Wikipedia:Featured articles for higher assessments.

  • Red Flavor (LipaCityPH (talk) 06:37, 10 March 2021 (UTC)). I request for a re-assessment of the article. I believe that the importance scale of the article should be higher as the article has something to do with representing South Korea. You can read the article and also refer to the article's Critical reception and recognition and live performances. You can also refer to the citations after this sentences.[1][2][3]

I've assessed Kim Dong-hyun, and given it a C class and low importance rating. Haiiya (talk) 21:37, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
  • Don't Call Me (album) BaaBaaTheSheep(talkctb) 00:37, 23 November 2021 (UTC) I believe that this article is already ready for its re-assessment. It seems to me that the article is already well written and it has good sources.
  • Kep1er - I don't think the article deserves a C rating, it seems to have multiple reliable sources, and a lot of information. I think it should be reviewed again. Our_Princess (talk) 19:27, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
  • Samguk yusa- Reliable information from the academic articles including related images have been added to this article. I don't think this article just deserves a Stub level. Please assess this article as soon as possible. Thank you
