Takao Okawara (born December 20th 1949 Tokyo Japan) is a #REDIRECT Japanese film director, writer and producer.

Biography edit

Most famus for directing Heisei Godzilla series, Okawara joined Akira Kurosawa and Ishiro Honda on the film Kagemusha (1980). Four years later, Okawara became the assistant director for the first Godzilla film of the Heisei series: The Return of Godzilla (1984). Okawara directed his first film Reiko, the Psyche Resurrected (1991), which he also wrote. Okawara directed the most profitable Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Mothra, in 1992. He also directed the first film in the Millennium series, Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999).
